Super 8 Sacramento Airport

2.0 out of 5.0

Room cleaning staff did an excellent job. Upon checkout, no provision, nor option was provided to receive a paper copy of receipt. Also no guarantee that I would receive it in an email, which after 3 days I have not received. Also, no mention of receiving a receipt by email was indicated by either the facilitating company, Super 8, or the desk personnel. Pricing (room rate) was good.

Spent the night to catch an early flight out of Sacramento. Walls must be super thin as we could hear the people in the next door room and those walking outside in the hall. The price was plenty cheap so I guess it is true that you get what you pay for.

The hotel parking lot was well lit and had plenty of space. Check in took awhile and was probably the least favorite of our stay, but it was still ok. The rooms were clean and simple. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, which was much appreciated! An airport shuttle is offered at a cost of $5/person. We didn't utilize the continental breakfast. Overall, for the price, it's a great hotel!

They didn't have our reservation. Had to go somewhere else.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a perfect size and comfortable.

Reasonable dining in walking distance. Room was clean.

Room in need of repairs. Closet was painted poorly, shower ceiling was peeling paint. Room smelled odd. Like old cigarettes.

Hotel was moderately priced, hotel rooms are not updated and smell of cigarette smell was obvious even though room was a non smoking room. My son has some insect bites that looking closer at them look like bed bug bites. Actually checked out early.

The sheets and pillows as well as all towels had hairs in it. Some of them were burned by cigarettes.

The shower did not have any water pressure. Your average water fountain has more water pressure than the shower at this hotel. The smoke alarms were removed, so a safety hazard.

Shuttle should be made more convenient, being full with 5 guests shouldn't be a problem.

The air conditioner was incredibly loud. Lots of noise in the hotel late at night.

The front desk was a very nice gentleman but that was the only positive. The entire hotel stunk and there was throw up splatter on our wall in our room, the AC didn't work and the free breakfast was pitiful. Luckily there's a Black Bear Diner right next door. Would not stay here again.

Perfectly met.my need for rest, safety , comfort , and location. Breakfast was ok too .

There was hair in the bed, fingerprints on mirrors and surfaces, spilled drinks on wall, and stains everywhere

Great room . There was a restaurant nearby and everything was perfect! The staff were nice and helpful. The bed sheets were gross! There were tiny hair on the bed sheets and pillow case. Seemed kind of unsanitary but the price wasn't so bad.

I stay here from time to time the night before flying out of SMF. It's clean enough and comfortable enough for a quick one night stay but that's about it. Employees are super friendly. The hotel is nice enough to start breakfast at 4AM for the people who have early flights. However "breakfast" consists of a package of frozen waffles, toast and some of the most terrible hotel coffee I have ever had. It's a decent location close to the highway with a Black Bear Diner and a Chevron Station sharing the same parking lot. The hotel can be hard to find as the sign is not visible from the highway or the main road. You have to drive into the Black Bear Diner lot to see the Super 8 sign. Otherwise, it's a Super 8. The first thing you see when you step into the hotel is one of those bullet proof payment windows. Happily, this window was not in use. It may just be Super * standard equipment that gets installed in every hotel. I could clearly hear the man in the room next to me snoring. I heard every step and toilet flush from the room above me. I really only stay here in situations where I'm checking in at 10PM and checking out at 4AM.

This is the 4th time I've stayed there. It's convenient for me. Right off the 80 & 5 freeways, gad stations & a BK across the street and a Black Bear Diner next door. Yum! And the prices on the rooms are good.

Unfortunately, this hotel didn't meet expectations. Simply, I was booked into a room which had not been cleaned. I checked in around midnight and was given a room in which the TV was on, cups of water were all around, and a used towel was thrown on the couch. I was worried that the room was in use, and that the occupants had gone to get ice. The second room they gave me had issues with opening the door. Instead of pushing down on the door handle, one had to pull up. The desk clerk was helpful enough clarifying that for me, but perhaps management should fix that issue? Last of all, I'd requested a shuttle to the airport at 10 AM. The next morning, the new desk clerk had no record of that and had to call for a shuttle from a neighboring hotel to get me to the airport on time.

First off, I've stayed here MANY times. IF YOU TAKE THE SHUTTLE TO THE AIRPORT GO WAY AHEAD OF TIME. They've been terrible with arriving on time the past few trips. It's not the most fancy hotel, but it's location and proximity to food makes it great for short trips. Corina, she other than a dark haired gentleman we had the morning we checked out are the only two good employees we encountered. The other two women weren't at all helpful. The hotel is clean. Not too fancy. Located next to a restaurant with amazing food, burger King and a chevron so you don't need to wander far. They have a small selection for breakfast, but it's free. Can't complain.
