Good food, quiet rooms, good option not to have room clean. Located far from central so it became costly. however, once you find the route, it is not too hard to get to place. good for those with cars
Good, but during check in I get the key of a room (308) which was already occupied by anyone else (who was not in the room at that moment) and whose belongings were spread around the room. It was a major fault made by the reception to give me a key of a room already occupied. @Reception Mercure Zwolle, please check and recheck before you deliver a key to a client.
The stay at Zwolle could have been longer as this hotel was perfectly located and had what you would need for a couple of days seeing the area. Very helpful staff along with spacious dining areas make for pleasant dining. Large car park. Rooms clean and comfortable
No fun to have a room where you hear residents in the rooms above go to the bathroom, shower, etc. dinner in the restaurant was ok but the menu limited Breakfast was acceptable. For €100+ for the night had definitely expected better. .
Simple room, clean, quite short bed , good but expensive breakfast 16,50 , friendly staff, diner options limited, all in all a business hotel for a short stay. Location near the freeway, 3 km from city centre, paid parking 3 euro a day.
Good rooms, good service and good breakfast. But the restaurant food is really average (lack of sauce and dressing). It is a good place for business trips but I will not recommend it for tourism. The surrounding is quiet but there is nothing interesting close to the hotel.
I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was quite spacious, nicely decorated and clean. I was glad that a kettle and hospitality tray were provided. The wi-fi worked reliably and I was pleased that the TV offered several BBC channels. The hotel is nicely located in a semi-rural situation on the edge of the city, It is conveniently close to major roads and has a large car park, but is not well served by public transport. The walk to the city centre along a signposted cycle route takes 20-30 minutes. The buffet breakfast included a reasonable selection of hot and cold items. I enjoyed a very tasty bar snack on the night of my arrival. I dined in the restaurant on my second night and the food was very good- especially the pan fried goats cheese starter. Overall I had no complaints and everything met or exceeded my expectations for a hotel in this price bracket.
I stayed here on a business trip with colleagues. The ground floor room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the air con was perfect for the heatwave! If you don't mind not having maid service every day, you get a €5 voucher to spend at the bar or restaurant - excellent green initiative! However I would have liked the tea/coffee to be replenished daily, although the bar were happy to provide extra when asked. Milk wasn't provided in the room, only coffee whitener- no good for a northern tea-drinking lass! Again the bar staff were happy to provide (only uht whole milk, yuk, but bearable in the short term!) No shortage of herbal tea as an alternative though! The food was amazing, the breakfast buffet was plentiful, lots of variety. I ate I the hotel restaurant a couple of evenings, and was not disappointed by variety or quality. The mustard soup was delicious, I've never had that before! The staff bent over backwards to help and were really friendly - reception, restaurant and bar. Thanks for a comfortable stay!
An excellent hotel with a good restaurant and a quiet location just off the motorway. This was marred only by finding that, having booked dinner for 7pm, a large group of some 70+ people was booked in at the same time. We had discussed a suitable time for dinner with the receptionist but this booking was not mentioned to us. However, a member of the bar staff suggested that we might like to eat there (from the restaurant menu) and offer we gladly accepted and enjoyed a very good meal. Towards the end of this, a substantial number of guests from the party then descended on the bar wanting to watch the football on the TV, effectively driving ourselves and another guest out. The same experience occurred at breakfast as we arrived as the large group was beginning to leave. We found the only available table, and had to wait whilst the buffet was (partially) replenished by two hard-working staff who had been totally overwhelmed by the group. If a hotel is going to accept coach parties, it should ensure that it is adequately staffed to cope and take steps to segregate the two groups in separate rooms so that this type of hassle doesn't inconvenience regular guests. If I were to book here again, I would make sure to ask if any groups had also been booked on the same day.
Great place and location. Food good but the only criticism is that there could be more vegetarian options on the menu. Clean, good well lit parking. Free coffee and apples. Close shopping and fuel. Easy to book.
