The room was good overall. The bed was comfortable and the pillows weren't too soft. My only complaint was that the bed was so close to the window that to get out of the bed, I had to climb out over the bottom. Breakfast was good. The WiFi was adequate. The staff was friendly. This will be my place to stay whenever I'm in Salina.
What a great place to stay! The staff were amazing. when we were checking in, my step dad pointed over to the breakfast area and joked that that must be where they serve the steak and lobster. The front desk smiled and said yes sure is! The next morning, we went downstairs for breakfast and it was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had (and we travel alot so we have seen plenty of hotel breakfasts) the sausage patties were actually patties! not thin little slices or links. All of the food was hot and ready to go. The room was good, the only downfall was when you pulled the couch out to make a bed it took up the entire walk space from the bed to the bathroom so if you had to get up in the middle of the night you bumped into that sofa bed. check out was a breeze. Anytime staff saw us they made sure to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. We did not utilize their pool/hot tub or workout center as we got there pretty late and had to head to Topeka the next morning.
We’ve gone to Salina 5 of the last 6 years and have stayed here all of those times. We really like it that the rooms are suites with the extra sofa and at very reasonable rates. The breakfast has always been good & the hotel is clean.
We had a nice room for a quick stop over during a long drive the room was comfortable with a sitting area king size bed and tub shower combo. It did sit next to a highway in the road noise you could hear in the room. There were plenty of selections for breakfast which overall the stay was very good.
Do not stay here. It's really awful. We were here just before the holidays and it has taken a real nose dive in the last few months. What happened to the nice lady who did breakfast the last time? I guess the rude people she had to work with ran her off.
Jennifer Jimenez was the best hotel staff member at the hotel. She know the hotel and the guests along with my family. She made us feel very welcome. Job well done Jennifer. Keep up the great customer service.
Our family has been staying at this hotel several times a year for many years. We come to visit our dad, and this time it was to have our Christmas family gathering. Usually we meet somewhere else, but it was unavailable. Comfort Suites let us, for a small price, use their meeting room ALL DAY for our 28 people. We had a blast, and there was much laughter, talk, and food. We also often take over the lobby or dining area for games or talking. Always, the staff has been great and we appreciate it more than words can express
We have stayed in this hotel numerous times in the past. Stayed there on Dec. 28 and were not as pleased as before. The carpet in our room was not well vacuumed, the furniture tops were not clean, and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. Breakfast was to be served until 9 a,m. We arrived at the breakfast area at 8:15 and there was very little choice remaining. We were told that the breakfast help had quit but that is no excuse for not serving their guests. Items that could have been easily served (coffee, bread for toast, muffins, yogurt, milk) were very limited. Considering these issues, we will be staying at another hotel the next time we are in Salina.
We chose this site after reading reviews and staying elsewhere on previous trips. The suite was nice with the added sofa and chair. All the furnishings were well maintained and clean. There was a microwave, refrigerator and 2 full length mirrors. The bed was king size, rather soft, but okay. There was not much clearance on the left side of the bed which would hinder larger people. The bathroom was clean and maintained. Breakfast was adequate and typical motel fare. Tea and water were available all the time. Pretzels were available in the small computer area just off the breakfast area. We didn't search out exercise or pool space. Our only complaint would be the room being too bright while trying to sleep, but that is personal preference. We would stay here again while in the area.
This hotel seems to be pretty updated. I did not use the pool or fitness center so no comments on those amenities. The lobby was clean and the hot breakfast is what you expect in this price range. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My only issue is that the hotel is so close to the on-ramp of the interstate that you hear every car accelerating to merge on to the interstate. If you are a light sleeper this will be a problem. That is the only reason I didn't provide an excellent rating. Other than the traffic noise, everything was great.
