Hampshire Hotel - Savoy Rotterdam

4.0 out of 5.0

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hampshire Savoy. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a good location. On the negative side, the rooms are generally very small and the bathroom was tiny. We did ask to upgrade to another room which had twin beds and more room. It was much better space wise and bathroom was even larger. It was room 602 so need to be careful in requesting which room. Another negative across at least the Netherlands. Room pricing every night varies greatly. We booked 3 nights through booking.com with an average of $200/night. Turned out the 1st night was close to $400 and the other 2 nights at $100. Rotterdam had a triathlon in town the first night and all rooms sold out. We had a similar experience in Amsterdam with the hotel pricing being at an all-time high because of a global conference being in town. In summary, would say dated and small rooms with limited services at hotel. Comparable to a 2-3 star hotel in U.S. Good location and friendly and helpful staff.

Poor service at front desk. Room with a city view was a view to a brick wall. The hotel was out of extra beds, even when this was promised in the booking. Wrong amount of the room price when we checked in. Double city tax when we checked out. Good breakfast and good cleaning.

Just for a few days in Rotterdam for family visit. Real nice, large room, very quiet, clean, great service. Good choices at breakfast. In the city center, everything you want on walking distance. Highly recommended.

most of the service people are friendly, not all. the park garage system doesn't work. pay at the garage yourself. the location of the hotel is very good. It's not loud. edp systems are available in the ground floor.

Nice hotel, nice location, nice breakfast, bathrooms to small. Friendly staff. Eould like to see faster elevator and bigger. Eould like to see cooffee machine in the rooms and bigger tv but summed up it is a nice hotel.

Located walking distance to the city Center and to Market place. Rooms are clean, we stayed in a family room that sleeps 4 comfortably. Had a nice terrace with the city view. Bathroom is little bit small but functional. There is a minibar fridge in the room but was empty. Breakfast is standard, simple and fresh. Overall nice service. If with the car, can get a discount to park in the garage across the street.

It is a nice, simple, clean hotel located downtown. The staff is friendly. Easy to get to public transportation and to good restaurants. Asking for 200 minimum words for a hotel review is silly. Very silly.

a nice, but older hotel . Rooms are clean and enjoy 'full comfort'. A very nice breakfast buffet with friendly staff in both restaurant and at reception. Parking is located on the other side of the street and subject to a fee.

very near to Kijk-kubus and Nieuwemarkt, easy to take tram from Rotterdam central station to the hotel, room are spacious, neat and clean, with a small fridge. Coffee and tea bags will be filled everday. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is near the centre (market and cubik houses), with a car parking at good price. The staff is very kind. The room is big and clean with the private bathroom. You Can also buy here the ticket for bus/metro and boat Spido.
