Room was very basic. Continental breakfast was very limited. 3 cereals, some bread, and a few muffins. The waffle machine seemed to be working, but long line. Coffee was lighter than tea. I just chose not to eat it. The ice machine had standing water in it that was disgusting. Room was fairly clean, and so were beds. most of the stations on the TV were staticky. Cracks in the ceiling. also, I didn't realize that my license wasn't given back to me when I checked in, until AFTER I checked out. No one notified me. I went back in and they had it, along with a stack of other licenses, which i thought odd. Did I pay a lot for the room, no, so I didn't expect a lot. Will i stay there again, no.
Very rude, condescending front desk attendant at check-in. Room as expected for Days Inn, but not for cost (Va Tech grad weekend). Very poor value, and no one should be treated as this badly at check-in.
I didn’t read the reviews when I booked this hotel. Big mistake. We drove up and immediately were apprehensive about staying at this place. Broken windows, dirty exterior, seriously questionable. Then we read the reviews and after reading about all the roaches and filthy conditions of the rooms we drove away and went to another hotel. I had already paid for a room here and they had a no refund policy so I’m out the money, but at least I didn’t get a suitcase full of roaches.
It needs updating although the bathroom area seems to be more updated. We had a king bed but i think the sheets was a little small for the bed to tuck under so you could sleep on them. I stayed here before and breakfast was ok But this time don't even Bother. The coffee was so weak that it was just colored water barely. The front desk manager was very abrupt with us when we ask for a second key and when we called to ask a question he was very abrupt again although he did respond. I didn't take pictures. There is fast food in walking distance Hardees right next door and McDonald's and a shopping center across the street.
Good location, next to I 81 Place was clean, safe, & quiet!
People constantly smoking cigarettes outside my room, the smoke creeps under the door and stinks the room up. Some of the clientele are sketchy at best, and because of this felt a bit unsafe, fine for me but no way would I have my family stay here
I did not like finding that on my first entry into the room the lights did not come on. I was left in the dark until management corrected the issue.
Wouldn't stay here again! since the sewage system backed up and was flowing onto the parking lot.
I didn't have high expectations considering I was paying $65+tax for the night. Got to my room around 1130 pm and was very hot and muggy since the AC hadn't been running all day. There was an overwhelming odor that I would compare to week old dried sweat.
Property was dirty and outdated. The first room I was given had not been cleaned. The second room the toilet was broken
This hotel has had some attempts at modernization, but still feels a little tired. Not a great area of town, but this is more than adequate for what it costs.
decent hotel for a nights stop. Clean room, the bed could have been better.
Although I had somewhat low expectations at first sight, as the rooms have to be entered from the outside, I was a little disappointed at the neglect in parts of the facility. The "fitness center" is a small, dingy room the size of a closet where none of the machines worked after having to plug in myself. The bed was comfortable, but the shower head was nearly broken and hard to operate. The carpet and bathroom could have been cleaned better as well.
