At check-in, The staff just ask for passport and gave me the keys. No explanation on hotel policies, breaktfast time, wifi password or anything else but there was a sign that had most the basic info. Elevator is old and outdated and only hold 3 people max. You can actually walk faster to your floor. The safe in the room was not bolted down. Wifi Sucks(0.17Mbps down and 0.07Mbps up) and so did the breakfast. Wifi will ask you to login every 30mins or so or just stop working for several minutes. Breakfast was mediocre. Boil eggs are either overcook or from the day prior. Minibar fridge smell like old rotten eggs and will burn my eyes after opening it. Bathroom looks renovated but shower stall was TINY. The wooden room floor, bathroom(minus the shower stall) and bed was probably the only good thing about the room. Walls are also old and outdated. smells like mold and had cracks in them. There was no hot water at certain times(usually after 11PM). Sad thing is we had to pay the 4 star hotel tourist tax when this hotel is 2-3 stars at best.
This is a really nice hotel with great staff and exceptional location. The common areas are very clean and extremely comfortable. The rooms are well furnished and have a classic look and feel. Located adjacent to the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore and many local restaurants. There is also a Hop On Hop Off stop just across the square giving you exceptional access to the city. Also easy walk to the Romi Termini (Train Terminal). They have a really good breakfast to start the day. Easy walk Colosseum and Roman Forum. No doubt we will stay here again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a classic look, which we loved. Most major attractions within walking distance. Good view from rooftop and good restaurants in close proximity. Loved it.
Nice hotel without the frills. Clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Great location for sightseeing. Major sights within walking distance or by using public transport. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Ideal for short stays.
To the man working the night shift this summer, you are beautiful, and you are loved. Not only did you make my experience at this hotel 10x better, you made my entire life 10x better. My heart is complete. Never give up, and never change, keep doing you. You are amazing, you are unique, you are incredible, you are sexy, and you are sweet. <3 Genuinely been the highlight of not only this trip, but my entire life. TE AMO.
Very nice hotel and a great location. Front desk receptionist on the night shift will be missed. He was the highlight of the visit. Very attractive, sexy and kind receptionist who was always genuine about greeting us throughout our stay. You made the Italy trip complete, and I'll always remember that smile. Te amo.
The hotel is definitely at a great location in Rome with just a few mins walk to Colosseum, train station or bus station. The hotel definitely needs renovation and can take someone by surprise who is expecting services matching 4 star hotels around the globe. (I could see the hotel representative mentioning that the hotel satisfies regional 4 star criteria) We had some serious issues with hot water in our room and it is really annoying when you dont even get hot shower to start your new day! All our calls to reception fell on deaf ears and the same story continued even on day2. Breakfast was good and the lady serving coffee was pleasant. Expect some rude and indifferent faces at the reception; something you shouldnt be expecting from a 4 star hotel.
I was in this hotel for 4 days and they got 32€ city tax for 4 night which is more than the city tax rate. For 4 stars hotel tax rate is 3€ per night!!! Rooms are old but clean and the breakfast is average but enough. The location is good, it located near colosseum and metro station.
This hotel is full of Italian character. Our room had a beautiful view of church.Room was a little dated but that was part of the Italian charm. Spotless bed linen .Fantastic roof terrace with views of Rome. Lovely to sit in the evening with a bottle of wine. Close to Station and half hour walk to Roman forum. Staff were friendly and breakfast had a good choice.Plenty of restaurants close by.
Stayed as a couple Sep for 4 nights. Nice 'old fashioned' (not in a bad way) hotel well located within Rome, we found it easy to walk to where we wanted to go. Room was spacious and clean although the bathroom needed modernising but everything worked ok eg shower so not a problem. reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Buffet Continental breakfast in a quiet room . Didn't use the bar area but did go to the top floor balcony. this is a lovely area to take your own drinks etc which overlooks the rear of the Basilica.
