Loved everything about this property! They are under construction for additional renovating so that's why I didn't put 5 stars for property as the dumpster is hanging out outside. Our bedroom was updated, bathroom was older but updated fixtures, very clean and well kept. We will definitely stay here again as it's within walking distance to all the main attractions Royal Oak has to offer. Both staff members we encountered were super nice and helpful.

Highly recommend. Very well run. Very clean. Love the fun outdoor activity area…and free bike usage. Super well done

A little rough to call this motel a hotel

The property was average but is far better than the shady motel it use to be. That said, I'm a non-smoker and could still smell the lingering scent of cigarettes in my room. Again, not a negative experience and was much more affordable / reasonable for the area.

If you like vintage remodeled, this is the place for you. Very cute and you can tell the owners care about the place. Its an older property, but nicely redone. We were there in the wintertime, so we didn’t get to see the nice yard. But still great.

The rooms are charming, the beds are very comfy, the sheets are great, the staff are wonderful, and the amenities (great coffee in the rooms) mostly great - with the sole exception of the wi-fi. I've stayed here often in many different rooms in different locations around the Hotel, and the wi-fi is consistently weak. At peak times it's basically unusable, forcing me to use my hot spot instead. In this day and age, it's really not acceptable not to provide decent (if not spectacular) wi-fi for these prices. This is not Motel 6, after all.

This is a great find. Walkable to downtown, amazing staff that genuinely strive to make your stay great. Amazing hospitality and a cool vibe. It's an old building but that is the core of its charm. It requires constant maintenance so you're going to see chipped paint, some cracks in the concrete. But it's clean and has fab, funky, retro details. It reminds me of a cool old Florida beachside motel. Can't say enough good things about this place. There's always something going on in Royal Oak, and the safe, plentiful parking and not having to secure a DD is enough to book a night here.

the room was very clean, very comfortable bed, looked great. very friendly staff. very helpful

The entertainment suite is great for bringing down a group of friends for a night in the city

Charming. Well located. Very friendly. I will stay here again.

A chic and stylish upgrade of an old motel. Some of the infrastructure is a little tired but they've done an excellent job of upgrading the rooms and bathrooms with comfy beds, luxurious shower heads, and chic decor. A very pleasant, nicely priced and comfortable place to stay.

The room was nice but the bathroom door didn’t slide right, a few big stains on the carpet and there was a lot of dust.

This is a motel style and no restaurant on site. Got a voucher for breakfast at nearby restaurant and no mini fridge in room. Overpriced for what is offered. Staff were very nice though.
