I have never stayed at the TL Saint John, it is a nice hotel. I celebrated my 30th bday out on the town and stayed there. During check in the staff were great and friendly, in the moring the front desk agent didnt seem all that interested in being there, she was not as friendly but not rude either. Breakfast was geat and the hotel was clean and quiet.
The man who checked us in was super friendly and took his time to explain the amenities included. Our room was spotless and well appointed including a mini fridge and microwave. Beds comfortable and breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel. We will be back!
Very friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. Located close to some shopping, restaurants and the highway as well as Reversing Falls. Rooms and beds could use some updating but comfortable enough for a few days.
Traveling with a dog sometimes is not always easy, but the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Your staff is exceptional! Not only was everyone friendly, they were professional and engaging. It was because of previous reviews of the staff that we elected to stay here as opposed to where we have stayed for the last 5 years. The stay was very nice, clean and comfortable. The bed and linens are great. We truly appreciate the recycle bin, the shampoo/conditioner dispensers and the nicer quality bathroom fixtures. See you next September!
Wow. We messed up on our reservation, and the hotel was full. The front desk staff smoothed over our mistake, and booked us accommodation at another hotel. They offered fresh pizza, and to ensure our bad reservation would be cancelled. They kept the atmosphere light and entertaining while we waited for accommodation elsewhere. Kudos and many thanks!
On arrival the front desk was very professional , polite . The rooms very very clean and the stay was pleasent . The overall appearance of the hotel was excellent the property was very clean and appealing.
The staff was friendly. The internet was horrible. I could not even go to a link from email. Room was nice. Breakfast was good. Pancakes! The shampoo and conditioner came out of a dispenser. Which was hard to use. The lobby was too plain. And yes ask for a ground floor room so you can park out side your door. Otherwise it's where ever you can find one
When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and very helpful. When we checked out the next morning the lady sitting at the front desk was the opposite, not very helpful and not customer oriented. She was on the computer and ignored us. When we asked her some questions she very reluctantly answered our questions using one of the free travel booklet she took from the rack located next to the entry door. She was very short in answering our questions and was definitively annoyed to be bothered. She never offered to give us the free booklet and instead placed it back in the shelf! She was more interested sitting comfortably on the big black armchair. Regarding breakfast a dirty mop was stored against the wall next to the lady playing with her computer. Two moldy oranges were located on the counter next to the unappetizing fruit bowl with flies buzzing around. ( put me off eating any fruit) the chilled yogurt station was empty. The sausages were good and tasty. The flat ( frozen product) egg omelet were average. Poor quality bagels and no butter offered! Only margarine. Coffee was average. I noticed that the unwelcoming lady at the front desk came once to replenish the yogurt station but did not make any effort to remove the bad oranges or remove the dirty mop. The bed was comfortable but the rooms looked old and could used some updating. The bathroom and bedroom did not look very clean.
The room was fine, the climate control worked, and all the facilities were functional. No breakfast was included, and there was no swimming pool. We got into the room, it was filled with mosquitos. Dozens of them. We spent 45 minutes killing mosquitos. Suprising considering I paid more than $180 for a basic room. The toilet was not properly attached to the ground, it leaked around the bottom. Staff were apologetic, and since we stayed only one night, they said they would fix it for the next person. No offer was made to compensate for the inconveniences. There were a lot of rules as well, about dogs. Despite being "dog friendly" they had a whole list of rules, which if violated, would result in a $200 penalty. i.e. you couldn't get any dog hairs on the bed. This was despite paying for a "pet cleaning fee". Compare this to a [Quality Suites] hotel I'm staying at now in Quebec City: For the exact same price, I have a 2 bedroom suite, with kitchen/bar, 2 televisions, swimming pool, full continental breakfast, and dual climate controls. I guess each city has different pricing, so you can't compare.
What a lovely experience. People first. The staff was amazing. The welcoming atmosphere really stands out. You arrive as a stranger but leave with a sense of neighbor. Enough cannot be said for all of the front desk folks. Housekeeping was just as congenial and attentive. King Suite 120 was spotless. Nicely furnished, large and well lite. Beds were comfortable. Linens fresh, thick new and plentiful bath towels. The bath was impeccably clean. The grounds were well kept. Perfect for pets with quick in/out and plenty of green space. The hotel certainly made out first trip to New Brunswick memorable.
