We arrived early and was told our room was not available. We told the clerk we would be back at 1030pm and was advised they would make a note in our reservation. At 1045pm, we arrived and was told our room was not available anymore. The site says they allow check in until 1200am. This is not true. They overbook and it is first come first serve. The very nice clerk contacted Orbitz and she told them the situation and Orbitz rebooked another room for us a few miles away. We finally were able to get to bed around 1240am. I had booked two rooms here, one this week and another the next, now we are unsure about our stay next week. The hotel does not allow cancellations, but will sell your room without warning. Avoid this place at all costs.

Upon our arrival, we were placed in a room that was filthy. We were moved to another room that was cleaner--but still not clean by basic standards--but acceptable-ish; and we had to ask for the kitchen items, blow dryer, and remote for the TV---which resulted in multiple trips up and down the stairs. The electric outlet in the bathroom did not work--and the bathtub had to be wiped out before we used it (basic cleaning does not seem to happen here). There was animal hair on the carpet and chairs. Extended stay appears to rent out some of their units to impoverished, homeless-appearing people. Although I think this is a noble thing to do----there need to be better standards overall about how this is handled---and how the facilities are maintained. I super-resent what I paid for this room---and will never stay at an Extended Stay again.

My dislike was I didn't get my room right away when I had reserve it, but beside all that I like the staff there they was kindly helping me to get my service .

The room & facility was clean & modern for the price but the room has a full kitchen with nothing in it. No plates, silverware, pans, pots, not even cups?!? Kinda lame since they market the hell out of their rooms having kitchens.

This is one of the dumpiest Extended Stay hotels I have visited. Office is understaffed....many of the rooms have residual cigarette smoke. Snacks for breakfast & there is no fitness room (even tho they advertise they have one.) Price is right....but so what.

Towels and sheets not clean. Looked used and refolded and put on the towel rack. Staff was nice and helpful. Didn't feel like a safe neighborhood but was only 2 min from the mall.

Everything was as expected except they couldn't provide any kit hen essentials. Which is the whole reason I choose it versus another hotel. No excuse just they didn't have enough for me on any of the 3 nights I was there! I guess my money isn't as good as the other occupants

nice. clean. very attentive staff. and comfortable bed. however the bathtub and toilet both seemed on tbr verge of being backed up. overall great hotel.

Pleasant,Nicole was very accommodating. Staff was friendly and room was clean

Decent place to stay, but would like to see that the company makes the effort to train their front desk staff on how best to handle customers. I had to wait for 45 minutes to get a room key, while the staff was arguing to have a guy with issues before me to get checked in. The whole time, the staff didn't even recognize me and offer to help me, that was insulting. As I was checking in he wanted a $100 deposit for incidental even though he has my credit card number....

This was my second visit at extended stay. I believe they are under staffed and some employees under trained. I would like to complement Nicole, for being extremely helpful and courteous despite her lack of help from other staff.

WHen we arrived to check in they said they didn't have any Non smoking rooms available though we had requested that. We were in town for the California Allstate Honor choir. After 3 hours in the room we had headaches and my sons throat was burning from the smell so we requested another room. They did move us into another room, we had to share a bed, but the room had not been cleaned. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty. The beds were made and fresh and comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen still had "leftovers". The staff were understanding and helpful and kind. It did seem that most of the people staying there were not vacationers but displaced people without other accommodations. The door to our room did not seal and so we heard traffic from outside all the time. I would not recommend this hotel.

clean facilities, nothing fancy but good value for price. need a car to get around, not good pedestrian routes around hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were large and clean. Air conditioner worked great.

It was an average room....clean...somewhat musty smelling.....not bad, not great....just eh..... Convenient location....mall within walking distance, very close to freeway. Staff was VERY kind....good "Grab and Go" breakfast....granola bars, fruit, hot cereal mix....

It was just what it claims to be as a 2 star hotel and overall it met my needs. My room happened to be on the freeway side so if you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a room off the freeway.

Everything was alright except the noises from rooms upstairs and next door... couldn't sleep!

This was great, it is right next door to where my meetings are held. Easy check in the only thing was there was not enough sugar and creamer. The room was perfect and very clean. The Bed was soo comfortable,Thanks I will stay here in the future.

Completed my reading assignment.

Lily, we are sorry we failed to provide you the clean and comfortable room that you deserved. I have shared your comments with my housekeeping staff so this does not happen again. Since our rooms are designed for guests staying multiple nights desiring home-like living, kitchenware and hairdryer are available at the front desk rather than leaving them in the room. I encourage you to try us again in the near future, as I am confident you will enjoy a better stay. Sincerely, General Manager

We are pleased to see you enjoyed your stay at Extended Stay America Sacramento - Arden Way. However, we regret that you were not pleased with our dishware policy. To ensure cleanliness of kitchenware upon check-in, brand standards require us to make these items available at the front desk rather than leaving them in the suites, and our team gladly delivers them to your suite. It was our pleasure accommodating you, and we hope to see you again! Sincerely, General Manager
