We stayed here gor our honeymoon in May and ended up snowed in. Through our whole stay, however, the staff was really nice and helpful. We lost power due to the storm but they were on top of it and got it back in just a few hours. The front desk lady was so nice during our adventure she offered to grab us some groceries since she was going and they ordered pizza for all the guests so we wouldn't risk going out. Minor issue: we got a room under the restaurant so it got a bit noisy one night as they were cleaning up upstairs but otherwise we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon.

The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing!!! The first night we checked in we were told good spots to eat in town and what to check out around town. They have videos you can rent, a pool table, and even had s'mores in the lobby. We went in March so the pool was closed but the hot tub was open which was an unexpected bonus. We were even told as long as we stayed quiet and didn't disturb the other guests it would stay open all night! The hotel actually sat up on the mountain so you have a beautiful view of the town. There were only a few things I didn't like about our stay. The beds were VERY firm, even the pull out sofa was extremely firm. Also since it's very old the walls are thin so you constantly hear people walking up and down the hallway, knocking on doors, shutting doors and talking in the hallway. I would definitely recommend this hotel though and would gladly stay there again.

Our room was right next to the stairway and we could hear everything from the lobby and everyone going up and down the stairs and thru the hallway. It was impossible to sleep.

Nice staff older rooms but comfortable. Restaurant was good. Views amazing.

Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Gave us good recommendations for massage & chiropractic care. Enjoyed the view & sauna. We're problems controlling heat tho

The hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was a little hot for our liking, but were comfortable with the windows open. The rooms were a little smaller than expected, but the space was adequate. The kitchenette in our room was very useful. The hotel provided basic kitchenwares (plates, cups, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, and pots and pans) and a small refrigerator, which was very useful and very appreciated. We also appreciated the coffee provided in the lobby every morning.

Great old hotel that has been undated. room was large with a separate bed room. We did not expect the kitchen but it was a nice convenience. Ice maker was in the basement and our room was on the 3rd floor so that was a bit of an issue. I would stay here again if I ever make it back to Estes Park.

The staff are really nice and helpful. The master shower was very tough to use because the shower stall was so tiny. The lodge area with the restaurant, library/game room and fireplace were really nice. The bar was nice and comfortable. Ann and Gina at the front desk were really nice!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel staff ( Ann at front desk) was great. Was very welcoming and made us feel welcomed. Room was fine. A bit cramped but was clean and worked fine for us.

The Crags Inn is an historic inn and is run as such, with pros and cons. The staff is lovely and accommodating, so pleasant as you are presented proudly with ancient brass keys! (That work perfectly). There is no air conditioning, and a window fan is provided. I believe this is a sneaky way to get you out of the room during the day :) The temp was OK at night. The floors are a bit creaky, as are the bedsprings. There seems to be a family vibe, lots of children running around, a pro or con depending on your preference.

This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. My boyfriend and I attended the Masquerade ball at the Stanley for halloween, and needed a last minute hotel reservation. The Crags Lodge was tucked back in a wooded area, which thankfully kept it mostly quiet all evening. The lobby area is gorgeous-- everything you'd want to see in a rustic Colorado hotel in the fall, complete with a big fireplace! Our room was excellent as well, with a bed, bathroom and lovely sitting area.

The Craig's is kind of what you'd expect of an old CO mountain lodge - homey, great amenities, comfortable chairs and fireplaces but you can't escape the feeling that 1000+ people have been through the place before you. I stayed in the annex building and the bathroom could have been cleaner, especially the tub grout and sink but the kitchenette was nice. Worth the stay if you can avoid peak season pricing.

Perfection. Great mothers day weekend. It snowed plus staff was friendly. I will be coming back for the 4th time. Home away from home.

Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect. Views are unbeatable. Rooms are cozy!

Beautiful place with lovely views and friendly people. Not much there though except coffee in the morning. Convinient to town!

We've been coming to the Historic Crag's Lodge for the past two years and we love it! The staff is great and the rooms are perfect with the ability to cook your own food so you don't have to spend a fortune eating out. We go to Estes for the snowshoeing and hiking and some days we just stayed in the hotel, relaxed, shot some pool, hot tub, etc. It's close to the downtown area and yet you feel remote. It's beautiful.

The Historic Crags Lodge was a lovely place to spend a night away. The building itself is beautiful and set up in the mountains of Estes. The room was comfortable and I really appreciated the well-stocked kitchenette. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Historic Crags Lodge was a very special experience. So much memorabilia and such a fantastic view. Our accommodations met all our expectations of cleanliness and comfort. Our only disappointment was that we had to go into town for breakfast and we would have so enjoyed having breakfast in the dining room right on the premises.

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. The decor was disappointing; I think they need to improve the lighting and pictures. Rocky Mountain National Park is so scenic, but the pictures and lamps in the room looked like garage sale finds. If the hotel is hosting a function, I would suggest eating elsewhere. There was a wedding the night we visited, but the restaurant served us anyway. It was somewhat disappointing and quite expensive. I'm sure it would have been nice if they weren't busy serving a wedding. The staff was very kind and helpful.

We asked and received a one room bedroom with a couch that converted to a bed. The queen bed was fairly comfortable but the couch bed was springy and lumpy and not conducive to sleep. The personnel and surroundings were very nice and the food was tasty and they could adhere to the gluten free diet we requested. The location is somewhat difficult to find at first but is very scenic.
