Easy walking distance from the main sights and near to several good restaurants, this is a clean, simple hotel with very pleasant, helpful staff. The breakfast was very good, worth the extra €12. The room was comfortable, a little dated but perfectly adequate.
We've just enjoyed a two-night winter break in Salzburg, and are delighted that we chose the Mozart as our base. The position is fantastic - just a couple of minutes' stroll to everything, and the staff couldn't be more friendly or welcoming. We shall (hopefully) be returning, and definitely recommending!
Located on the "hotel route" (many hotels on the neighbourhood), near Mirabell palace, it is quite a walk to the old part of town. It has decent rooms, nice price, good breakfast and good beds. The nicest is the hotel receptionist, which was kind to provide information about events in town, and even schedule any of them upon request. He even showed wich was the cheapest option to park around the corner, as it was weekend. The hotel has 2 parking spots in front of it, so it is possible to leave luggage and passengers.
Right from the front desk welcome when we first entered to the checkouts where they said goodbye with a Mozard CD as a gift, I loved everything about this hotel, well.. mostly. The rooms were spacious and since we got an upgrade, the room had almost 180deg view of the alps which was fantastic. Although this is not a very modern hotel, its not far from it. The breakfast was good with a variety of selection and they cook the eggs fresh on request. However, the only bit that I was a bit disappointed about was the unavailablity of tea/coffee making facilities in the room or in the hotel for that matter. Except for the breakfast, you cant get any tea/coffee. You have to walk out and find the nearest cafe for your refreshments. I would have loved to enjoy the views we got from the room with a cuppa for sure. Otherwise, this is a very nice hotel..
The Hotel Mozart is a cosy family-run hotel located 10 minutes walk from Mirabell Palace and 15 minutes walk from the Salzburg Railway Station. The room that I had 406 was a single room that was simply furnished. As with most European hotels, a single room meant that you had a single 3-feet wide bed. Breakfast at the hotel was continental style and for an additional €12. I recommend that you have your breakfast at the hotel because if you were to have your breakfast outside, you will probably end up paying the same for a simple continental breakfast. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and gave useful tips on restaurants and public transport. In summary, Hotel Mozart is a good and affordable hotel close to the historical centre of Salzburg.
Outstanding hotel in every regard, especially their staff. I have done my share of travelling, both personal and business, and this is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. If I visit anywhere near Salzburg, I will stay at the Hotel Mozart, if at all possible. Book your room here. You won't be disappointed.
I loved this hotel, not because it was perfect per say, but rather for its quirks, such as the very high toilet seat and also the fantastic staff - welcoming and incredibly helpful. We were there on the first weekend of December which was very busy with the majority of restaurants already booked out. The staff provided us a list of possible venues to eat at and then when we chose a few, they rang around to see where we could get in and made a booking for us (which was a fantastic meal by the way). The room was very comfortable and we had a lovely view encompassing the nearby snow covered hill and the town. Very efficient heating if required, although I loved being able to open the window and allow the fresh air in at night. We were able to walk to the Old Town and Christmas markets, and the main tourist bus departure point was a short 10 minute walk away. The breakfast room had that authentic Austrian feel I was after, with great food and staff. My only regret was that they didn't serve dinner as I would probably have eaten here for all my meals. Thank you for a fabulous stay - we loved being your guests.
Convenient location. Very comfortable room. There was even a kitchen corner. WiFi was good and the TV had a good selection of channels. They have their own parking, which costs a few euro but the lady at the reception said that I could just park on the street in front of the hotel. The breakfast was ok.
General Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2017. Could not fault it for much but see below. Recommended for future stays in Salzburg but I think there are better hotels in the city but they are more loikel;y to be expoensive. Location 10 minute walk to old city and other major sites Service In all respects excellent. Front Office efficient. Housekeeping always friendly. Room Not particularly big in size but kept immaculately by housekeeping. Food and Drink Only breakfast on offer which we didn’t take. No bar.
Great hotel, rooms traditional and well decorated, public areas spacious and a great breakfast. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the station and about 15 minutes from the old town. There are some nice restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. In particular, a great receptionist called René, who could not have been more helpful. He was also a very personable and friendly guy, a real credit to the hotel. All in all, good value hotel and highly recommended.
