Baymont Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond

Booked this hotel 5 days in advance of a wedding. Got confirmation through Orbitz so I thought everything was good to go. Drove an hour to the hotel to be told they didn't have my booking and no available space. My wife was smart and dressed up at home. I was going to change at the hotel. Well, I ended up having to change into my suit in the venues bathroom. Spent an hour on the phone with Orbitz during the reception to solve. No local rooms were available nearby so we had to drive an extra 30 mins after the wedding to the nearest hotel. Needless to say, I couldn't drink much compared to the hotel within walking distance. Orbitz took care of me in the end, but this whole experience sucked.

No pool but close to Lake Geneva

Under construction, and everything was out of sorts. Cable service was not functioning properly in my room. It's a cheap Super 8 and it was a one-night stay, so expectations were low -- but this Super 8 somehow still missed on those expectations.

Night of check in parked in lot and had to walk through a large group of roofing contractors that were drunk and partying in the parking lot. Room smelled like cigarette smoke really bad. So bad that I woke up the next morning with a sore throat. Next morning went to take my dog for a walk and the parking lot was full of beer bottle caps and empty beer cases. Told the desk, they apologized but did nothing. This was a very disappointing stay and stayed out of the room as much as possible.

You get what you pay for. No problems at check in. No frills throughout.

We selected this location since it was very close to Lake Geneva and was at a economical price. We enjoyed our stay out there. The continental breakfast was satisfactory and the room was clean. We would stay there again for sure.

Good place for a quick place to stay before getting into Chicago.

First off, this hotel is disgusting. I don't know what I was thinking to stay here, even to save a buck. I called ahead about their pet policy to say I was bringing my puppy and she would stay in her crate while I participated in a local triathlon. When I arrived, they informed me that pets were not allowed unattended, even if they were in a crate. I told them that I wish they would have mentioned that before I left from the city during our call about their pet policy! Needless to say, I went back to the city (2 hours away) and drove up the next day for the race. I got 2nd place, even after 4 hours of sleep. Thanks Super 8. Enjoy your $60 that you refused to refund to me.

Staff was so nice and accommodating! The room was great!

Staff was excellent, room just right, location was perfect for our needs - they could stand better in-room quality and amount of coffee, and softer pillows, but otherwise it's everything we need - we will be staying again before the year is out!

Super 8 is a basic hotel. Yet our experience was pleasant and without complaint. The staff was competent and friendly, the room clean and comfortable. We were satisfied with our experience.

I was at this hotel because it was close to the wedding I was going to in Twin Lakes, WI. The hotel was average. The King size bed I had requested in my reservation was on the second floor and I had a large suit case with me. There were no elevators to take me to the second floor so I had to take a room with two double beds in it instead. The room was adequate but I would not recommend this hotel unless you really needed to be in or around Richmond as your food and entertainment choices are very limited. I have been to other places that were off the beaten path that had lower prices and nicer rooms. The only thing that made this Hotel package a deal was I rented a car for the same period of time I was staying at the hotel. This hotel would not be worth the price otherwise.

We stayed at the SaveInn over the 4th of July. It was very inexpensive. WHAT WE LIKED The hotel itself is older. It was extremely well-maintained. Nothing was broken or dingy-looking. The housekeeping staff should be commended, as the room (and the rest of the hotel) was spotless. For being at full capacity, it was also very quiet. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We had a problem with the TV remote. They switched remotes immediately. A remote is not a big deal, but they were right on top of it. Even though the pool was outdoor and very small, it too was spotless. There was a continental breakfast included. Not the biggest in the world, but very nice. The SavInn does also have WiFi. I was able to connect with no problem. Even the parking lot & landscaping was well done, though there was construction on highway 12. THINGS WE DIDN'T LIKE The air in the room was very dry. We didn't have the air conditioning on very high, since the weather was very cool for July. The only ice/vending machines were in the middle of the first floor. There are no elevators. BOTTOM LINE It's a small, immaculately kept hotel with few emmenities, all for a reasonable price.
