We stayed here for a few nights and it was perfect for exploring Rome. We hit the touristy parts by day and cafés and restaurants by night. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The thing that made this hotel good was the fantastic service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The reason why we gave low scores in some areas is that the room was literally falling apart in some places and very dark. Tiles in the shower were missing, the trimming to the door was falling off, one bed foot was missing and held up by a tourist book. It was also a very dark room. Granted, we selected the economy option, but those are very easy and cheap things to fix. Overall, good location if you value convenience to the Metro, regional trains, busses, and some good restaurants, but would think twice if you wanted something romantic.

Finding a place to stay in Rome for a family of 5 can be challenging. While Sweet Home Hotel Rome is only rated 2 stars it had top notch customer service. It was reviews about this amazing customer service that helped me choose to stay here and we were not disappointed. We were able to get restaurant recommendations from the young gentleman and he helped us with some directions. The older gentleman was also helpful in helping us to identify were we needed to catch our bus. They were warm and welcoming and we felt as though we could ask for advice and help as needed. The hotel is located literally a 2 min walk across the street from the Termini so it's a great location. There are 2 great restaurants on the street one across the street and one next door. Our family of 5 ate there for €34-36. There is also a supermarket 2 mins down the street, some bakeries, and a pizza by the slice place to the left as well. The fast wifi kept our teens happy as well. The building was secure and in a safe area. The beds were hard and did cause hubby & I to wake up with backaches. Also I seen some complaints about noise, we were on the street side and there was some street noise but I enjoyed it. We even opened the window one night to watch a man play his accordion walking down the street! The walls are a bit thin though because we could hear the guy in the room next to us coughing all night, luckily after walking Rome all day you won't mind for long because you'll be fast asleep. Overall we had a great stay and can easily recommend it just know as all hotels go, the few cons ahead of time and plan accordingly. Pros - Great customer service, fast wifi, secure building, great location, large family friendly, great for the budget. Cons - Beds were hard, building has some wear & tear, walls thin.

A perfect place to stay if you're coming into Rome by train or transferring to other parts of Italy. Termini isn't the most attractive part of Rome, but it's convenient and easy to access all of Rome by metro, bus or on foot. There are many restaurants and attractions nearby. The room was small but attractively furnished with a comfortable bed. Street noise is well shielded by windows, but the room walls are thin, Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The staff was warm and helpful.

Located 2.5 blocks from Rome's train and subway station, this location is great for leisure travelers. Many restaurants, shops, even a grocery store are nearby. Front desk staff was very accommodating and quick to give good sightseeing advice. Fair price, too.

The hotel is in a good location and the staff were wonderful. We were in a three person room for two and by European standards the hotel was really large with a fridge and safe. We spent 4 days and from this location we walked everywhere but you can grab public transportation if you prefer. I would recommend this hotel to friends or family, singles or couples. Good find!

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. It is perfectly located. Very helpful and friendly staff. The only complaint is that mattress in our room was old, made loud noises each time you turn. It was annoying.

We were family of 5 stayed in that hotel. Is not easy to find a good hotel in Italy that can fit 5 peoples. The security is the maximum security prison. First you have to buzz the main door then the second door to the hotel rooms, then only you can open your room with your key. Franco and Bruno, his son they are quite helpful. The location is good. Its very close to termini train station, bus station and metro. The room that we had was big enough for 5 of us. They cleaned the room every day. We had good quality wifi, and air-cond. Just outside of the hotel they are plenty of restaurants. The restaurant right across of street name Elettra serve a good pasta.

The staff was very helpful in pointing the way for directions. Very good location. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Super convenient. Everything was walking distance. The staff spoke English and was very helpful in pointing the way and giving tips. Loved it!
