We stay here for 2 days and maybe we was to optimistic because it is Hilton, but most of the staff , also reseption, has hard for smiling and you feel that you disturb them when you take contact. It is a ok pool on the roof, but if U want cold drinks U most take lift to ground floor and the bar ! The fitnes room is to warm in the morning and no towls. And breakfast is no good. Its 30 min walk to center.
This hotel does not live up to the Hilton name. First of all, it is hard to find. The first time we attempted to flush the toilet in our bathroom, the metal covering on the flusher fell on the floor. We reported it and a new one was installed, but it would not flush completely (you had to flush it several times) and the water in the toilet ran almost constantly. The shower was relatively small and when I used it, there was a large amount of water on the floor outside the shower door. It needed to be resealed or something. Also, there was no bath soap provided, only a bath gel. The front desk did not alert us that the A/C shuts off automatically if you open the balcony door. My husband stepped out on the balcony and for the next day we could not get the A/C to work. I went down to the front desk and they said it was because the balcony door was not shut all the way. It was locked, but not completely shut. Once we corrected that problem, the A/C was fine. The public areas and the elevators are hot and we could not check in early, even though the Hilton App said we could. The staff itself was standoffish and didn't appear to be anxious to help with anything. The hallways to the rooms are very dark and I never felt safe when I was alone either going to or from my room. The iron in the laundry room had been left lying down with water in it, so the iron and the cord used to plug it into the wall was soaking wet. I had to coax my husband out of using the iron for fear of his being electrocuted. The room was in need of upgrading and they could use some additional English-speaking or translated channels in their tv lineup.
The Hotel staff treated us so well that we felt at home. Everything was well organised, clean and undertaken professionally. We enjoyed the room and comfortable bed, as well as the big bathroom. The reception staff was always receptive to all our questions. The prices for the bikes and shuttle are really good and made it easy for us to reach the center. The spa and pool were also quite pleasant. And what I absolutely loved was the breakfast :)!
This was a location choosen for its proximately to the town centre and to use as a base for exploring the region. It wasn't as close to the town centre as we had been lead to believe so even though we are a fit family it was a good 25 min walk so we hired the hotels bikes most nights. It was a great place to explore from and we made good use of our hire car. The surrounding areas/ beaches are beautiful. The hotel didn't really seemed geared up for people staying more than a week. The staff were extraordinarily helpful and good humoured and everywhere was spotless and relaxed. However there was no bar service around the pool and very little other recreational activities - no pool table or table tennis etc. Room service stops at 7 pm and if we wanted a night cap / coffee on our return from a meal the bar shut at 10. 30 pm. There is a type of shop behind reception that has drinks and Ice and snacks where you can buy via the receptionist who is there 24/7. However a very professionally run hotel and we had a lovely time.
Nice rooms, very good breakfast with great coffee and helpful staff. The hotel has a pool on the rooftop, with comfy sunbeds. Didn't love the location though, next time we will probably choose a hotel closer to the old town.
Lovely large room (3 people no problem) with fabulous large floor to ceiling window overlooking the fountains / main entrance. Staff very efficient, all spoke excellent English. Good tips, restaurant guidance (Valentina). The pool is small, and there are coach tours passing through but this did not impact our holiday. Pleasant 15 minute walk into the centre. Loads of coffee shops within 5 minutes walk.
Good location if you have a car. On site parking is free. Less than 2km from old city. Very clean hotel, except that the room smelled of smoke, but when we complained we were upgraded immediately to a suite. Room has fridge, kettle with coffee and tea and a safe. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel has pool. Overall highly recommended.
Lovely hotel. Liked our room very much. Rooftop pool is small but cozy. There were no poolside umbrella and it's very hot in July. Be very carefull There are some supermarkets around. Old city takes 15-20 minutes by walking.
I have stayed with Family in the Lecce Hilton Garden Inn a few times with my Family and although it was crowded by Bus-Groups in the morning at Breakfast-Time, we had pleasant stays here. So we booked for our next Visit in May 2017 about 5 months in advance at the End of 2016. I do admit, it was a non refundable rate. When I then got a very bad Diagnosis from my Doctor that made this Trip impossible and chanceled the reservation in February, almost 3 months in advance of the booked date, the only offer we got was, to come some time later. No (partly) Cash- Refund possible on Goodwill-Basis. We stay(ed) in Hilton arround the World, are HH-Members, but did not get any Goodwill shown by the Management of the Lecce Hilton. "So sad"! and farwell Hilton Garden Inn Lecce.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel as part of a small group. The hotel itself is like a Hilton Garden Inn that you would stay at in the U.S. It is modern and clean, although we thought that the rooms were a little dark. The hotel itself is not near Lecce center so you will need some sort of transportation to get to Lecce. I think that they do provide shuttle serve for a small charge. Service was good. The roof top pool and spa are very nice.
