The shower was very small with no shelf for toiletries. One of the single bedrooms which my Auntie stayed in next to us did not have any A/C which made sleeping difficult in July. Breakfast was ok, not brilliant. The second day, the coffee was cold.... rooms were small without much light, not very modern at all. The best thing was its location close to Termini station.Wi fi signal was very poor. The price was good for location.....
The hotel is accessible to train station, near the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colesseum. The building is very old, a former convent for nuns. It was pretty scary during our 1st night because of the earthquake experience.
Good location and acceptable breakfast. The water was coming from air conditioner and we asked to change the room but they didn't have another and they didn't make it right. The rooms are so simple and not beautiful. Lots of stairs
This hotel is near the church Santa Maria La Magliore and not far from the center if you want to go for a walk! Rooms are nice and comfortable and you can have a great breakfast also there! The service is nice and friendly and will make it easier to you.
This hotel was in the best most convenient location possible. Only a block from the metro station and a 15 minute walk from the colosseum. Lost of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The service is very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with shower but it was fixed immediately. The breakfast is average with croissants, bread and cheese. The coffee was nice and strong. The rooms were warm relatively clean but some parts had a lot of dust. The walls are very thin so if you have a problem with noise then you should avoid this place. For the price I found this hotel very convenient and satisfactory. If you're planing on spending all day wandering around the city and don't care so much for noise then I would strongly suggest this hotel for its location and price.
Budget hotel in a good position within walking distance of railway station & shuttle bus stop for the airport. The room was very small & tired looking, the bathroom was very very tiny. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast was very limited but we didn't pay a lot for the room.
We didn't have great expectations because of the room price...The location of the hotel was great, few blocks from the Termini-station. The hotel staff were really helpful, told how to easily reach the"must to see" places. The room was littlebit old stylish but clean and the air conditioner worked. The wifi worked fine, at least on the 2nd floor. The breakfast could have been little better: there was serials, croissants, fruits, yogurt, coffee, tee and juice. But compared to our friend's hotel breakfast (a piece of blueberry pie), our was just fine.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make your trip special. They offer you a lot of information and guidance. Breakfast is always lovely. The hotel is in a very central location and the rooms are nicely decorated and well furnished.
Old style hotel, so old that there are on lifts. From some that would be a problem but it's a good workout. Small bathroom. Still in all charming place with a great staff. Breakfast is very basics, coffee is good. Location is great, close to the train station and walking distance to the colosseum and more. View of our room.
Stayed here for a week in May 2015. Is 5/10 minutes walk from the bus and train station so well placed for getting around, particularly as it is the centre of the bus system to get get you around the city. Lots of nice restaurants only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We just went out every night without any plan of where to eat and picked somewhere that looked nice and we were not disappointed on any night. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not, which is to say that it is a basic B&B style establishment. Rooms are clean and functional and when all you need is somewhere to sleep and use as a base to visit the city, then it is perfect if you don't want to overspend. But why they cannot serve a decent breakfast I do not know. This is Italy, land of fabulous food, and it is a real disappointment. We're not fussy but this was our only complaint really. So much to see in Rome that our week there - which many thought was too long - was nowhere near long enough. Mind you we have a good excuse to go back. We recommend Ostia Antica (30 minute train journey out of Rome) and advise comfy footwear as the site is huge. Also we recommend that you don't do Ostia the day after you have been round the Vatican and St Peter's (including the 500+ steps to the top of the dome) as our feet and legs were in agony after that combination. All of the obvious places are as good as you would expect, but we'd recommend going off the beaten track a it and finding some of the small churches which are beautiful and serene, and don't make you feel so uncomfortable in the presence of all the wealth and ostentation of the larger places.
