The hotel does not deserve a 4 Star rating. The place has not been fixed in a long while. The photos on their website are from many years ago, I believe they are from when they did some repairs to it. The room is small, but the shower is lot smaller and it is difficult to take a shower. I am tall fairly in shape guy and I was not able to move around the shower area. The front desk personnel were so nice and professional and it too bad that the Hotel is not as nice and worthy of a 4 Star rating. I believe it is a 3 Star and event that, it will be pushing it. I will not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was a great place to start and end the day. Breakfast was fabulous, the dining room was great, and the outside area had several places to sit and relax before starting your day. At end of day there was a lounge to sit and regroup for the next day or you could simply sit outside at one of the three areas. The desk people were extremely helpful in keeping your keys so nobody lost her key during the day and you just pick it up at night because they were open 24 hours!

Good breakfast with various selections. Nice and helpful staff. 10 minute walk from metro station. Overall, this is a very place to stay with a reasonable price.

This cozy hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood approximately 0.5 miles from Policlinico blue line train station. This is important since connection to Termini red line station is only 2 stops. To see most of Rome's sights, one will be riding the red line both ways most of the time. Termini red line station also hosts the Trenitalia train station if you are planning to travel onto Florence, Venice and Salerno for Amalfi Coast. Neighborhood is good to walk around. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but keep in mind that this is an older building. Breakfast has good selection of cereals, breads and fruits. I would stay here again due to it's excellent location, staff and value.

I can't say anything good about a hotel that grabs the $$ in lieu of incorrect dates along with a guaranteed reservation. The room was rebooked immediately AND they scooped the guaranteed funds as well. How kind was that. I wanted to rebook and use the funds for different dates to no avail.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 weeks during our first trip to Rome. The hotel location is very close to the subway and all of the major tourist attractions are close by. One of the things I enjoyed about the hotel was the day trips they offer. We went on a Naples & Pompeii guided tour that I really enjoyed. On the down side the walls are paper thin and you can literally hear everything.

Great location close to public transportation. Excellent staff, delicious breakfast. Very clean -- fresh and modern.

The Villa Torlonia Hotel is Rome is situated in a beautiful neighborhood only minutes from major bus, tram, and metro stops. Each morning is a sumptuous buffet breakfast that is pleasing to eye as well as to the stomach. The staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable in the sights in the neighborhood and throughout Rome. It was a perfect place to see the familiar tourist sights and explore hidden gems not found in the guide books.

Hotel was clean, and quiet. The rooms small but adequate. Could use better pillows. Nice breakfast included. Access to nearby Metro for sightseeing with waking distant restaurants and market. Quaint and affordable.

Upon arrival we were totally ignored while a group of men working at reception were talking right in front of us. When I finally cut in to say hi and that we were checking in they begrudgingly turned around to help us. They were not nice at all! I felt like such a burden to them that we didn't ask for any help from them our entire week long stay even though we needed it. The room was a nice size but the shower is literally about 2ft by 2 ft. Most uncomfortable shower ever! The towels were like rubbing cardboard against your skin. you could feel the springs in the bed, so we did not sleep well at all. There is no computer for guests to use which was really inconvient for us. The breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff were nice. The metro is close. And there are restaurants, stores, and supermarkets nearby

This hotel is wonderfully located: two blocks from the metro, one block from the Tram that passes the Coliseum on the way to Trastevere, one block to the bus to the Vatican, and it is in a quiet neighborhood. However, the problem is that the beds are like bricks! My back was so sore after two days that it took a couple days on a nice bed on the cruise ship to return to normal.

Location of hotel is good. Les than 15 minutes walk to bar and restaurant. Room was small but very convenient. Hotel is a great location and quite (like a village). Parking is extra money (18 euro per night)

I stayed in this hotel 6/5-6/10/15 and everything was very nice. Internet connection was excellent, breakfast was very good for its variety. The only problem was thin walls. I could hear my neighbors taking showers and flushing their toilets (that was the worst), talking, and even snoring. Yes, the walls are that thin. The room was very clean even though the bed was small, but it was expected for a European hotel. The subway station Policlinico was within 5 minuts walking. There was a great restaurant there called Eleonora (or something like that) up the street, about 5 minuts walking from hotel. It had excellent food and service.

My husband and I stayed only 2 days in Rome, but when we checked into this hotel we wished we were staying longer. The hotel had an elegant feel, we loved all the old pictures of the sites of Rome. The room was comfortable and quiet. They offer a nice breakfast buffet. The Hotel is near a lot of nice restaurants and shops. To get to the historic sites of Rome we used the subway system, this was a short walk from the hotel and very easy to use. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has several inside as well as outside seating areas that would be wonderful to sit and enjoy a cappuccino!
