Staff is good and accomodating. Parking is quite small.

I love that is close to the airport, close to the stores. They have the friendliest and helpfull staff and clean and cozy room and good parking.. I will recommended to others..

Great value for the money! Rooms are recently renovated and have microwaves. There is a huge menu for in room service (I think delivered from a local restaurant)Breakfast: pastries, fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast bars, coffee, tea, cocoa and orange juice. Great location and we could walk to where we needed to go. Included parking is the best part! Front desk staff was very nice and let us leave the car there for a couple of hours after check out. The only con is that if your neighbors are noisy , you will hear them as well as people walking by. P.S. Check out great coffee shop Craftsman and Wolves just around the corner

The room was clean and big enough. But the parking lots were... so small end hard to park...

Had a good time for what it was for. It was located close to where we had to do business.

Basic accommodation. No air conditioning, lots of road noise all night with the window open. Room smelled damp and old...

If you are there to see the city and don't need fancy amenities, it's great.

I stayed here when I went to SF to run the marathon. The hotel is in a good area of town and the room was comfortable for me to relax in after the race. There is free parking at the hotel which came in very useful for me.

The hotel is a great value. Friendly staff, free parking, close to public transportation, walkable to Ghirardelli Square, and in a safe section of the city. The room was dated and could use new carpeting. But it was impeccably clean and the bathroom looks like it was recently remodeled. TV and internet service were both excellent. Check-in And check- out were swift and pleasant.

Friendly staff, large room, convenient to lots of eateries, as well as other businesses. Great neighborhood, nice for walking to everything. They even let us leave our car there after checkout so we could go eat. Around the corner from Harris Steak restaurant and House of Prime Rib. Would definitely stay there again.

Reasonably priced place for San Francisco. Hotel staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Bed was a little uncomfortable and the carpet on the outdoor stairs was peeling off and is a potential tripping hazard. Close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. $10 cab ride to the wharf or a 30 minute walk, which is downhill most of the way but uphill coming back. I'd stay here again because of the price, free parking and convenience. Rooms were spacious for San Francisco standards.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean, very good Location, Walgreens, Cable Car Station, Starbucks in 3min Walking distance

Clean place with friendly staff. Relatively affordable. If you visit san Francisco, you're not going to want to spend much of your time in your hotel room. You just need s clean place to stay, and that's what this place is.

great place to stay and it is close to everything you want to do! Stafff was great!

Simple, clean and comfortable. Large beds and huge counter space. Close to many good coffee shops and very friendly staff. The elevators were nice for my elderly mother. The free parking was a huge convenience. Thee was coffee also available in the room or lobby.

Can walk to all famous sights or transportation Good Good zGood

Free parking and good service. I am disappointed that I order two Queen beds but they only gave me one and a children bed!

This hotel is in a great spot, close to many tourist spots in San Francisco. That is its one selling point, as it is otherwise drab, unclean (long black hair in the bathtub drain!), and pricey for what you get ($200+ per night). But it is in a good location, in a cool old Russian Hill neighborhood.

This was a great little motel. Don't expect anything overly fancy. This place offers (and excels at) the basics, plus the rates are extremely reasonable for a city like San Francisco. Right off the bat, the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready, but the desk attendant allowed us to park our car in the garage (FREE parking!). She sent us out with a city map that included transit lines, plus she marked the places we would want to visit and the parts of town we should avoid. The hotel is within short walking distance of a bus stop and a cable car stop, plus there were lots of good food and drink choices within walking distance. There is also a letterbox on the corner (a big deal for a postcard sender like me!). We had room 229, which was huge, clean, and quiet. The room had a king-size bed, a refrigerator/freezer, and a microwave. There was also free (and fast) wifi. The hotel offered a small assortment of fruit, granola bars, and yogurt for breakfast - so, nothing fancy. There are a few yummy breakfast places on Polk Street (try Crave or Royal Grounds), so no big deal. Overall, we had a great stay. I would definitely return to the Castle Inn next time we're in San Francisco.
