Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center

The bathroom had hair and yellow stains all over the ceiling, the toilet seat was broken, there was only 1 towel in the bathroom (room had 2 queen beds), despite booking a specific room (2 bed queen) we were checked into a single king room at the end of the 5th floor. We had to call the front desk and wait for new keys to a different room to be brought to us. In the morning, we ordered breakfast through room Service (card was filled out and left outside of our door before 2am as instructed). We requested 830am delivery. At 745 am the room phone rang and we were asked to confirm our order, which defeated the purpose of the 830am requested delivery. When it was finally delivered, the price of the food on the menu was $33, tax was added, and a gratuity of over $5 was included on the bill. The server did not being silverware, so we had to wait for him to go get silverware and bring it back to us. When we tried to eat the food, it was cold. Even our toast was cold, not cooled as if it had been hot, and had cooled over time, but cold, as if it was frozen, and microwaved, but never cooked.

Asked for towels three times in two hours. The room was 75 degrees with the thermostat set at 68, but this was fixed by maintenance. Overall they should remove the Sheraton name from this hotel at this point. It has gone seriously downhill recently. Breakfast was totally disappointing. Even the light fixtures on the wall were crooked.

I HAD FORGOTTEN THE HORRIBLE TIME WE HAD IN COLORADO,FOR 5 DAYS WE TRIED TO GET COFFEE THAT WOULD FIT THE MACHINE,APPEARED THAT THE HELP HAD A FATHER WATCHING THE KIDS AT THE POOL.WITH ALL THE RUNNING AND JUMPING IN THE POOL AND HOT TUB WE HAD ENOUGH OF THE SCREAMING ,SPLASHING AND LEFT BEFORE SOMEONE SLIPPED ON THE WET TILES. THE PART THAT BROKE THE LAST STRAW WAS WHEN I WALKED FROM THE BED TO THE BATHROOM AND HAD MOUSE FECES ALL OVER MY WHITE SOCKS. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!

Very nice, a little pricey but get what you pay for!

Staff was very attentive but breakfast service was slow.

Hotel has obviously been around a while but they've done a good job with updates. Lobby is contemporary and welcoming. Check-in staff were polite and helpful. Beds and pillows were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Breakfast buffet was included in the rate and was tasty for a hotel buffet. However, the HVAC in our room made a loud popping sound the entire night which precluded the key function of a hotel--rest and sleep. I tried adjusting the thermostat and fiddled with the air filters in the air return, but nothing stopped the popping. Unfortunately, by the time the popping started, it was close to midnight and we decided not to call the front desk, hoping that it would eventually stop or that the pillows over our heads would drown out the popping enough to allow us to sleep. When I mentioned the loud popping to the staff at check out, they indicated that they would inform their maintenance folks. Hopefully that will help the next guest in this room, but I think some type of comp would have been appropriate. We'll be making frequent trips to Roanoke over the next few years and, therefore, are looking for a "go to" hotel. It's possible that this HVAC popping issue is just a freak thing affecting only the room that we were unfortunate enough to stay in, but we probably will scratch this hotel off our list.

The rooms next door were jammed with a team of some sort so the door slammed over and over and over and over again into the night and in the wee hours of the am. Manager said she would call Orbitz for a refund and apologized. The 'teams' were not rowdy or disrespectful either. the doors shut hard and when 'on a loop its' a no sleep event.

Room was dirty, cold, & bed was terrible...all staff members were fantastic!!! Very polite...best staff I've ever encountered anywhere!!!

Nice up to date rooms. Clean. Soft bed. Overall it is great place to stay.

This hotel was awesome! The room was clean and well stocked. The fitness center was spacious and clean. The restaurant was beautiful and affordable. The food was great! The staff was so happy, helpful, and beyond nice. Hands down the best staff I have ever encountered on my business trips!! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!!

extremely courteous, friendly, and responsive staff. Unfortunately, the carpet in ur room had some stains, and the indoor oool was not to clean; however everything else was fabulous! Breakfast buffet delicious!

Staff very friendly, nice bed, bathroom a little small, very clean room, safe- definitely would stay here again

Loud noises from other rooms at 2am in the morning woke me up, alarm clock goes off at 5am in next room that was apparently empty as it was not turned off...called hotel manager on Saturday and as if today Sunday no reply....I ran the blue ridge 1/2 marathon on sat and lack if sleep affected my performance...will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very friendly staff, especially Xavier, he even helped me with my bags to my car. Nice room with lots of room. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was clean and the staff were great. They always had and went out of thier way to make our stay pleasant.

My sister and I were not happy with the accommodations we set up ahead of time so we searched and, quite surprisingly, we found this Sheraton and were very very comfortable. We want to stay here every time we visit family in Thaxton!!

The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. Location was near my parents doctor's appointment.

I can't complain about a thing. Great staff, clean room and pools, beautiful facility and perfect location. Also beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms look recently updated. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We will stay here again next time passing through Roanoke

Great experience. Comfortable bed with nice sheets. Clean and lovely room.
