NH Salamanca Palacio de Castellanos

We stayed there for 3 days in March 2017. The rooms were well appointed and quiet. It is a short distance from all the city attractions. There is a hill you must walk up to get to the shopping streets but not a difficult task. We will stay here again if we return to Salamanca.

We stayed only for 1 night while on our way to Madrid. There's not much to see in the small town but very neat and clean! Beautiful location and very friendly staff. One of the staff took our car to park at the back of the hotel. We had dinner at a close by restaurant. Very nice! We will recommend this hotel to all our friends.

Great locaion and overall good value however horrendous parking facility. Towels do not match the quality of the hotel and difficulty in running the bath due to the glass screen only moving one way.Shower head in non flexible and it should be possible to alter the angle.

Nicely decorated, friendly staff, perfectly situated in the very centre, easy to reach. Our groundfloor room a little noisy. Car was parked for us at a rate of aprox. 18€/day. Didn't try the restaurant. We had a simple but obviously much cheaper breakfast next door.

We are spending a very agreeable four days at this hotel. On the plus side, a superior deluxe room is spacious with comfortable beds and resting area. The view from our window of the Monasterio de San Esteban is spectacular. The hotel is centrally located, close to all the sights in Salamanca. Lobby space is huge. The negatives for us were that the parking space was difficult to get into without scraping the car. We initially had requested a junior suite. These were on the backside of the hotel, extremely uncomfortable, with many steps (junior suites are duplexes). We arrived on a Sunday with no one to help with our luggage. Staff was very accommodating and exchanged our room for a deluxe double room, which we were told was the same rate as our junior suite - hard to believe but hard to argue. Altogether, it has been positive and we would recommend this hotel, especially if you are young and travel light (which we don't).

The hotel, itself is in a great central location, a short walk from all the main sights. But my room - a single on the third floor - was really small (12sqm), basic and very noisy. There was a noise from an extractor fan or other industrial machinery (on the roof?) going the whole night, plus traffic noise....I had the worst night's sleep. Also the room fridge didn't work, someone came and said they fixed it but didn't. The car park is tiny and very difficult to manoeuvre. I would give it a 3 for the location only, but get a double room.

Salamanca Palacio de Castellanos was a jewel box of a hotel that was a surprise and delight in which to stay. I was in Salamanca for a conference and the hotel had great WiFi and made a real effort to make me feel welcome and at home.

We picked this hotel for its central location and were not disappointed. It's a short walk to all the main sights and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was splendid. A really good quality selection. Secure parking - a must for us - was available on site at extra cost. The restaurant wasn't working when we stayed, but with so many great restaurants nearby it wasn't a problem. Only one negative really - the wi-fi was really poor. I gave up trying to pick up my e-mails it was so slow.

Located just at the edge of the historic city center, this hotel is easily accessible by car and close to all the main touristic sights. I stayed at a room with stunning views from Convento de San Esteban. Excellent choice.

Excellent value for money, considering it is 3 minutes away on foot from the Plaza Mayor. Big rooms, renovated fairly recently, and friendly staff. I got a room for about 57€ which is a total steal. Will definitely come back.
