I remember the last time I stayed at this hotel was like 20 years ago with my parents, And was very nice. So I wanted yo stay here again and what a deception! Hotel is now very ugly, and rooms so dirty, the carpet from room looks like is been there for years and years. They did some remodeling, but was only to the main entrance and reception. And gym was... well... Ill post some pics from gym. Only good is Location of hotel.
The hotel was very clean and the service was just great ! Everyone was very helpful from the moment we walked in the door. We liked the hotel because there was everything around there we didn't have to go far. Thank you
The hotel offers full service and host a very friendly and helpful staff.For business or pleasure, the hotel is located close to just about everything: manufacturing plants, shopping centers, bus terminals, downtown attractions and museums, and good restaurants. The hotel hosts a complementary transportation service, that includes return pick-up. Just make reservations in advance. Don't miss attractions nearby the main square and the Desert Musium, "Museo del Desierto. Ask the staff for an attractions brochure.
We were regulars in this hotel. But not anymore! Pros: -awesome bed. Extremely comfy. -good service from staff in the breakfast area. -better rooms from left wing of you have the main entrance behind you. Cons: -too pricey for quality -old rooms -old decorations -not super clean -sometimes you'd get good amenities. Other days just wouldn't get complete service. -wifi doesn't work everywhere in the hotel. Or simply wouldn't work. -WC would get stuck! -continental breakfast is too simple. If you want more you have to pay. -reception people used to be nice and let us get a late check out from time to time. This would accommodate perfectly in our traveling schedule. However, the last time because of the change of management, they said "It wasn't possible". This is not annoying since these are the rules. We understand. However, The RUDE attitude was annoying! The receptionist called and said in a rude and annoying attitude "Bring the key to reception personally, asap". When in this hotel leaving the key at the room and calling that you were leaving was enough. The key it was brought and explained that we were regulars and this attitude was not accepted. So we would never come back. They didn't apologize at all. Disappointing! The only reason to stay here for is was the bed and the friendly staff. After our experience we wouldn't stay here anymore. I don't recommend it.
I have tried to stay at this hotel twice. Both times I have made the reservation online. The first time I tried to stay there I was told that only a certain part of the hotel had internet service. I agreed to stay even though I given a room in the non-internet part of the hotel. Now bear in mind that Choice Hotels website advertises that there is high speed WiFi included in the stay. I would have been ok with being able to use the WiFi in the lobby area, but it did not work there either. As I tried to eat dinner prior to going to the room I had to wait almost 45 minutes for my food to arrive, all while undertaking a futile attempt to connect to the internet. After that activity I opted to go elsewhere for the evening. Due to the convenience of this property being near the location for my work I opted to give it another try. This time I booked online, and before doing so called the hotel and was assured perfectly working internet service. Upon checking in, I was again informed that there was "no internet" in the area of the hotel I was to be given a room in. I opted to leave and cancel my stay. This time they tried to charge my credit card after not fulfilling the claims made on the Choice Hotels websites. Honestly, the experience at this hotel was a complete waste of time. I travel for business and require access to the internet. If this service is not offered, it should not be advertised. Not to mention the location trying to bill me for a cancelled reservation for a service they claimed to provide. Will not waste my time at this place again.
Room is loud, I could hear babies and TVs all night long, the carpet is wet do to the AC leak. One day I waited 1:15 minutes for a plate of steamed vegetables. It eventually arived cold. Today, I actually had a dead animal skin in a club sandwich, I threw up on spot. This is just outrageous. When I took to kitchen and the manager, the lady who saw it amost thre up herself! The waiters are literally asking you for a tip, even after you wait over an hour. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone, seriously. It is not even a good deal to be worth considering. I hated my stay there, even tho I am usually not very picky, at all.
I recently stayed 5 days at the American Eurotel in Saltillo on business. The rooms were nice in the style of typical American hotel chains. The service was excellent, the breakfast good (included in the room cost) and the hotel meet my needs for business. The air conditioning worked well, the water plentiful and hot, the room quiet and the beds comfortable (all surprisingly good for Mexico hotels). All that said, the hotel lacks character, style and closeness to the central district (cab ride, too far to walk). Nothing special, but then again nothing surprising. Good choice for business travel without the ned for anything extra.
The hotel was not bad by Mexican standards but for the price they charge one can get a regular hotel room anywhere in the USA or Canada for a fraction of the cost. Not recommended if you want a good deal.
I would give my experience only 2 out of 5, but I want to be fair to those looking for a room. I think normally, it would be a 3 out of 5 considering the location, but I am a little perturbed by the service. I don't know if I can attribute this to the staff or to the chain itself, but I am starting to lean toward the latter. I have made a complaint via email, and still haven’t heard a word (4 days). Anyway, I made the reservation through Holiday Inn’s web site, and booked a king size, non-smoking room. It is important to note that I would have incurred a $25 fee to cancel the room. It took the Hotel over 30 minutes to find me a room at all, and only a smoking 2 double bed room. I was on vacation with my wife, so that really wasn’t acceptable. As they say, they know how to take the reservation, but not how to hold it. Other complaints were as follows: I made the reservation in dollars, and they charged me in pesos an amount that will never equal the quoted price given the current exchange rate. The pool water was dirty, and the pool was not kept up (this seems to be a trend with American Chains in Mexico). There was a lot of noise (people banging on the door at 3am for 30 minutes). That could happen anywhere. The room itself was pretty nice, the beds were comfortable, and they had a neat self serve lock box. The bathrooms were clean, if not a bit old. The hotel staff is reasonably friendly if you are in the United States, but considering we were in Mexico, I would say it was below par. If I went to Saltillo again, and didn’t want to stay in one of the downtown options, I would stay here since I know what to expect, and it is the only nice American chain that is reasonable close to the downtown area (about 5-10 mins via cab). The cab ride will cost about $20-$30 pesos (2-3 USD). There are also numerous restaurants close by, and they have a business center where you can use the internet.
EL hotel el agradable. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas, se respira un aire de limpieza y frescura que se puede descansar excelente. La alberca es excelente, amplia, climatizada y techada, la recomiendo al 100%. El gimnasio tiene lo básico, pero es agradable. El servicio por parte de los recepcionistas es bueno, mas no de todos, recalco el excelente servicio por parte de Yarely y Nereyda, siempre atentas a nuestras necesidades y dando mas de lo esperado. El lobby es bonito estuvimos mucho tiempo ahí ya que es cómodo y tranquilo. Me gustaría opinar lo mismo del área de restaurante pero ahí dejan mucho que desear la cajera por estar jugando o en el celular o de volada,ademas que sin presentación, hace caso omiso a las necesidades que se nos puedan presentar, los meseros igual todo el tiempo en el celular, el gerente no hace nada al respecto mas bien no tiene la idea de que es ser un gerente al menos no cuando es trato con cliente, solo dando ordenes y gritando claro esto después de vernos molestos, no sabe como instruir a los jóvenes, preferimos evitarnos el tener que quejarnos con el, se lo comentamos a la gte de recepción y amablemente nos ofreció atendernos ella misma y un descuento por los inconvenientes, pero la verdad no queríamos ya saber nada del servicio por parte de restaurante en ese momento. Esto afecta realmente a toda el área de restaurante aunque tengo que recalcar el excelente servicio de la señora María Elena y el joven Nestor durante el desayuno, lastima que por otras personas se tiene que calificar mal esta área, hay muchas personas que tienen mucho potencial, lo que se ve no se juzga. Tienen área de juegos , chiquita, pero muy útil, ademas de unas mesitas al aire libre donde se puede estar muy agusto. Por una sola área no puedo calificar mal a un hotel con mucho potencial.
