The Travelodge Suites in Saint John, NB, Canada is a good choice for anyone who is looking for a pleasant stay in the area. It is conveniently located off the main highway. This is my 2nd time rooming here; I was here last year. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Lobby and reception area are large; the morning breakfast is right off to the right. Hotel rooms are comfy, no matter which side of the building. This accommodation is also dog-friendly. Price to stay here is very reasonable also.
I arrived at Travelodge to discover that Priceline/Booking.com had sent me a confirmation of my reservation but had failed to alert the hotel. Egads! The hotel was full, and so, the helpful Travelodge staff discovered, were alternative hotels. Double egads! The staff made a lot of phone calls, including to Priceline and Booking, and then, thank heavens, a cancelation came in. I was very impressed with how professional the staff were in coping with this emergency, which was not at all their fault. I will not be booking hotels through Priceline again The suite I eventually got into was very pleasant indeed: spacious, comfortable, and everything I would like it to be. The breakfast that was included was not special, but I was more than satisfied with Travelodge-Saint John.
Located on the west side of the city off the main Trans Canada Highway. The 3-storey building with the Breakfast room situated in the open area main lobby of the hotel. Adequate parking at the front and rear of the lodge. We stayed on the 3rd floor suite - King size bed with another sofa-bed available in the living room area. Clean comfortable and quiet.
Our stay was very good! I was surprised when I walked into the room at how big and comfortable it was. It had a separate living area with a couch and it had a King sized bed; I had never stayed in such a big hotel room in my life! The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the amenities needed, even a kitchenette. We stayed there before our drive back to Toronto, so it was worth it as it gave us some much needed rest. We were in the lower rooms that we could access from the street and that was also a plus as we could park the car right in front of the door. The only down side was that the front desk clerk said we had access to coffee or juice all day and the juice machine was not working the afternoon that we got there and the breakfast was not too plentiful as it had been in other hotels in New Brunswick, but it was enough for me as I am not a big eater. But overall, I would recommend the hotel, I think the value for the money is good. It was a bit on the expensive side, but we got a very nice accommodation.
Room was nice and big (and clean), Staff was friendly and courteous..Price was low compared to others in the area. Nice late checkout time so no rushing to get out Only 2 small complaints (which is why a 4 instead of a 5) I couldn't check in till 3. After a long drive it would have been nice to get in the room sooner. TV's didn't ork but they went good for me and discounted my room to make up fotr it
We spent one night here. The desk clerk was lovely and made us feel welcomed. The reception/breakfast area looked pleasant, but very dark - not enough lighting. There were teenagers out in the back parking lot after 10pm making a lot of noise - I think there was some sort of team staying here. The bed was comfortable, which is turning out to be a very important issue as I get older. When we left in the morning the breakfast area was packed, the tables were full and people waiting in line for food. Lucky for us there was a Starbucks almost across the street. Not the best experience, but we got the room at a good price. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.
My husband and I booked a room here last minute on our roadtrip from Nova Scotia back home to Ontario. It was an unexpected but very welcome delight! Incredibly welcoming, helpful and kind staff, lovely, clean and comfortable rooms and a hot breakfast that's included. What more could you ask for?! Definitely getting a lot for your money here. Well done to all the staff for making this such a great experience.
My wife and our dog stayed here May 23 and 24. As we were on the first floor we loved the back door access to parking and the area to walk our dog. Used this hotel to visit caves in St Martins and Fundy trail. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I recently needed assistance in finding lodging, when I realized I had booked a reservation in a St. Johns, NF hotel instead of St. John NB. Troy went above and beyond to help me cancel the incorrect one, and to find a room nearby, as this Travelodge was sold out. His willingness to make phone calls on our behalf saved us a great deal of time and trouble - it is clear that Troy's efficient, courteous service makes this hotel a place we will want to return to!
