95 meter long pool, wow, close to town even closer to the beach. We stayed in surf 103. Very clean, new paint and ac units. Big screen TV. Large fridge with ice maker. The large barbecue was a bonus Unit came with 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas, even had a stroller for toddlers. There is a modern gym on site. Perfect for families.
There is nothing like Paseo Del Sol. This is the third time we stayed here and it just seems to get better each time. As good as the property is, probably the best thing about it is the staff. We were greeted by Ivonne and she was so helpful. Just so nice. She showed us everything we needed to know about the condo and was always available when we had questions. Even the stupid ones. She made us feel like family and seemed more like a friend than someone we were doing business with. But it doesn't stop there. We had a slight problem with condo that needed repair and Galvan promptly came and repaired it. He also was so nice and helpful and before he left, he asked us was there any thing else he could do for us. As I say, the staff is a large part of what makes this place number one.
Stayed for 1 week three different weeks between January and February of 2017. Loved every beautiful unit but our favorite was "Cenote 104". Yvonne was an energetic, caring, helpful represents we had the pleasure to meet. We hope to work with her again soon. She made our stay special with our grandchildren.
We spent 2 wonderful weeks in a two-bedroom condo (308) at Paseo Del Sol. The space was exactly as pictured. It was comfortable with lots of natural light and a shady veranda. The kitchen was well equipped and the showers were spacious with plenty of hot water. There is convenient access to a washer and dryer. We were there over Christmas and while the condo/hotel was busy we never found it overly noisy. The best sound was the children’s laughter in the afternoon while they played in the gorgeous, generous pool. The staff was outstanding! Always friendly. Ivonne, the concierge/ambassador was a delight. She always seemed to be enjoying her work and her guests. She knew the area and her recommendations were very good. The men at the driveway gate who greeted us whenever we came in or left were always courteous and helpful and they provided a sense of security. The lobby was clean and welcoming and the grounds were very well cared for and inviting. The pool was pristine and the plentiful lounge chairs were clean and comfortable. I must specifically mention our housekeeper, Yoli. We enjoyed Gulf swimming almost daily, sometimes more, so there were lots of showers, towels and although we attempted to be careful, we could not help but bring in sand and dust. The floors and other surfaces always seemed free of sand or any kind of dirt. It made our time relaxing in the apartment while barefoot very comfortable. The entire neighborhood is clean, safe and friendly. It is an easy 3 Kilometer walk to one end of 5th Avenue with shops, restaurants and entertainment galore. In the opposite direction it’s about 1 Kilometer to a small Playacar village with shops. Just by walking out to the Paseo del Sol front gate you will have almost immediate access to a taxi. The one drawback for our group was beach access. We were told by our booking company that we would have daily free access to the beach and chairs. At best it was an exaggeration, at worst, simply untrue. You do have a Paseo del Sol card that you can take to The Reef resort across the street, but they only allow a certain number of slots per day, and they are on a first come, first serve basis, and there is often a waiting line. The access was restricted to 9 am-5pm with people lined up well before 9 and even if there were slots available it was not possible for a sunrise or sunset on the beach through this system. There is a public path to the beach less than a block from Paseo del Sol and that became our preferred access. It’s a lovely walk, but it is not well marked and the path is a dirt and rocky one that is not easily navigable past dusk and awkward if you are carrying chairs. Because of stairs and tree roots I think it would be impossible for a wheelchair or someone with mobility issues to use. I stress, we greatly enjoyed our experience at Paseo del Sol, but if easy and anytime walking access to the Gulf is important you might need to rethink other options.
Coral 305 managed be BRIC with onsite representation Ivonne, BRIC's onsite ambassador, is full of energy and so efficient, they is nothing she can not do for you. Galvan, onsite maintenance mgr., is prompt and cheerful and Lulu cleans like it is her own home. Cheers to All BRIC staff. Coupled with the condo association's security and exterior/grounds maintenance stag the experience is of complete luxury. The pool is uniquely over 250 feet long with ample room to lounge. The gym and tennis court have been updated and the grounds are splendid. A 10 minute walk to the beach through a small archeological site makes the stay at Paseo del Sol such a rich experience.
Spent one week at Paseo Del Sol. 305 Reef is a penthouse unit with its own private deck above unit accessed by a spiral staircase. Was great for BBQ and entertaining. Unit was furnished with all we needed. This place is staffed to the tens and we were treated great by all. The front desk concierge Ivonne who is employed by Bric Vacation Rentals was the best I’ve experienced in all my years of traveling. She speaks fluid English and can and will find anything for you that’s needed. Her recommendation for dinner were the best. She recommended great restaurants of different cuisine each one better then the last. While there my wife’s sister broke her ankle and Ivonne took care of things professionally and also made sure all her doctors and hospital bills were reimbursed seeing the accident was on the stairs of the property. The grounds and pool area were immaculate. Would recommend Paseo Del Sol to anyone traveling to the Mayan Riviera.
Just returned from a one week vacation with my family ( 2 kids , 8 & 18). We were in poolside condo 108 and what a treat!!! This was our first time doing the condo thing and not all inclusive, I was abit apprehensive mostly about security, but the minute we arrived I knew we made the right choice. The condo is located on a quiet serene road, sitting on my patio every morning listening to the birds was a nice treat that you wouldn't get at a noisy all- inclusive resort. The condo is a 20 minute walk from all the restaurants and stores you could ever need. My 8 year old daughter did this walk every day, sometimes twice a day, very nice walk. The condo has everything you ever need, laundry, coffee pot, iron, BBQ, towels , even some basics in the kitchen ( if you arrive late like us 11pm)to get you through until you go to the Mega ( Mexican Walmart) to get your supplies. Last but not least , I have to say the staff were AMAZING!!!! Not being a resort, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. There is always security on site. Someone is always around to help, although you don't get house keeping daily like a resort , the ladies are there and will get you what you need. Ok, so not having been there , we weren't sure what we were going to do and how to go about setting things up, let me say that IVONNE our Brik representative was SOOOO AWESOME. Ivonne went above and beyond the call of duty ( even on her day off , calling , helping texting us/) she arranged a car rental for us , which was easy peasey! She set up the most amazing snorkel tour from Cozumel for us. She literally spent hours helping us organize our short stay. Very Very helpful, our stay would not have been so successful and enjoyable without Ivonne's help. We will be back next year! Just for Longer!!!
This was our first time doing the condo thing. We have been coming to Playacar for many years (10) and have always done the all inclusive. We thought we would give the condo a try as we are in our early 50s and wanting to do this when we retire. We rented Coral 204 along with two of our friends. We were only there one week but it was the best experience ever. Coral 204 is a three bedroom, two bathroom condo with a massive living, dining and kitchen area. The owner has TVs in two of the bedrooms with a large TV in the living room. All have satellite. The balcony is equipped with a propane BBQ. The kitchen has an oven, stove and fridge with ice maker. This condo also has a washer and dryer with was really useful when coming back from the pool or beach. There is a water cooler with water provided for the length of your stay. We brought our own spices and hand soap as well as any type of Canadian item we thought they would not sell in Mexico. The pool is very large and very warm and we never had to fight for a chair. The beach is only a 10 minute walk from the condo. We walked to Playa del Carmen along the beach a few times during our stay. It was wonderful! You can also walk to Playa del Carmen alongside the road. It is about 15 to 20 minutes away. It's a nice walk in the morning before it gets too hot. The security guard will get you a taxi any time you need one. Walmart is about a 30 minute walk (which we did a few times) and has the best variety of food. We took a taxi home with the bags of groceries. You can grab a taxi as you come out of Walmart. Very easy and very fast! Ivonne is the Bric representative that will help you with anything you need. She is located in the lobby during the day. She is super nice and super helpful. We hope to be back to Paseo del Sol in the future.
We have been staying for 5 weeks in condo Reef 204 in March 2017. The condo is so beautiful with a direct view on the 90 meters pool! It has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms very nicely decorated! But what made the perfect vacation for us, it is her manager, Carla Kaser,.... she's a gem! Prompt and professional service, very polite and well educated and always ready to help us. When we needed something, the next day we had it and she speaks French, English and many others languages! Many thanks Carla... you are the best!!
Just returned from 6 weeks at Paseo del Sol..This was our third stay at Paseo and our second renting through Bric. They are very professional to deal with, from the online reservations to checking out. Yvonne, the Bric Ambassador at Paseo is a breath of fresh air...always willing to help with whatever question you might have...always with a smile and an answer. We like the quiet location of this complex, the meandering pool and walks. It is within walking distance of 5th Ave and taxis are readily available. Would recommend it.
