Hotel Quattro Fontane3.0 out of 5.0

The room we had on the first floor was updated and comfortable, but the outside traffic noise was annoying. According to the front desk, the rooms in the back are quieter but smaller. The hotel is on a hill. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, this may be a big deal, depending on who you are! In general, the staff was not friendly. One person on the front desk was downright rude when I inquired about the possibility of changing rooms. The biggest plus: breakfast was generous with plenty of selection (eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, cold cuts, cereal, juice, and variations on coffee).
At first site the hotel seems very small, especially when you try to get in the elevator and enter your room.(But what hotel in Europe isn't like that) The shower was very small, but the water pressure was the best. Although the rooms were small, the staff was grand. They were very friendly and helpful. The area was perfect for first timers in Rome. There was multiple restaurants and we were close to multiple attractions. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps...ect. And for the type that likes to hang out at night, there were some pretty good pubs near by. Overall I loved my stay at this Hotel and Area.
