A taste of local flavour
As a traveler, I prefer to stay in non-touristy areas, preferring to be surrounded by local people as much as possible. This accommodation perfectly fits the bill to a tee. The room is in a quiet, residential location (in an apartment with two other adjoining rooms without a common area) providing some of the comforts you can find in a traditional, hotel room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet was immaculate. It had good supply of toiletries and hot water. The room I booked has a small balcony. The caretaker, Tiziana, was even better than Siri, Alexa, Cortana or Google Maps as she provided a quicker and easier way of navigating and getting through the apartment. There were a few very minor hiccups but everytime, she was there to save the day, responding to me via WhatsApp. :) She also provides you answers about the surrounding area which will take you forever if you just rely on Google Search. If it's your first time in Rome like me, just note that Trastevere is quite a big suburb. You have to mention if you are catching a cab or asking for directions that it's closer to "Trastevere Station" (Trastevere Stazione). It's in the less touristy and quieter side of this suburb which I enjoyed. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. I'll happily stay in this room again in the future.
