After spending four nights at the William IV, we have a few positive points and several disappointments to express: + underground / overground / bus station near the hotel + large room, bathroom and a small, nice balcony -- sound-proofing more than debatable since we could listen to the conversations of other rooms -- room service could largely be better: dustbin not emptied, bed not made depending on when we left, only the towels were changed -- impression that the room wasn't really finished: a piece of the tap was missing, light bulbs were broken and not changed, stains on the carpet, general feeling of not finished -- no safe, we had to leave our belongings in the open -- no code on the rooms floor after the second day, anyone with the building code could come in / our room door was also open a whole day while we locked it when we left -- no breakfast offered while it was clearly stated in the reservation that it was counted in the price / we got no warning of any kind -- parties were also announced at reservation but due to work in the building, there weren't any / no warning or explanation either -- check-out by just giving back the key to the cleaning lady / the manager wasn't there, a Monday at 10am In summary, we wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a place to stay while in London. Quality-price ratio is clearly not satisfying.

This hotel was booked for a visit to London with 5 couples/friends and what a shock it was when we turned. We paid £115 per couple for each room despite seeing signs on out arrival advertising £40 per room! Only one room was ready when we turned up to book in but we are easy going people so all dropped our bags into one room and agreed for the remaining keys to be left in the room for us on our return. We were extremely disappointed to be told that the pub was undergoing renovation so there was nowhere on site to relax and have a pint after the 4 hour journey. But that was not the worst surprise.... we were then told that we would be given a 'packed breakfast' and as you will see from the photos, it consisted of a banana, muffin, Alpen bar and carton drink from Asda, not what I was expecting from a bed and breakfast I can tell you. This wasn't the end to our disappointment. On arriving back from the evening out, we find out what our room is like for the first time and things go from bad to worse. There was mold in the shower, dirty windows, cobwebs, marks and scuffs on the walls and to top it all the fan which we really needed as it was sweltering was broken so we had a very sticky night. In the morning, I would have liked to make a cup of tea to go with my muffin but disappointment strikes again, no tea. I probably should have expected this! Anyway, all in all I feel we were taken advantage of with the extortionate price for a second class room and definitely second class services as the owner/manager wasn't even about to check us out, only the cleaner! Avoid like the plague, there must be better value places to stay!

The Wifi doesnt work in room 1. Hotel is so hot that you cannot sleep. The staff could not give us a fan to cool off the room. The bathroom windows were permanently locked, so no air flow could move thru. The staff only works 6hrs per day. My luggage was lost and delivered late, and the staff was not there to receive it until late. The airline almost did not wait for them. The breakfast box of 1 banana, 1 warm drink box, 1 diet nutrigrain bar was not a complimentary continental breakfast advertised. Breakfast was delivered the night before. Neighbors are loud. Good points: Room 1 had a queen sized bed and bunk beds and a couch.

Couldn't rate any lower. Doesn't look anything like the pictures inside or out. The place is a shambles, the rooms are dirty, badly maintained light fittings are missing from the wall, there has been a party ALL night below and we haven't slept at all, extortionately priced- £180 per room, I would expect to pay a maximum of £50 a fair price, we didn't feel comfortable leaving any of our valuables in the room and the 'breakfast box' a carton of juice from Asda a Alpen bar and a banana. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Only left a one star as I can't rate any lower. Trust me it's not worthy of that star! We stayed here last night as we were attending a concert. Upon arrival we were greeted with a poster on the dirt to call a number of we require assistance. As we were calling a lady answered the door who informed us she didn't work there and was doing outside catering and would grab the manager and invited us inside. We entered a dirty, dusty in used bar area which I can only describe as a briefly started but unfinished renovation. It was like a derelict building. We felt very uneasy and uncomfortable. The manager came to see us and was quite happy for us to sign and take us straight to our room. We questioned what was happening with the building and she told us there was no bar or communal areas. She seemed slightly confused as to why would expect there to be. I questioned why this wasn't stated on and she told us to take that up with them. After realising we were unlikely to find anything else available in the area we decided to go to our room and see if it was habitable for the night. We were shown to our room and informed there was no tv remote as if had been stolen previously and that there would be no breakfast as they don't offer it anymore but we would be given a breakfast box each and it would be delivered to our room by 6pm that night. (It consisted of a cereal bar, carton of warm juice and a muffin) needless to say we refused this. After some discussion we decided to make do for the night. I thought maybe a good old cup of tea would calm us down only to realise there was no milk. My mum went down to find a manager and asked for milk and was told she had ordered little cartons of milk a couple of weeks ago but it hadn't arrived. Whilst getting dressed for our concert there was a knock at the door and an abrupt man told us to stop smoking in our room.... we were not smoking and did not appreciate being spoken to like that. After a few minutes another knock at the door... to which a man rudely plonked a handful of milk cartons towards my mums hand and without saying a word, left. Overall it was the worst experience any of us have had in a hotel. The place is filthy and should not be in use, the carpets are disgusting, there are no facilities that a hotel should have and the there is zero customer service. Horrendous 😷

Booked 2 rooms in November as we were going to concert at Wembley last Saturday. Paid £86 each for the rooms Rooms on website do not reflect what you get. Check in was in a building site. Carpets on stairs to rooms dirty stained and worn. We were given rooms 3 and 6. Room 3 should never be a double as it is against the wall. Room 6 attic room with low ceilings. Room 6 shower only had hot water in shower which couldn't be turned down. As previously said breakfast was a cardboard box not what was advertised. If not going to concert would have demanded refund. Do not book here

My wife and I were in a party of 6 staying here for a concert in Wembley stadium...from the outside on the main road this place looks's when you go inside it all goes wrong.! Check in was ok but in the middle of a building site, we were shown to our rooms. Ours was a fairly large double room with a dirty carpet, lights hanging off the walls, holes in walls where various items had obviously been removed. It just felt dirty. No bar or restaurant to feed and water is weary travelers. On returning from Wembley there was a private party in full swing spilling out filling the pavement..,but we,paying guests could not get a drink. We opted for a hot drink from our room, not even a proper t bag..ok if you like peppermint tea tho. Our friends were in a room directly above the party and did not get any sleep at all. In the morning we grouped for our continental breakfast..."didn't you get the e-mail" we were We've stopped doing breakfast (even tho it's still advertised) We were given 6 cardboard boxes instead for "a" breakfast...these contained a warm ASDA Apple drink carton, a sweaty blueberry muffin wrapped in cling film and a squashed nutri-grain bar. This was just not acceptable. There was no manager to complain too. And we had paid £100 per couple for this rubbish. There's no customer service here at all, we were not made to feel welcome. I will never stay in this hole ever again. DISGUSTING......

Stayed here on 17th June for one night and stupidly did not read the trip advisor reviews beforehand. Checkin was at one and got there slightly early so had to wait for room. Eventually given room 12 which looked dirty, cigarette Ash on the bed, dirty smelly crumpled carpets and didn't want to take my shoes off! Then told we had been given the wrong room and moved to No. 15 at the back, tiny room which looks over the garden and generator which was noisy all night, then people in the garden talking loudly. Also had not been told there was no bar or restaurant as advertised. When asked about breakfast which we had been charged for, told they no longer served breakfast and would get a box of fruit etc in morning which never appeared! Worst place I have ever stayed in ... Don't stay here !!!

Good location for Wembley. Room not too bad could with a little tlc, more than one pillow each and some real tea in the room instead of earl grey and mint tea. Bar and ground floor a building site and only open for private functions. Booked for bed and breakfast at £50pp We had 6 in our party and 3 rooms. (£300 in total) Went down at 8.30am for breakfast as stated in the information book in our room. No breakfast........was told its a managment decision not to serve breakfast, and Was given a kids box with an Asda juice box a muffin and a nutragrain bar!!....far from the continental breakfast advertised that we booked and paid for! Our friends were over the bar and kept awake until gone 2am by a private function. I was unable to sleep as it was so hot in the room. Ok staff cant choose the wether but we couldn't find anyone to ask for a fan. Would not recomend or return and will be contacting managment company to make a formal complaint....thats if i can find who i need to email.

I live locally, and had my pensioner parents from America stay for the week they visited me. I checked in with them and the woman on reception was rude and unhelpful. We were brought to the room on the second floor (not good for my pensioner parents, especially having to carry suitcases). When we got to the room it smelled as if someone smoked many cigarettes with the window and door closed. The reception woman dismissed this and said we were wrong. She said my parents could not have another room. I had to buy them scented candles to make the smell bearable. I asked the woman on reception if I could speak to the manager, but she told me that would not be possible. I asked her why, but she just told me this was not possible!! My parents were stunned by the breakfast. Half of the days they were there they were unable to get coffee!! How basic! The last day of their stay they were given a banana and a muffin in a box and again no hot drink! They were told they couldn't even eat it in the breakfast room. The bathroom was tiny and my mother kept hitting her head on the tiny hard-edged shelf. The mattress on the bed was thin, and my parents had a bad night's sleep each night of their stay. My mother said she probably would get her first good night's sleep on the aeroplane back!!! Saturday night gave my elderly parents new problems. There was some kind of party with extremely loud music and talking until 2am. My parents were not told about such an event, and they could not get to sleep until after 2am. I find this unacceptable not to have least been informed of such disruptment. The service is non-existent, and they could not have cared less. My parents were very disappointed and said they could not think of a worse place they could have stayed, especially as the price for their room for 6 nights was over £1000!!!!!!!! Words cannot say how upset I am as their daughter to have them experience such a bad stay. I will be warning all of my friends in the area never to have their friends or family stay in such a shambles of an establishment.
