We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, one of which was New Year’s Eve. Hotel rooms are decently sized considering Europe rooms are typically tiny. Our room was always cleaned and properly done up each day. The downfalls were the small elevators which only held 2-3 people or else you need to climb literally 4 flights of stairs to make it to the second floor. The breakfast in the morning was basic, and always had to get coffee elsewhere (because it wasn’t very good here). We were relying on the concierge providing us some insight on things to do, places to go and what to do on New Years. No offence but they were a little useless. We were always located directly beside a strip joint...that wasn’t an issue, as we never saw anyone come in or out, and luckily we couldn’t hear the music. We are walking distance from the Spanish steps and Trevino fountain. Make sure you bring comfy shoes!
We stayed at Hotel Caprice at the end of November for four days and we're very pleased particularly with staff. They were very friendly at reception, the small breakfast room and while cleaning corridors and rooms. Highly recommendable!
Perfect spot to see all the main attractions and more, friendly staff who let us temporarily use an umbrella and a plug socket, great little breakfast to start the day, great speed on the Wi-Fi, shower not the most powerful no tea and coffee in rooms which is a shame and the hairdryer was shambolic and no iron again is a shame but definitely recommend if you are happy with the above!!
My wife and I chose this hotel through our travel agent to stay 3 nights before our cruise, we couldn’t have chosen better! This is a small hotel on a quiet street with all amenities you need. We were delighted how central it was to all major attractions, we walked everywhere using our GPS as a guide with no problems at all. The Caprice is in a nice area, close to Piazza Barberini, with some lovely restaurants nearby, one we went to twice as we enjoyed it so much. Rooms weren’t huge but adequate, lovely shower/ bathroom and comfortable bed. We would stay here again without hesitation if we go back to Rome.
My colleague and I stayed at this location due to the proximity to where we were going to have a meeting the following day. But for site seeing, this is definitely a great location as well. Walking distance to Palazzo Barberini and the Quatre Fountain and easy access to the Rome subway,
I were there with my wife and mother-in-law. Reserved two suite rooms: very clean, big terrace, good view, but AC in one of them worked bad, for 4 days it was not repaired. WiFi works bad. Almost no soundproof in the room, loud doors in neighbour rooms. But breakfast was really good. P.S. Also, not really liked the neighborhood with a pole dance club (the next door)
Very nice hotel with good rooms, clean, great shower and welcoming employees, at an affordable price. Breakfast included, simple but good. The elevator is very very small for those who are afraid. Great localization, walking distance of the Fontana, Pantheon and even Coliseum - if you don't mind walking a bit longer. Nice restaurants nearby. Good choice overall.
Small hotel just off one of the main streets in Rome, very well situated to visit all the main attractions. The hotel is small and compact, small breakfast room with about 10 tables, but well catered with a continental style breakfast, unfortunately no bar or roof terrace. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable with most modern amenities( no coffee or tea) very good size shower room. There is a chargeable mini bar in your room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This would make a good location to base yourself to see the sights of this beautiful city, without breaking the bank.
A fabulous little hotel! Close to all amenities, lovely staff ,very friendly, very helpful and respectful. Would definitely recommend, had booked into a supposedly 'higher ranking' hotel the night before ,which was awful , walked out of that the following morning and into the lovely Hotel Caprice , so glad we did ! Beautiful rooms , very, very clean , lovely views and great air con. Ten minute walk from the beautiful fountain, easy access to the 'hop on hop off' bus, around the corner from The Hard Rock Cafe. Cannot rate this lovely gem of a hotel enough ! What started off as a disastrous city break , turned into the most amazing break, all thank to the lovely Hotel Caprice. 👍 Thankyou all staff at the Hotel Caprice x
The location of the hotel could not be better, very close to the Trevi Fountain, within walking distance, and at the same time in a quiet area away from the big tourist crowds. There is also a metro station and bus which can take you to the main attractions. The room very clean and everything seems new and modern, the best was the breakfast times between 6:30-10:30 which gives you a lot of flexibility when planning your visiting day. The only downside was the reception which lacks customer service. Everything is robotic, they do not seem very happy that you arrived and do not give you any information at all. We had to ask literally everything we needed to know and the city map was handed along with a 'this is the map, goodbye' . I think you only expect at least the minimum and a smile in order to feel welcome and not like you ruined their day by showing up.
