Pro's - Excellent food all the time everywhere, Rooms (junior suite) very nice, most staff, all pools, entire beach, etc... excellent. Adult only the way to go. Romantic dinner on beach (extra) and spa extra worth it. Con's - Institutionalized high pressure (time share-like) sales pressure from the RECEPTION DESK! They turn you over to people under guise of explaining coupons. Then want you to go to other resorts for free this or that for locking you into their resorts! Not cool!. Suggest just say no to coupons they were not very useful anyway. Manager in Asian restaurant was snobby, rude and a jerk. They shut down the elevators in the room building (at least two I know of) saying they are saving energy so climb stairs up 4 floors. not so in more expensive room buildings. Not competitive. Every restaurant on immediate expensive up-sell. The included service and food is excellent. Up-sells like wines are over priced. I've traveled globally as an executive in a Fortune 10 company for 30 years so have many comparables.

Overall pretty good. Some service issues. Plus there was a fire in the kitchen which shut down two dining rooms for 4 days. They improvised and did pretty good.

We really enjoyed our stay the room was huge and "ocean view" had an ocean view. The restaurants were great, food and staff were awesome. Bed was comfortable and the staff set up flowers and Anniversary banner on the door when we arrived. Overall one of the better places we have stayed. No children was a bonus. The only bad thing was there is no dinner buffet option which would have been a good break from sitting and ordering every night. Couldn't snorkel at the beach which was a bummer but not the hotels fault.

My wife and I stayed here with 2 other couples for 4 days recently and cannot say enough about this resort. The grounds were immaculate, the pools were crystal clear... The food was excellent as were the drinks. Honestly, I didn't expect such variety and quality from a resort in this price range; I would have expected it at much costlier places. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and friendly. My only "gripe" if you will is that there could have been more consistency in how the room was cleaned and/or turned-down in the evening. Sometimes they refilled the mini-bar, sometimes not... sometimes we had a schedule of the next day's events and sometimes not. Sometimes we had 6 wash-clothes and no hand-towels... Things like that. NONE OF THAT affected our stay or this review in anyway what-so-ever. You will not be disappointed.

Secrets promotes this resort as top quality w/exceptional service. Absolutely NOT accurate! Facility is older and not well maintained, unfriendly staff (possibly unhappy), terrible food (not fresh) buffets are not replenished and staff is hard to find for beverages and clearing old plates, minimal music at main pool unless water aerobics or water volleyball going on. Understaffed in general. If you are looking for a resort with great atmosphere, unlimited quality food with exceptional customer service, this is NOT the resort for you! Look elsewhere!

We loved everything. If I could change one thing it would be the door to the toilet. No privacy.

My girlfriend and I needed a quick, relaxing getaway to warm, sunny Mexico and we wanted to stay at an all-inclusive resort for adults only. We found the ideal resort--Secrets SilverSands Riviera Cancun. It's a gorgeous, medium sized modern facility with extremely spacious rooms, delicious food, and the most warm and friendly staff.

Beautiful resort loved the staff, food, and room. Entertainment staff very fun and engaging. Will definitely stay at silver sands again next year

Second time to this resort. Great beach walks. Good food. Our only complaint is they are not accommodating to groups of 8 or more.

We have been at Cabos for 4 times. This is our first time travel to Cancun. The hotel we stay is very clean and very continent. Plan to go again.

I researched a lot of the reviews before choosing this resort. I would say they are very accurate: friendly staff (Filipe and Mayra definitely stood out among the rest). The beach is rocky in spots but plenty that is soft. On days that there is rough sea a lot of seaweed washed up but they do a great job of keeping the beach clean. I especially liked the endless options for pools, if you wanted a quiet spot to read or if you wanted to be entertained there was plenty of options for both! Something we didn't discover till the end of our trip is that there is a sushi bar inside the Asian restaurant!

The property is welcoming and the staff and dining is top notch. The rooms are in need of TLC. Our first room was older and when we let the staff know they quickly moved us to a better location.

Excellent pools, beautiful property, amazing spa, and the beach was extremely peaceful

Good food, preferred was a waste of money. Room was not what I thought. They try to get u to visit properties to buy time shares but don't tell u .

My friend and I went for 6 days and were pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price. We had a lower level garden view room so basically the cheapest they have and it was still nice, clean, modern, and close to everything at the resort. There were tons of pools that all had different vibes. If you like to party the main pool is the place to be, however if you want to read a book and relax there are plenty of quiet peaceful spots as well. We never left the resort and wished we had a few more days when it was time to go. We would go back or visit this or another Secrets resort!

We were greeted with sparkling wine upon arrival. After check-in we met with a representative that gave us a brief overview of the property and amenities. We did not have high expectations of the food; being at Mexican All-inclusives before. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional. The staff loves their jobs and it shows with the way they attend to each guests requests. Beware: local vendors allowed to sell trinkets and knick-knacks on the property. The same items the resort sells in their gift shops are sold by Street Vendorsn on the property. However, the pushiness, sketchiness and price gowging of these vendors are the issue. A shark-tooth necklace in giftshop $6, same necklace from vendors $24. Stay Away! Visit Elvia and Guadelupe in the coffee shop, they are a true delight. Much like everyone else they strive to completely serve and satisfy the needs of the guests. Rooms were modern and swanky. Felt like a Malibu beach house. Ceramic tile throughout, bathroom was huge, double walk-in shower with bench. The small extra door for ROM service orders was an awesome feature used everyday. Beach was remarkable, but rocky. Riverea Maya is all coral so water shoes are a must to save your feet in the ocean. Cannot wait to go back and was so sad to head back home to a cold and rainy Michigan March.

Enjoyed the location, staff and fellow patrons. Was separated from the spring breakers, a good thing. Room could use some TLC. Good was great. Would recommend.

The entire staff was awesome! Isais, bartender at the swim-up pool bar, was our favorite. The entertainment crew (Miguel, Juan, Xavi) made every day fun, even just lounging by the pool. Activities during the day, shows at night, live bands, etc...something for everyone. Definitely didn't expect the food to be good at an all-inclusive but it was actually fantastic. Everything was incredibly clean, from the restaurants to the pools to the lobby and of course the hotel rooms. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Had a great family trip, the staff went out of their way to welcome us and make our stay very enjoyable. They had daily entertainment from participation games, to group exercise to great music productions. The food, wine and liquor were top shelf and wait staff make the dining experience memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and romantic. Look forward to another opportunity to visit a Secrets resort.

Wonderful experience. Was both very relaxing and eventful at the same time. You could easily relax by the pool - or play a pick up game of volleyball. Excellent staff/waiters were abundant and always ensuring you had everything you needed (drinks, towels, food, etc...) Super fun and entertaining events team (Juan, Esteffi, Gibran, Ana Banana) were a joy to be around. Very energetic and playful/joking to make all the guest feel comfortable and appreciated. The comradely between them showed how much they enjoyed their jobs. Multiple themed restaurants (French, Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, Seafood, Hibachi), multiple pools and multiple bars made for a wonderful selection. Head to the main pool for fun activities or relax at one of the other 7 separate pools for peace and quiet. Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice walk-in shower and Jacuzzi-style tub. Double sinks for him/her. Only complaint is the lack of a fan in the bathroom. We were always greeted with a Hola or Buenos Dias by ALL staff members (maintenance, waiters, groundskeepers, receptionists, management, etc...) Will definitely return to Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun in the near future. Price paid for our stay with airfare was outstanding - an the top-notch service we experienced was more than we hoped for. Stayed October 2015, traveled as a couple
