Lodge at Snowbird

3.0 out of 5.0

The room was very clean and cozy. We stayed in a studio with a pull out bed and I was surprised at how comfortable the pull out was to sleep on. Location was great, used a shuttle to ski over at Alta resort. Free newspapers, coffee, and hot chocolate in the lobby was a plus. Also provided free lockers on ground floor to store ski rentals.

Stayed for a wedding at the cliff lodge nearby. Was within walking distance of everything we needed and the staff was very accomidating

Snowbird is always awesome. We stay here every year for Oktoberfest and will continue to do so. The view from every room is amazing. The staff is helpful and all the restaurants are yummy!!!

We were on our way from Yellowstone to the Bryce and Zion area and needed a place to stay over for a night and a friend suggested the Snowbird/Alta area. We took the advice and couldn't have been happier with the experience from all aspects. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the hotel was great. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and eager to share their love of this little oasis in the mountains. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony with a wonderful view. We had dinner in the dining room and the food was excellent and the dining staff was great.

I recommend booking this hotel separately because this travel company offers a standard room without kitchen area only. The hotel is inflexible to making adjustments to the reservation. Also the package gets you a luxury rental car which is unecessary since the ski pass gets you a free shuttle to and from airport. Finally you do not need to stay on the mountain when you fly out the next morning. Boston Pre flight parking is the worst off site parking because bridge is out.

The hotel and staff were just fine; I have no complaints about that. What bugs me is that I had originally booked a room at the Lodge at Snowbird and when we arrived they said I had booked at the Cliff Lodge. Since it was Oktoberfest, the Lodge at Snowbird was all sold out so we had no option but to stay at the Cliff. This would have been okay if I didn't have family staying at the other hotel. The walk to our hotel from theirs was uphill and inconvenient, especially considering we had to push a stroller with a toddler. We ended up not spending as much time with our family because of this and it put a damper on the whole evening. I wish that I could have been informed of the change before we arrived.

Great atmosphere, nice and cool getaway at the end of summer. Oktoberfest was great!

Loved the kitchenette in room and great views of the mountains. Large flat screen TV and large balconey (shared w/room next door).

Hotel staff was extremely accommodating after airline lost my luggage with most of my ski clothes. They loaned me a ski jacket and ski pants for as long as I needed them. Room was large and comfortable. Not much else to do in Snowbird except ski, which is why you go there. Limited dining options, but enough variety to keep you from getting bored too much.

We skiied. Pull out sofa bed was uncomfortable to sleep on. This was an awesome ski trip. The hotel was great, super staff, rooms ultra clean.

Parking is an absolute nightmare. Valet missing in action. Room was extremely noisy, from the pool below to the knuckleheads next door. It was like being a part of their conversation. A floor full of rooms and they put two occupied rooms side by side. Gorgeous views were the only plus.

We had one day to play before our trade show in Salt Lake City. The Lodge at Snowbird is just 45 minutes from downtown, and a world away. Went for an awesome hike up at Alta, followed by the best steak dinner at the STEAK PIT, located in the base lodge of Snowbird. So peaceful sleeping with the glass doors wide open, listening to the stream and enjoying the cool mountain air. No need for the hum of an air conditioner here!

We liked it so much can't wait to go back

We spent 5 nights at the lodge and were very pleased. Location was the best - 1 minute from Snowbird Center. Staff was very helpful, hotel was clean and cozy. Outside hot tub was priceless after whole day snowboarding. Free wine tasting before we left added to overall good experience at the lodge.

This is a great place for the bucks. It's not a 5 star and don't expect it to be. The staff was great. I got there early and they found a place for me. No problem in staying past checkout either. I stayed in a studio with a very well equipped kitchen and queen bed. The workout out room was small but sufficient.

We went during the off season, and only saw one or two guests during our entire stay. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. There were a dozen hiking trails to choose from, and the general store was as expensive as we expected it to be. The chairlifts weren't running, and some of the restaurants weren't open during the days we were there (they're open for weekends, we were there at the beginning of the week), which was disappointing, but we ate at a Mexican restaurant at the Cliff Lodge that was wonderful.

The room was large and the view tremendous. Snowbird Central was a 50 foot walk from the hotel. Lockers for equipment came with the room and were on the way to the slopes. I parked in front and never needed my car during the trip. Nice outdoor pool and hottub. Ski conditions were great and I can't remember ever seeing a line. Not really a great place to go if you want a large selection of bars and restaurants.
