great hotel to stay at in rome , very classy and very helpfull staff
Excellent 👌 beautiful hotel, nice staff, excellent service A++++++
staff was very accommodating with our early check in and the room and hotel were amazing in every way.....great location close to everything....can't wait to came back when we can stay longer!!
My wife and I were absolutely amazed by the hotel staff and hospitality! The room was clean and comfortable; just a bit small for us at the time but next time we will definitely stay here again and get a larger room. Great location - within walking distance to famous sites. Still amazed by the hotel staff!
I stayed at The First for 7 nights; I had 2 connecting rooms on the 4th floor. The location is excellent (A+) and the hotel has a new and modern feel to it with very cool art throughout. The rooms were clean and large enough if you don't plan on spending much time in them. The shower is one of the most important components of a room for me and this one passed with a B. The First is certainly not a 5 star hotel, however. The staff is indifferent and poorly trained. I arrived at the hotel earlier than the stated check-in time and the staff was unable/unwilling to make any suggestions or provide any assistance for the period of time between my arrival and check-in. This is something I have never encountered at a 5 star hotel. I was never greeted at the entrance and there was rarely anyone stationed at the door to open it for you. The turn down was performed at 1700 ever day, much too early for a turn down. Requests for ice were so difficult for the staff that I eventually quit asking for it. I paid 129 Euro for transportation to the hotel from the airport and that went well. But, I paid another 129 Euro for transportation from the hotel to the airport and the hotel forgot to put one of my bags on the van so I ended up waiting for it at at the airport for 30 to 45 minutes. Completely unacceptable. The rooftop bar/restaurant is NOT in any way provided as a perk for guests. The staff was indifferent and untrained. In summary, hotel staff/service deserves an F-. I've had better service at a Hilton Garden Inn. I highly suggest that Americans avoid this hotel. I have stayed at the Intercontinental (same price) and the Hassler (more expensive) and both of them are MUCH BETTER alternatives.
This hotel is exactly what we like: very modern, super clean, fabulous beds/linens, true luxury. No gym, pool, or spa, but still great. Fantastic rooftop deck.
