Rodeway Inn Civic Center

The room was clean. However, there were only two pillows - one nice but the other a bit small. During the night there was a very loud beep that was repeated intermittently all night long. I could not determine the source. It made sleeping difficult.

The area wasn't as safe or embedded in downtown as expected, but the breakfast was good, parking was ample, and the room was decent. I'll just say our non-smoking room smelled somewhat like smoke -- unacceptable.

Very friendly staff. Great location - across the street from Civic Center where competitions were held. Mostly, an OK stay. I had booked 2 double beds, when I arrived, they only had 2 doubles in a smoking room. However, they upgraded to a king size at no extra charge. Breakfast was not great but ok. The rates, however, were cheap.

Not so great hotel. But it is ok for just a night sleep and check out early.

I'd stay here again, I was able to stay along with my dog without any problems. The rooms were clean and the service was exceptional.

I was looking for convenience and affordability. Rodeway Inn offered both. The cleanliness was right on the edge of comfort in regards to the carpet, bedspread, etc. The surfaces [tub, toilet, etc] were very clean.

Staff is great right across st from cc pretty young lady will greet you. Rooms r clean try Boiled eggs & toast for breakfasts

Best priced hotel in Roanoke! It was bare bones minimum, a little bit dated, but for the most part clean. If you just need a place to crash and you're trying to save some money, this is the place to stay.

we only stayed there 1 night. we were at the martinsville race on sunday and we stayed here sunday night because the trip home was too long. the pillows were flat as pancakes, the bathroom fan rattled so bad we thought it was going to fly apart. the only good thing about this hotel was that it was near a sheetz and gas was .40 cents cheaper than at home.

The room needed a lot of normal maintenance work done and was very noisy all night long; people talking and hollering and doors slaming. It was a very conveniently located place.

A good price for a nights stay. However the room was small and lacking the typical necessities...A hair dryer, iron and board, an alarm clock. Would stay again but remember to bring my own.

This place needs some refreshing. It's old and looks it. Bed was clean and area wasn't noisy.

OK Place to stay for the price, location is good but is noisy. Room was clean and smoke free.

Went to a breakfast, as a guest, at the Roanoke Hotel. Very nice. Toured the Railroad museum,Very nice. After leaving and going East, we toured the "D" day memorial, Very mooving. All in All a great trip Thanks

I got the room based on price and its location across from the Civic Center. The experience was a good one, although my friend had trouble with the air conditioner/heater. Breakfast was kind of disappointing - not much variety.

Our experience at this hotel was exactly what we expected. We did not want to spend alot of money on the hotel because we knew we would not be spending alot of time there. The staff was very nice to us. The room was clean it just had a weird smell to it. The location was great right off of the highway, and there were many different types of restuarants to choose from. All and all it was an enjoyable stay

The Roadway Inn Roanoke Va. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to any other than a trucker despite to sleep in a facility other than their truck. I traveled 4 four hours from Newport, News Va. and was highly disappointed when first entering the lobby and it reeked from cigarette smoke. The saga continued when I opened my hotel room door and spied the carpet. Not once did I allow my bare feet to touch the floor. I walked in socks or slippers. The carpet was soiled and sticky in areas. One of my beds was misshapen, with a fabric lump that couldn't be flattened. People spoke loudly outside my room door all night. All night I heard the wind down of trucks, and eighteen wheelers as they drove by breaking down gears. It was God awful. Some idiot knocked on my door, when I looked out the window, he realized he had the wrong door, no apology, just turned and walked away. I would not recommend this hotel.
