From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. Beginning with the location– close enough to walk to many of the Rome attractions, but also very near to public transit to get to those locations a bit further away. The large rooms were tastefully appointed and very clean. Breakfast each morning was an ample and delicious typical Italian spread, with a very good variety of meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, pastries, juices, and great coffee, which made for a great start to the day. And the rooftop terrace was delightful! But this hotel’s greatest asset is its gracious staff who were most helpful and extremely friendly for our entire stay. They (especially Alessandro) became like family to us and the day of our departure was a bittersweet one. I highly recommend this hotel and for sure, we will be coming back!

Location gives easy access to busses and is walking distance to the center of the city. Great views

A very charming and quiet hotel in a good location

The location is great it’s close to the underground Metro station Cavour and Termini, and right around the corner of Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. The hotel needs a bit of an update, but our rooms was big enough. The mini refrigerator doesn’t cool and the safebox didn’t close/lock. The light in one of the rooms didn’t work and neither did the light in the bathroom sink. They did fix the room like but when I told them about it and about the air freshener in the bathroom needing refill the employers seemed annoyed by my request. The air freshener didn’t get refilled. The breakfast is nice nothing extraordinary but it’s good and it’s at the roof top so there’s a beautiful view of the city. There is a guest fee per person per night and it’s calculated based on the star rating of the hotel, this hotel charges a 4 stars rating fee which is not. Over all it’s a nice decent hotel for the price.

Booked two rooms and found them to be small and uncomfortable. The beds were so old I could feel the springs in the beds. There were only two outlets in each room and neither were near the beds so could not charge cell phone and use the phone while on the bed. Could hear the shower and toilets in rooms next door and above. Near the street and could also hear the traffic and street noise very clearly all night long.

We chose Gallia Hotel as our last hotel in Rome before returning home eo the US. Unfortunately, we found the front staff to be indifferent and grudgingly helpful. This was hard to understand in a 4 star and costly hotel. The breakfast was very good though. The one experience we cannot get over was the morning a dried cockroach carrass was found in the bed sheets. We tried to be courteous, but firm with the staff that they should at least change the bed linen to fresh ones. After the hotel manager agreed to change the bed linen to fresh ones we rturned that night to find that nothing had been done. It was a bad scene, feeling that this hotel's staff treated us with disdain.

Hotel has a very good location near the Rome termini station and colosseum. Room comfort could be better. I would especially expect a more comforting bathroom from a 4-star hotel.
