Days Inn Salina1.5 out of 5.0

We have made this Days Inn location our home away from home as we make frequent trips to Salina to visit my elderly mother. We have tried several other motels most of which are considerably more expensive. But the hospitality that we receive from the manager and her staff makes this facility our choice. A complete breakfast is included as is a computer desktop for guests in the lobby. The towels and linens always feel new as they are freshly laundered. The room is spacious as there is a desk and chair along with a recliner in the room we always stay in. The TV in the room carries all the cable channels so you will not miss any football games. The room a/c unit has the option of selecting the fan so you will have "white noise" to block out any outside noise, if any would occur. With the lower rate you may feel that the facility is lacking. but you will be pleasantly surprised.
Wie stay at the same place every time we go to Salina. The people there are's very friendly and nice you get a great breakfast in the morning. They remember you when you come back ..
The non-specific reservation center representative was incorrect in confirming to me that this property was an interior entry for guest rooms. I asked for this confirmation twice and was assured this was the case. The non-slip mat in the bathtub was nasty and I put it in the wastebasket. It was a mat of fungus and germs.
After cancelling the initial local motel we had booked due to location and condition, we were fortunate to find a king room at this Days Inn. Clean room, comfortable bed. No fridge or microwave, however.
We stayed one night, driving through. Check in was fast and easy, friendly staff. Room was comfortable with clean linens. Adequate number of outlets for charging our toys. Everything worked including wifi. Breakfast bar included hot items - cheese omelettes, biscuits & gravy. Would definitely stay here again.
I had an issue with check in initially, but it was resolved with management the next day. We stayed 2 nights, but unfortunately, our room was not cleaned. No fresh towels, trash was still there etc etc. We have stayed at this particular location a couple of times, so this was kind of a surprise!
The bathtub was not clean. The towels had holes in them. The bathroom light took a long time to brighten up. There were multiple flies buzzing around the room. It was not worth the money. I would spend an extra $20 for a nicer clean room. The staff was nice and the wifi worked well. Those were the only 2 good things about this motel.
Easy check in friendly staff. Handicap room shower area floor did not appear clean and there was mildew around base of wall we did not use the shower because of it. quality control needed for house keepers and training on how to clean tile floors it looked like soap scum on floor, maybe not but that is what it looked like. Breakfast biscuits were hard and dry even the ones in the steamer were bad breakfast at mickey d's for us.
The room had once been a smoking room, based on the smell. The WiFi was not available when we were there, but the host was kind and attentive. A decent room and very cheap!
The person that checked us in was very friendly. Gave us good info on where to eat. The room was clean, there was a slight cigarette smell. The price was good, just spent one night and was close to the freeway. Would stay there again if traveling through.
