And 2 double beds Freezer disgusting, mold in bathroom , room smell to mold and was not clean , looked at room next door there was hair in tub

Decent basic lodging with standard amenities. Good value for the money.

The hotel was old and outdated the carpet was dirty needed to be changed or steam cleaned the bathroom was old. And the tile was paint over cracks in the fiberglass tub. The staff tried to be pleasant but the over experience was not pleasant.

This is a good place if you just need a quick overnight stay close to the airport, but the place is nothing fancy. Not for a family trip, guests were drinking beer in the parking lot getting loud.

dirty, moldy, had to get sheets changed and could not walk on carpet without shoes. Management was friendly

It was not clean. Staffs were kind. I was not happy for the bathroom because it was not clean.

Cheap rate. And facility showed it. Room had odor. Tub looked dirty.

The hotel was clean but needs a bit of renovation.

THEY CHANGED THE NAME OF THE HOTEL BUT DIDNT DO ANY UPGRADES. OUR ROOM SMELLED MUSTY (WE HAD TO SPRAY TO WALK IN) THE TUB AND BATHROOM WERE DIRTY AND NASTY. I HAD TO GO TO SOMEONES HOUSE TO TAKE A SHOWER. I'VE NEVER STAYED IN SUCH A NASTY ROOM.

First off website has wrong address and phone number. The bathroom was not that clean

THE SERVICE IS SO GREAT AND WELCOMING. GREAT LITTLE HOTLE

So glad we only had to stay in this hotel one night. Room was dirty, other peoples food in the refrigerator, hair in the bottom of the bathtub, no towels in room when we checked in. Dead roaches in the carpet, trash cans had previous occupants disposed kleenex, non smoking room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Will never stay here again, pay a little more and get a nicer room.

The place had an odor that made me feel uncomfortable. There was plastered patchwork that was not painted. The carpet looked and felt dirty The shower drain did not work well. They did not provide us a wake up call on the 2nd day in which we overslept and almost missed an important appointment. It's hard to believe this is the standard for a Howard Johnson hotel.

Hotel needs an upgrade. Room was Dirty, bedspread had cig. burns in it. There was a 3in gap under the front door? Only stayed 1 night and moved to another hotel. Not really close to anything. Maybe 10min drive to airport. They did help me refund 2 nights prepayed.

I frequently stay at lower cost hotels - and typically am able to weed through the reviews by disgruntled customers to pick a decent, clean, but no frills place to sleep. Missed this sweet spot by booking with this hotel. The room as truly nasty - heavy cobwebs in all corners, spider on the wall when we came in, mildew on most surfaces in the bathroom, cigarette burns in the sheets on our non-smoking room bed. You could see clearly on the top of the TV cabinet where someone had swiped a greasy rag through the dense dust. If I had not been at the end of a long day and checking in at 12 midnight I would have left to find another place to stay. I won't be back.

I was delighted to find this HoJo at this price. I got no more nor less than I expected for the money. I'll stay here again if I have the chance.

I guess this hotel is ok for the price. I was in town visiting for Labor Day weekend. The location was convenient....not too far from downtown Roanoke. The front desk associate was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice plus (besides the cracked and chipped plaster). Of course, the pictures on website look so much better than the actual hotel/rooms. I'm glad they had wireless internet and HBO. The main issue for me was the old carpet in the room. As soon as I walked through the door, I had a terrible allergy attack. I began sneezing and hacking until I left the room. It would attribute it to mold and dust. I had the feeling that I shouldn't walk around with bare feet. It would be a good idea to have a vent in the bathrooms, so as to cut down on the mold. Also, the breakfast was very disappointing. There was a small assortment of cereal, which tasted stale. There was a gallon of milk sitting next to the cereal dispenser. Who knows how long that milk had been sitting there? Shouldn't milk be kept refrigerated? It would be better for them not to offer breakfast than to offer a sad, pathetic breakfast. I saw the disappointment on the faces of other guests. If you're looking for a cheap place for the night, this place might be ok.

Phone did not work, one of the boards on the bed was broken, and was hard to close the door all the way.

Was there for a wedding

Horrible - Rooms were dirty, smelly and staff was rude.
