Hotel Fiume4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed in Hotel Fiume for three nights and had an excellent stay. The rooms are good and the washrooms excellent. But we felt that the air conditioner did not cool the room enough to our liking. The breakfast buffet spread was decent but it got monotonous since the same menu is repeated every day. It is located only a 2 minute walk away from the bus stop and all the main attractions were very close by. The staff was very helpful and overall it was a very very good stay! Definitely recommend this hotel! Cheers.
Came here for a trip with my wife, we both enjoyed our stay at Fiume. Breakfast was Good, rooms were clean and all in all Good value for money while visiting rome. Its about 12-15 min walk from termini station and close to buses taking you to central locations, the area is not heavy with traffic so you can Get a Good nights sleep without being disturbed.
The hotel is a nice place to stay when in Rome. The rooms are clean and well equipped with things one might need. The breakfast is good, and in a nice and quiet environment. The staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable abouth their city and speak good English. The only down side to this hotel is the Air-conditioning. The AC is in lack of a better word: useless. The sumner here is very hot , and the rooms are almost unbearable hot during the night. I have to spoon a wet towle and face the open window with a hope that the brees will cool me down enough to fall asleep. This might be just me, but as a person from Scandinavia, i require a cool room when trying to sleep.
This hotel is not in the heart of any tourist part of Rome, but it was in a quieter neighborhood filled with some tourists, but mostly locals. We loved it. You need to take a cab to most attractions, but the friendly hotel staff will gladly call a cab for you and it's there in minutes. We lucked out and were given a 4th floor room. Only these rooms have their own little balcony/terrace. It was beautiful. The fifth floor has a large terrace open to everyone and is lovely. Good breakfasts and great staff. Great local restaurants to eat at.
My partner and I are staying at the hotel as I write this. I was a little worried when I read the mixed reviews about this hotel. My partner booked this trip as a birthday surprise for me. I can't fault this hotel, friendly and helpful when booking in. We we're given a map with all the interesting sites pointed out to us. The room is lovely, very clean and nicely decorated. We we're upgraded to a superior suite on booking into the hotel. It has everything that is needed for a short stay. The reception area is welcoming and clean. A little bar at the back of the reception area. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and I would definitely stay here again. I will give a full review of this hotel when home.
This hotel is about 15 min walk to centre of Rome in a nice quiet area, every thing is very clean and tidy and all the staff are very helpful and friendly, there is a small lobby bar which has happy hour 6:30 till 8:00 pm ( all drinks half price )' Rooms fairly small but enough for what you need, with tea and coffee making facilities ( you will need to request milk if you need it ), mini bar chargeable, decent size bathroom ( bath and shower ) soap shampoo etc. all supplied. rear rooms also have a small balcony, you only get a view if you on a high floor. Breakfast is really good / bacon, scrambled egg,( boiled eggs which would be better hot ) salad, caked, fruit, and plenty of hot coffee. When I return to Rome I will definitely use this hotel again.
The hotel was very dated and needs a major renovation. The bathroom and shower were ridiculously tiny. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel is not conveniently located to the sites in Rome. The hotel lobby sports a 70's theme with worn furniture and worn carpets.
Small but cosy hotel, located a bit far from the center(10 euro cab drive). The room was very small, but breakfast was good(ham, cheese, fruits, dessert, butter, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt etc)it included a good selection of fresh food and freshly squezed orange juice.
We arrived to find hair in the bath, the shower head leaked making it poor at best, the air conditioning didn't work, a bad smell came through either the toilet or sink drainage. The service was acceptable but doesn't make up for our shoddy room and to top it off we were charged 6 euros a day per person city tax, we were not told about this upon arrival and after reading the confirmation email it does state this is per night. we were charged €36 when we should have been charged €24 I wish now I could have been bothered to query this further but we just wanted to leave this hotel. 4 star hotel I don't think so ! We will not be returning.
We really enjoyed our stay at Fiume Hotel. It's about a 15 minute walk from Termini station. It is, however, located just outside of the Old Walls, so it is not in the middle of most of the tourist attractions. If you want to go to the Coliseum, you'll likely need to have the front desk call you a cab or find a way to take the bus. What I loved about the hotel was that it was particularly close to the Borghese Gardens and outside the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. The staff was friendly and helpful in arranging reservations at restaurants for us. The room was nice. I enjoyed a hot bubble bath and a comfortable bed. We had nice little balcony to walk out onto. Breakfast offered a nice assortment - fresh juices, pastries, cheeses, meats, eggs and fruit and included automatic espresso machine. You could also order even better espresso from the hotel staff. There was a pharmacy and market conveniently located just around the corner.
