Great place and amazing staff.

My first trip to Playa and this stay was okay. This hotel had many nice offerings and I would say the pools and food were pretty good - but I would not repeat my experience.

Stayed here while visiting Mexico for our first time. This is a nice property although it was hit or miss with the friendliness of the staff. The majority of them were great, but some of them just seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The towel situation in the room was odd as our room had four towels for three people and no wash cloths, while the people traveling with us only had three towels for four people, and one wash cloth and were told they couldn’t get another towel. As others have said, the nicer restaurants were virtually impossible to get into. Out of the five nights we were there we were able to get into three sit down restaurants. The beach was beautiful with plenty of seating.

Not enough storage in the rooms. The food wasn't very good and what food they served never varied. It was the exact same for 7 days.

We enjoyed the beach, pools, entertainment & amenities. The drinks were always flowing. Bartenders very nice as was all the staff. Some information was misleading by the greeting personnel. The buffet food was a bit bland for our taste and was never warm enough for us.

Love the entertainment! Will definitely go back again!

I stayed a week with kids. The beach was lovely. The food and drinks were terrible. Even the mixed drinks were undrinkable. We expected delicious Mexican food but it was mostly processed and frozen foods. Not as photographed. Breakfast was fine. There was a smoothie cafe and that wasn’t bad. We ended up walking to town daily to eat lunch and dinner. You can only ride the bikes in the Playacar neighborhood and they are rusted garbage. Not as photographed. The amenities are ok but not all available. There was a fun ceramic painting hut, we painted Mexican style plates, bowls and a wall hanging sun. That was fun. The housekeeper knocked on the door every morning around 8 even with the “do not disturb” sign on the door handle. She would pound on the door and walk in. There is no coffee maker in the room. If you like a cup in your pjs your are SOL. The taxi to the hotel is about $35 but when you leave they charge you $70. I was charged twice for room tax because I threw away receipt not knowing I had to save it. We gone to Mexico several times and in general, love our trips. This was first all inclusive hotel and the last. The staff minus the housekeeper were very nice.

Overall good, loved our room which we were able to walk right out on to the beach. Maid service was great, very clean and left fun towel animals for us. Food is not available 24/7, and they don’t tell you until arrival that you can only eat at the regular dining restaurants 2x during your stay and only if you can find availability on their app, but the buffet was pretty good. Check in is very very slow and getting assistance for issues was very difficult. Pool access only 8am-8pm.

It was.my first at resorr all inclusive, I totally loved it

Staff was not accommodating, called to try to pay for early check in as we were in at 7am. They made us wait till 3 after they had told me the soonest would be 1. Also you need to use the app to reserve dinner reservations we stayed for one week and nothing was available till the Friday night when we left. If you are not a VIP Member you are not treated the same. (time share member) they will try and sell you a membership. Have stayed at bigger and smaller resorts in cancun /playcar and have never had such a horrible experience as this. WOULD NOT RECOMEND AT ALL.

The food was excellent and the staff was so friendly, everything was really great!

We were actually moved to azteca under the misleading info that it was a upgrade..it is not a upgrade its smaller by alot.

Stayed more than a week for the second consecutive year. The food sucks. The bedding will destroy your back and your day. The entertainment was mediocre! The Only positive thing about this resort is the staff.
