nice hotel, quite, right in the middle of playa only complaint was the hot water-very sketchy but i think i would return the price was reasonable also food at restaurant good breakfast was included

The concept is awesome, I like the hotel but need a lot of maintenance, we had to call front desk 4 times, shower head didnt work first day, no running water on second day for hours, A/C broke on day 3 at midnight and rooms get hot fast. We had open bar but at night when they switch shift the service stops. But again, the hotel is so cool that I will go back.

Great decor, very modern, excellent staff, internet speed sucks and only works in the lobby.

This hotel is amazing let's start by saying free breakfast morning from 8am to 12pm. Also free drinks from 12pm to 12am and I don't mean bad cheap drinks they make really good drinks ( good alcohols). The hotel is so hip and designed amazing. Roof top pool and bar is nice. The only complaint is the walls are a little thin and can be kinda loud with music and neighbors.

Stayed here with some friends of a few nights over the Easter holiday weekend. Very good location, close to everything you'd want to visit in Playa, including the beach. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and the staff are excellent. However, the hotel itself is a bit cheesy. Not sure what theme they're going for but lots of pipes, red lights, and female mannequins in prison cells. Overall, not bad for the price and since we spent so little time at the hotel, it was all good.

It was a good experience. The room was nice, clean, the staff was very friendly. It's located in the middle of everything. I really did enjoy my stay. The only complain that I have, is that I expected the water bottles to be replaced daily and to have tea in the room. But other than that it I probably would stay here again.

excelent location, good stuff, but the cooler didnt work, so we have to move an other room

nice hotel, nice staff, ang good food, so close to night life and shooping

The RR reminds me of the unusual and funky Kimpton hotels. It is decked out like a Clockwork Orange night club, without any noise or evil characters. The garden rooftop is a trip and a fantastic place to catch some sun or shade. Staff were attentive and their English is perfect. For our eclectic tastes it sure beats the resorts, and is a good value. A short walk to the beach and the Playa promenade. Free underground parking. I'm going back.

The hotel is in a prime location - just around the corner from 5ta avenida which makes walking to restaurants, beaches, shopping etc. a breeze. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The decor is funky, unique, and very red. It's certainly a sexy place catered to an adult crowd. On the downside, during party nights, the noise level can make it hard to sleep. And the pool area, while quite cool, isn't really suitable for "swimming".

Positive experience. Attentive staff, great location and modern design. Constant low level background music but not a bother as others have indicated. Appears to be a party hotel but was very quiet the week I was there. Great place for the price.

When i picked this hotel the reservation said free buffet breakfast that was a lie there's no buffet.. The service and the room cleanliness is good...

The hotel room was Huge!! We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was huge and the best part about it was the shower/bathroom! The hotel was located right off 5th ave which doesn't get any better as that's where all the food and shopping is! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks

The Reina Roja is only half a block from the vibrant street of 5th Ave. We wanted a hotel close to the strip without having to take a cab to and from our hotel and that is exactly what we got. This hotel is NOT on the beach but it is affiliated with a few hotels that are so you can go to the affiliated hotels and get a beach chair and towel for free. The beach hotels are all walking distance. The staff was very nice and mostly all spoke English. I asked for an iron and one was delivered within 5 minutes! There is music playing every night in the lobby (that we enjoyed) but if you go to bed early this will interrupt you sleep since the music can be heard slightly in all rooms. We were in room 308 and heard the music but it did not bother us since we were out all night every night and did not return to hotel till way past 2am. The beers are about $2.50-3.00 a piece depending on brand. I would recommend this hotel to a younger crowd that plans on being up late every night as we were.

Great place, great location for the right price. the idea of this trip was to party 24/7 and have a great experience this hotel suits great for that purpose.

We really enjoyed the pool area with both the bar and pool opening till late. Location is good! rooms are very clean and confortable. gret value for money totally recommend it

Couldnt beat this place for a sexy getaway to playa. Staff were profesional and room was kept immaculate. Beatiful rooms with all marble rain showers. Clean spacious. If you get a room above the first floor bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping before 0300. The rooftop parties do thump a bit. First floor rooms are plenty insulated from it though. Delicious breakfast included? ?? Amazing value. Walk to beach in 10 minutes easy. They even gave us beach club passes that got us a bed and umbrella in paradise! Go there already you wont regret it.

At first it was a little bit hard to digest, because of the concept of the hotel. but it is really awesome once you get used to it :) There is always good music playing in the lobby.. and birds singing at the halls... I liked it :)

The entire hotel leaks!. A heavy rain storm fell the day day of our stay and our and a few more rooms started leaking heavily, as for the lobby and corridors. The entire hotel was flooded. We had all out belonging soaked in wet, incluiding leather wallet and electronics. Our camera STOPPED working, the "manager" took it for repair but DIDN'T get it to work, so we just had to leave to get back to the US and he hasn't even bother in contacting us to apologize, neither to send us a replacement,. HOTEL: poorly constructed, leaks STAFF: useless, inept

The delux rooms at the RR are very spacious and the bathrooms with the walk in showers are fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff helpful, and the decor very unusual (in a good way). If you want boring, try a Hilton! The hotel is centrally located and close to the beach, but a 20min walk to the ferry or bus if you are trying to save money and walk. I would definitely go back. Only negative for me was the manequins on the balconies...took up space and was a bit of overkill. Otherwise great.
