the only reason you would stay here is because you have to attend the expo, which is right up the block. the room is cheap but you get what you pay for. The bed is very uncomfortable, the room years outdated. It's just a place to sleep and if you can sleep anywhere then this would be fine but if you need a firm good mattress then go somewhre else. The staff was nice but are not around because they are taking care of the kids. you have to call them to come to the desk. My bed had a huge dried stain on it and like I said, the mattress was the worst I've ever had. I told my wife the next time I say "I just need a bed" to slap me and pay the extra for a decent room.

The room was large and clean. The bed was hard because they do not use bed springs. The back door lock did not work. Overall it was ok for a over night stay.
It was ok for what we were looking for a night a way.and easy to walk to dinner.

Price was great for a quick overnight stay. No extras but it was great for what we needed.
The room was not very clean, the linens were old, yellowed. I had to ask for a shower curtain. The headboard was all smudged with something. Remodeling was completed, but painters tape and overspray was everywhere. The parking was free, was close to my destination and the AC worked well. The staff gave me a shower curtain when I asked.
My husband and I always stay at motel 6 in Rothschild when visiting or working in the area. You can't beat the friendly staff and affordable prices. My niece and friend were staying in Wausau at another hotel that was very dirty and run down. She asked me for a recommendation so she could switch hotels. So i made the reservations for her and she was very pleased with motel 6. Thanks!
The floor in the seating area looked clean but it was sticky. There was no clerk at the front desk at 7:00 AM - the office was dark and the building was unattended.
