This was the best fit for our group - 3 couples. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, so we had it to ourselves. Very clean, comfy, and neat. Smallish kitchen/dining/sitting area but we were out seeing the amazing sights and ate most meals out. We could walk to Termini and the Colosseum from here, taking a bus occasionally. A wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a group.

The good: Great location walking distance to Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Veneto and the Metro as well as a supermarket and the restaurant right outside is great value. With 2 teen daughters wifi was the best we've had in Europe(admittedly we needed it also). David the manager was basically a phone call away and was helpful for several things including helping us find a cheap laundry service. Now the BAD: unfortunately the apartment (No 2) is old and smelly. There was a terrible musty smell every time we came in after a day out and the bathroom smelt of sewerage. It didn't ruin our stay in Rome, but I don't think we would stay there again.

We stayed in room #2 in August 2014. Check in was a bit of a pain as the owner wasn't there when he promised so we stood outside ringing the doorbell for a few minutes. Fortunately we happened to have a cellphone with international calling to call the owner and let him know we were waiting to get in. As he was out of town, he sent one of his employees to let us in. The apartment was clean and basic. It is in a very good location and given the price, was worth the stay. The bathroom was old and had a smell of sewage every time the toilet was flushed. The shower was very small and walls were very flimsy. I bumped into the walls more than 20 times every time I showered. It was good value for money but I would not stay here again. Spend a bit more and stay somewhere else.

All the 5's as above says it all. Close to underground Rail line and buses as well. Close to a supermarket, restaurants, bars, shops. What more could you want. Be careful with the taxi drivers....they seem all ready to Rip you off.

The premises are located next to the famous Via Veneto. Very fwell furnished with orient carpets, fridge, coffee machine., CD player etc. The breakfast is included in the very reasonable price. You are near Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese and the Metro station is Barbarini which is full of restaurants and Cafes. A beautiful break for a couple of days.

The location is excellent, very close (short walk) to a number of rome highlights (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Cappucin Crypt) and walkable to the Coloseum. It was in a safe and quiet neighborhood and was a good price for the area. The apartment was dark and the kitchen and bathroom were quite small. As we spent most of our time and meals out, the location and price were key. the rooms themselves were good enough for our needs. All our dealings, in person and email, were very pleasant and helpful. Transfers were arranged for us and the owner/manager was generally responsive. We did have an issue with smells in the bathroom, but I trust they were temporary. Great location, good price, ok place to stay

This apartment is such a find! It is about 7 minute walk from the Barberini Metro station, about 8 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. The neighborhood is very nice, there are a lot of very nice hotels nearby. The apartment is 2 bedrooms (double bed in one, 2 twin beds in another), a fully equipped kitchen and a very nice bathroom with roomy shower. We were in Room 14. The beds were extremely comfortable - even our kids commented on it. There is a flat screen TV and free Wifi that worked perfectly. The room is 3 stories up and there is a working elevator. We bought food at a nearby supermercado (about 10 minutes walk) and made our breakfasts and dinners each day and ate lunch out. This is near to everything, we only took the Metro twice during our four day stay (from Termini to Barberini and then back again), the rest was walking. All of the rooms have shutters and room darkening shades. We didn't meet the Owner (but he was easily accessible by email and phone), but the woman who let us in was very nice and efficient. We truly couldn't have found a better place for us and our two teenage kids. We will stay here every time we go to Rome from here on out. Enjoy!!!

Our family (couple and 3 adult children) stayed at the Aurora Apartment in April 2012. The location is very good, just a short walk to Barberini station and many of Rome's highlights within walking distance (eg Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Cappucin Crypt). Located in a lovely old building, the apartment is quiet and safe. Quite dark as not much natural light enters (windows courtyard facing), but clean and comfortable enough. Looking at the photos on Trip Advisor I think there must be two apartments as I recognise the older bathroom, (but there is also a newer one there too?) The one we stayed in didn't have any living area, just a very narrow, small kitchen (not the one shown in pictures), with a table that seated 2. Would not be any good for family dinners or hanging out together there. Also, I presumed from photos there were single beds, when in fact there were two doubles (made it a bit awkward as my sons not that comfortable sharing a bed). We were supplied, on prior request, with an additional bed for our daughter, which was great. All our dealings, in person and email, were very pleasant and helpful. We were supplied with maps of the city. The cost is quite reasonable, so while there are some negatives, the apartment represents good value. It is great as a base to sleep, but wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there. (I would have rated it Good, but site only goes from Average to Very Good). (I emailed to re-confirm our booking a couple of weeks earlier and learned that our booking had been incorrectly recorded as 2 nights instead of 3. David was apologetic and did fix the problem by accommodating us at another hotel he owned (Aenea Superior Inn - which was lovely). However, it did involve a chunk of our very limited time there, packing up, moving (always an interesting exercise taking a lot of luggage on underground) and re-checking in etc. I'm just glad I emailed as might've been a lot more hassle if we hadn't an no arrangement had been made for our last night).

Fantastic location. Wonderful welcome and assistance from David (manager) and staff including arranging transport from airport when our flight was delayed. Good space for a small apartment with excellent facilities even for a family of 4 including a 9yr old and 83yr old! Great value for money. Highly recommend it.

The apartment was comfortable, basic and very clean. We had a few problems with the hot water, I think the owner must have known there were problems because they explained how we should use the reset button on the boiler. Unfortunately, we didnt get the hang of it and had tepid showers for three nights. The kitchen was fairly basic but you don't really intend spending much time cooking when in Rome. The only downside I would say is that there was no where to sit apart from at the kitchen table. It would be nice to have somewhere more comfortable to have a glass or two of vino before you go out for the evening. The location is excellent, walking distance to all the main attractions. All in all, a really good location and a very functional and appropriately priced place to stay
