Very well located on the main pedestrian street of the new town. Great choice of cafes, bars and shops at your door step. Cosy hotel ( maybe too warm ) with twelve or so rooms, very spacious, clean and modern. Serve yourself bar is in the lounge, just note on the book what you've consumed. Breakfast of €18 was not included in the rate. No parking at this hotel, however a large covered parking lot is 100m from the hotel at €17.50 per day.

Really nice room with separate comforters. We got there about midnight and really appreciated that they made after-hours check-in easy on us. Breakfast was fresh and healthy. We were on the top floor next to the street and didn't think it was loud.

Junior suite was pretty great with nice bath, location is perfect. Very quiet in October, it is minutes away from the best restaurants and tourist attractions. Some great spot to eat just down the street, and all the castles are not far away, you can walk everywhere from here.

This hotel was recommended by a family member in Germany, although I was skeptical we did book it. I was pleasantly surprised at arrival.... Luke at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Once we got to our room we were even more delighted... the rooms are large by European standards, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very roomy. We faced the street and did not have any issues with noise as was mentioned by other reviewers. There is construction going on on the street... so we did hear it but it did not disturb our sleep. The location of the hotel is perfect. You can walk to everything! Very quaint, authentic Austrian hotel.... you would not be sorry staying here. Overall we were very pleased and would stay there again!

We stayed there for two nights. We had problem reaching the hotel by car, the car is not allowed in the front of the hotel and the GPS told us to go to the wrong location. The hotel staff was not very helpful pointing to us about where to go. Also there was a major construction in front of the hotel that woke us up at 6am. We love the location and the hotel but not too keen about the service. However, it is our favourite room for our 7 weeks travel in Europe. The room is really big and with a sitting area and we could watuch sound of the music on the TV over and over again.

I'd booked this hotel a month ago, mislead by all the pictures that make the property looked great in their add, what they forgot to mentioned is that there is heavy construction going on in the street in front of the hotel from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. See the pictures and that show what we went through in this 2 days in a hotel with no ethics ( they intentionally lied) and no understanding of what's customer service is, this applies to all the employees of the hotel. I'd asked for a partial refund or a cancellation for one day so we can move to another city, they told me that I had to cancel 48 hours before check in!!!!! Please don't be fooled by the pictures, or the star ratings that this place shows in most booking sites. Rooms are small, as well as the rest of the hotel. If you need anything after 7:00 PM, you're on your own as there's no personnel from the hotel staff from 7:00PM to 7:00 AM.

Such a shame. We have a small but pleasant room overlooking the street which is busy and noisy all day. The back overlooks the churchyard- our bad luck. Unlike the old town there is no cafe curfew at 10 pm and the noise at 11.45 is still intrusive- it need not have been as there is good sound proofing from the double glazing but there is no air-con. It's 35 here just now and it is humid and miserable. The bed is hot, the covers too thick, the air stale. The bathroom is nice but very small. The hotel is unmanned from 7 pm and you need to remember your card to access the breakfast room for free water and hot drinks and the refrigerated self serve bar. There is nothing in the room so you need to be prepared before you go up. I'm very disappointed as it is a nice wee place otherwise, well situated for the interesting parts of the town, and the river.

The hotel is lovely inside, the staff friendly. Very clean and modern. I cannot, however, recommend this hotel for the reason that we were awake until 5:30 AM listening to rowdy drunk people shouting and singing. All. Night. Long. And then the 6:00 church bells began to ring eery 15 minutes. Any room that faces the street will have this problem. There is no A/C, so open windows are the only alternative on warm nights. (and even if they were closed, the noise was so loud that you'd hear them anyways). The narrow paved street serves as an echo chamber. The management is aware of the issue, but there has been nothing done to address it. Either 1.) engage with the city government to get a noise ordinance enacted and/or 2.) install window sill air conditioners to dampen the noise and keep the room cool. We faced our 7 hour car journey the next day thoroughly exhausted. There are alternatives in the Altstadt--much prettier and less rowdy. We will go elsewhere next time.

We arrived in Salzburg for 2 nights this past week. The staff at the hotel desk were lovely and waiting for our arrival. They had free coffee, tea and hot chocolate at all times and offered us a city map. Our room was clean and it was fairly quiet. The unfortunate part is that there was heavy construction going on outside on the street below our room so we were woken up to the sound of construction every morning. Wifi was good. The breakfast was a bit pricey for what seemed to be not that much so we steered clear and had cafe breakfasts instead. The room was spacious for a family of four, having two rooms and a lounge.

Getting there was easy. Less than 10 EUR by taxi. One could walk it down as well. The check in was smooth. The folks at the reception were friendly and explained all the freebies (tea/coffee/chocolate/cakes) The biggest plus was that it was so close to all the attractions and the most beautiful areas of the city. Plus the most charming restaurants of the city were just around the corner. Would highly recommend
