It will be simpler to list what this hotel doesn't have to start with... At breakfast there is no milk for your cereal, no butter for your toast, no tea, just pastries. In the room there are no tea making facilities, no fridge, no soap, the bathroom door was broken and did not close and the toilet seat was also broken. The hotel seems popular with large groups of teenagers or coach sized groups of Chinese tourists and every night was extremely noisey!!!! Locally there isn't a lot, at the bottom of the hill is a macdonalds which comes in handy, a supermarket further up called panorama and a restaurant. To get into the city you will need to get a bus to the metro station and travel from there otherwise it is a 40-50 minute walk to the metro station. This hotel is not one I'd visit again due to the disappointing breakfast and other noisy travellers but was cheap enough and served it's purpose, and most importantly it was clean.

We stayed at the Scheppers Hotel in early November and were completely satisfied with the value for money. The hotel is near Cornelia metro station, just 10 minutes from the Vatican. The rooms are cozy, spacious and clean.Free WiFi. The breakfast is included in the price and is quite a good offer of baked goods and ham, cheese, toast, jam and butter. The staff was helpful and polite.

We booked this hotel for 5 nights and only ended up staying for 1 night. When we arrived the hotel looked nice from the outside and the lobby but as soon as we got to the room that’s when the problems started. The door looked like someone had tried to kick it in, the toilet seat kept on falling off and the bedding had stains on it. So we booked another hotel to stay in. The staff were very nice but I think this hotel needs to have a refurb.

We choose this hotel because of cheap price but specially because it offered B&B. However, we were really disappointed with it. Bread not fresh, toaster was broken, ham and cheese on the same plate(and that was it for your toast), another option for breakfast was cakes or muesli. We had a sandwich once and did not bothered to go anymore and found café 5 minutes drive away. Plus room was freezing on the first day and night we nearly cached a cold! Anything except that two sad aspects was fine.

I stayed here with a friend for 5 nights, we shared a twin room after complaining about the double room we were given on the first night. Reasonable prices but definitely not a 3 star hotel. Don't expect any special dietary requirements to be catered for, I informed them that I need gluten free food for the breakfast that I paid for, they had nothing gluten free available at all. The choices were breads, cakes and 2 kinds of cereals (no guarantee that they were GF foods, so I didn't eat anything). It seems to be a popular hotel for European teenagers on tour. WiFi is horrendous, with only an intermittent connection (I had a 1st floor room) anywhere in the hotel. This was blamed on the constant youths staying there. These youngsters made noise all through the night, so if you're looking for somewhere quiet I'd say go elsewhere. Upon reading a lot of other reviews it seems as though they've had WiFi issues for a few years! Rooms could do with the bathrooms being a bit more "finished" as they look a bit rough. The mattresses were hard and one pillow was all that was on the bed, it was lumpy, limp and uncomfortable. Quite a large range of tv channels for watching at night, and if you fiddle with the tv remote buttons you can figure out how to change the audio to English, which I did, also only ended up watching one of two channels for this very reason! The only plus side for this hotel is that there's a bus stop within walking distance. As long as you don't mind the walk uphill at the end of the day if you haven't hired a car! There was only a McDonald's or a "steak house" style restaurant (Old Wild West: delicious food) nearby for evening meals if you hadn't eaten before returning. Also, after 10pm there are prostitutes hanging around at the bottom of the hill. Not a good look! If you want more choice with less chance of prostitutes, stay somewhere that's closer to town. On the last night Victor at reception was lovely, he gave us coffees and something to eat as we were leaving at 4am to get to Fiumicino airport for our flight home. Despite the fact that the reception staff mostly spoke English, we were not very well understood by them, the standout of those being Victor, who was brilliant!

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Had a small room on the first floor. The beds were terrible, like military beds. The breakfast was sparingly. The Wi-Fi was only available in the reception area. The hotel area was very dirty. We didn't payed that much, but expected cleanliness at all.

Stayed in this hotel at the beginning of November for 4 nights and done exactly what it said on the tin. We spent less on the hotel as we had plans to spend all of our waking hours seeing the sights of Rome, but when we were there, the rooms were comfortable and warm. May not be allowed to have food or drink in the room but all staff were pleasant and it is orth the money that you pay!

We spent 6 nights in the Scheppers Hotel, from 3 till 9th of November. The location was good for us, we needed a quiet area where can take a good rest after whole days of travelling outside of Rome. We got a very nice room on the first floor, our first impression was good till....we have read the rules of the hotel. No option for lunch or dinner, but no food or drink allowed in the room. ( No refrigerator in the room). In the first morning i had to take my medications but had no water, could buy half a liter from the vending machine for 1.20 euro, but i had no change. Just sat outside in the smoking area and asked myself what the hell i'm doing here. Even in the simplest place we ever booked we had a refrigerator and a kettle for the morning coffee. The breakfast was poor, only the coffee was worth to enter the dining room. The towels were not changed at all in 6 days. Being smokers we had to go out to the balcony of the 1st floor or to the entrance for every cigarette. We froze every time, but i hope the management will feel better if i tell i got a cold and arrived home sick like hell. Far away from home that was the last thing i needed. The good thing was that all the receptionists were very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Corina, Marco and Fernando for all their kindness and help during our stay. In the end a friendly advice to the management: Please put your house rules to the first place on your website, it can help potential guests to decide if they want a few days of frustration instead of a nice vacation or not.

On arrival our first impression was not bad, we agreed we wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel anyway so that was fine. We then realised the hotel has WIFI but not on the 2nd floor. We thought this was maybe to encourage guests downstairs to the lobby so they can buy a drink and relax, but no, because apart from the vending machines outside the main entrance there is nowhere to get a drink on the premises, whether it's tea, coffee or alcohol, nothing! In fact when I asked one evening for change for the machine I was told they never had any change, and never offered to even make us coffee, albeit one receptionist managed to make us tea 2 nights in a row, but the woman on the desk the 3rd night never, so we sat outside for an hour thirsty and bemused. The rooms were clean and towels changed every day, but the tap in our room was not fixed to the counter properly which was a hazard. One plug socket in the room which is poor, hairdryer in the bathroom is a strange one. Breakfast was poor also. Choice of 3 cereals and mixed breads, rolls and cakes. Only one hot beveridge allowed and that was from a vending machine. Overall we won't be staying there again and wished we had booked somewhere else.

We booked this hotel last minute when we unexpectedly needed accommodation in Rome. We booked the hotel online (quite late at night) and arrived about 30 minutes after booking - we were very pleased to find that the staff were expecting us when we arrived, as we were exhausted. The room was lovely, clean and spacious and we thought it was excellent value! There was also a good selection of foods for breakfast and the staff were helpful. The only downside was that the wifi did not work from our bedroom and we had to consistently go down to the lobby to check emails.
