This property was very relaxing. What was disappointing was the lack of true cultural Jamaican food. My mouth was watering for ackee and saltfish, breadfruit, and coconut water, to name a few, that were not served here. The website said there were pool tables, so I was looking forward to getting some practice in while on vacation. Again, none were there. It was missing the Jamaican vibe for me. I'm guessing this is the white-washed version for tourists. Better to keep it real.
The steak was like leather. It is not worth the hassle of a reservation

I definitely recommend this hotel I had a wonderful for the 6 days that I stayed. When I tell you the staff is amazing the hotel is super clean and friendly. The food at Montegobay restaurant was the best for me.
Our stay at the RIU Palace couldn't have been better. The food was incredible, the staff was WONDERFUL, and everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and go back!
One of the best vacations I’ve been on. Staff were tentative, fun and prioritized guests. Food was delicious and we had everything we needed on-site…we didn’t even venture to the other resorts. Will recommend and will be back again.
Everything was perfect
The RIU Palace was a fantastic place to stay for our first trip to Jamaica. It was conveniently located about 8 minutes from the airport, so it was nice that it didn’t take forever to reach our hotel after landing at the airport. The rooms were nice but not lavish or luxurious if that’s what you’re looking for. Everything was very clean. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. Of the three RIU properties, this was definitely the nicest and quietest one. The entertainment staff were absolutely one of the best parts about staying here. They make sure that everyone has a fun time, “Entertainment always very good!” The breakfast and lunch buffets were great, but the individual restaurants had better quality food than the dinner buffet. It’s an extra fee, but the dinner on the beach was a magical and memorable experience that was definitely worth the extra charge. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. My husband and I loved it!
Very well kept property. Dining options excellent. Able to visit all 3 resort properties with no problem. Sparke @ The Palace resort is the man.
