One night stay till our cruise begins. Rooftop terrace breakfast was delicious and lots of items available. On the via veneto where all the hotels are. Right in the center of Rome. The metro is close by as is the pharmacy and lots of atms. Air conditioning is non existent in Rome it seems and this summer it is pretty hot.
We enjoyed five nights in this lovely hotel and it was a terrific base for our sightseeing activities. The room was spacious, quiet and cool (necessary for the extreme heat of 35C+ every day.) Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. The highlight was definitely the buffet breakfast on the rooftop terrace with amazing views over Rome. A good central location too. We would certainly stay here again. One small matter - the main restaurant is about to relaunch in a couple of months and therefore is still in a testing phase and is different from the restaurant shown on their website.
I highly recommend the Rome Marriott Grand Flora Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and is located in the heart of the city. The accommodations are wonderful and we found that we could walk to many outstanding attractions. But the best part of staying at the Grand Hotel Flora is the outstanding service of the staff. They were extremely helpful and their service was impeccable. They quickly responded to our every need, and always so very helpful!!! I have stayed at many hotels around the world, and the Grand Hotel Flora is among the very best and exceeds all expectations. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Rome.
This is a beautiful hotel! Pool is fantastic. We were pleased with the service and the amenities. When you enter the hotel at night the view is outstanding. We were really tired after traveling for 6 weeks and this was the perfect place to wind down.
This Marriott property is located right in the middle of Rome along the beautiful Via Veneto. The rooms are clean and we were fortunate to have a corner room with lots of space. No street noise. We loved the rooftop terrace with great views over the city, including the Vatican and Colosseum. The terrace was a beautiful place for the buffet breakfast each morning and sunset views in the evening. We were just across a busy street from Villa Borghese and less than 1/2 mile from the Spanish Steps and easy walking to many other sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was amazing and clean. We especially loved the bathroom. The service was great. The front desk was very welcoming. The breakfast was worth it and the terrace was gorgeous. It overlooked the city of Rome!
Wonderful experience, many times over. Knowing what to expect of Italian hotels and knowing what to request can make the difference between great stay and a mediocre experience. Some small rooms in this place, if you spend a lot of time in your room, by all means upgrade. The breakfast area is very nice, great views of the skyline and surrounding landscape. The food quality and variety is very good. Many places to dine within an easy stroll, many destinations are within walking distance, depending on ones tolerance for walking. It is located on a busy street, motor scooters everywhere and there is a strange order in the hectic traffic surrounding this city. Not sure if the bar is still on hydraulics but it is a novel site to see it lower at the close of hours. Bring your wallet, its Rome !
We attended our Nephew's wedding reception on the rooftop of this hotel, service was excellent, views breathtaking especially the sunset. My only criticism would be the strange disappearance of the drinks at the table if you were gone for any length of time to dance, to a great band, or go to the toilet. There weren't many toilets for the size of the function room beside it but enough for us on the rooftop. A wonderful wedding creating a lifetime of memories.
When we checked in we found the rooms to be small and then we upgraded by paying a nominal fee. Breakfast was very good and the view from the roof top was outstanding. Everything is 10-15 mins walk with a lot of good restaurants in the area. So will highly recommend it but be ready for small Rooms as this is Rome.
We stayed here mid July. All 10 of us. Check in was easy with staff able to understand our southern English. Ha. They even let us have one room early to store our luggage while the other rooms were getting ready. We used this time for a tour of the Vatican. Everything about this hotel is of the highest standards. Rooms are excellent in all areas. The breakfast on the top floor looking out over the city was very nice. The old city wall is just out the front door. There is a nice park 1/2 a block away. There are restaurants close and a couple of local pizza places with Gelato close by as well. If you want franchise, there is a Hard Rock Cafe a couple of blocks away. A few pics that I added are front of Hotel, the old city wall next to Hotel, a view from our room, and the local pizza place. Also, the location is pretty good for a cab ride to different place to see. Not too far from anything. Taxi's are near just to the right of the hotel. Enjoy.
