Hotel Quattro Fontane

We stayed at this hotel as a family while on holiday in Rome for three nights. The rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate and the hotel is near the very centre of Rome itself. The rooms were kept very clean and the bathroom was very nice. I particularly liked the shower as it was very powerful. I would also like to praise the lady who worked alone in the breakfast room as she worked incredibly hard. Breakfast was self serve and food was delicious and changed on a daily basis. I loved the lemon croissants! The only reason I have given this hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is that, as other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is in need of updating as some carpets were stained and the walls are quite thin meaning you can hear people talking in the rooms opposite. Overall though, we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend this hotel for its breakfast and central location.

The hotel has a superb location. It is next to the Quattro Fontane, a short walk to the Trevi fountain where you’re a completely spoiled for choice with bars & restaurants. Close by there is also an area with many designer and retail shops for those interested in in doing some shopping in Rome. The Barberini metro station is only about 150 yards from the hotel which allows you to travel around Rome quickly and easily.(Also a bank next to Barberini) I honestly couldn’t think of anything else that could make this a better location. The hotel had a lovely reception area with a relaxing water fall feature and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were great and we loved the breakfast as it had a wide selection of both hot and cold food (and Plenty of Cakes) We found the cheapest price on the official website and can’t wait to book again.

when we arrived we were able to ceck in earlier than ceck in time,we also got our bag brought to our room and how could i forget the beautiful greetings each time you enter and exit the hotel. the hotel is in good distance to almost everything. me and my family walked for kms at a day and it was all fairly straight. Thank you very much

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Quattro Fontane. The good: location, cleanliness and extremely friendly staff. The bad: excessive heat in bedrooms, yes, you can open the windows, unfortunately the noise from outside is horrendous. Top tip buy or take some earplugs with you and it's ok. Breakfast - simply awful, coffee was disgusting. The ugly: the decor, the rooms desperately need an update. However, as I've already mentioned our room was kept immacutely clean by housekeeping. At the end of the day - how long do you spend in your room! The location was perfect easy walking distance to all the major attractions, loads of restaurants right in your doorstep. It is located up an incline, no problem if you have no mobility issues, but be aware if you have. €24 for a taxi from termini to hotel, if you don't have much luggage it's an easy walk, or the metro costs €1.50.

First stopped here in New Year 2002 and liked it enough to come back. It has changed very little. The rooms would be better if they were bigger but are very nice, with lovely linen and towels and a good shower. Very clean. The lift only holds two people which might annoy some, its very quaint and the staff are absolutely lovely. Very friendly. The breakfast is good and the the location is excellent for lots of the the sights. I would definately stay there again.

Was put up here on business for a few nights in December. This was my first time staying in this part of Rome, and I found it to be convenient for my work but a bit far for visiting most everything else. The traffic noise is loud enough to require ear plugs (I also used a white noise app one my phone). The hotel itself is charming, but needs quite a bit of updating....especially the carpets and plumbing (we had a terrible smell in the bathroom). There is quite a nice breakfast buffet but only machine coffee.

You get what you paid for a 3-star hotel. me and my husband stayed in this hotel for three nights less than a month ago. Pretty much only for sleep and taking shower get ready to go. Which fulfilled our expectation. But there were two down sides to this hotel. 1- Our safe did not work and their maintenance staff could not fix it either and they did not follow up or put any effort to fix or do sth about it. so we had to carry our valuables everywhere with us. 2- The receptionist are changing every 8 hours and you would see new faces at reception and of course you face is new to them but you ask for your key to your room and they give it to you without checking if you are the right person or not. I might be too picky about it but did not seem right. Overall I was happy with this hotel and it is in walking distance to a lot of places.

In a very good position A couple of days in Rome, to show the city to my kids, and this hotel was quite a good choice. The room was not the biggest, and the kids slept on a sofa bed and on a 4th bed taken there for the occasion, but it was good enough. Staff very competent and helpful The pickup service from the airport is very good and very reliable

My husband and I and my son and his girlfriend stayed here for four nights this week. It's a small, friendly hotel in an excellent location for all the main sites, with a Metro station (Barberini) at the bottom of the hill. The rooms are clean and we had ample space in both rooms. The staff could not have been more helpful (especially Jean) and breakfast was a very varied, continental style with some excellent coffee to start the day!! The hotel staff organised or excursion to Pompeii and helped us check out airport transfer before returning home. We would definitely stay here again!!
