We had a good time here, we just had a couple of hiccups. We flew red-eye & when we got to the resort, they informed us that they would do their best to get us a room as soon as one became available. We left for breakfast and returned back to the reception area to check on status. We were informed that check in was at 3p.m. & that we would have to wait. Another couple that was with us was in the same situation as we were, but he was much more aggressive about getting a room and it seemed that the reception person tried harder to find them an available room. I asked my husband to be a bit more pushy & she told us that she would try. She came back & offered us a room sooner if we upgraded $400 more & if we didn't upgrade it was a guarantee of a wait til 3p.m. We were so tired that we decided to upgrade & pay $400 to get a room asap. This was how our vacation started which put a sour taste in my mouth. The other thing is that the main pool is not heated, super cold if you go in Feb. If we had paid an additional $500 on top of $400 for Royal we would have had access to heated pool. We have traveled to the Cancun area many times & this is the 1st experience we have had where the pool is cold, the reason I go to Mexico, besides the beach, is to enjoy the pool. The rest of the amenities in the resort are lovely, the staff was great, but I don't think I would go there again. I don't feel that we should pay extra for a warm pool. That would be a change I would make, to come back.

Paradisus La Perla Best all inclusive resort. We have been all over the Caribbean and islands. Top of the line Meila group. Worth every penny.

First off don't believe the weather forecast! Predicted 60-80% chance of rain everyday and we had a week of sunshine. The staff are fantastic with a hundred "my pleasures" a day from them all. Highly recommend the swim out suite. Passion Restaurant is not to be missed even with the very big price tag. World class one of our best meals ever. Of the regular restaurants Fuego is best and you must ask for Hector's tables. He is such a wonderful waiter we went back again just to sit in his section. Great food especially the rack of lamb. The basic common review you will see of this place is the watered down drinks. That is absolutely true but they are still tasty. My biggest gripe is the house wine choices are very very poor. And if you think about ordering a better wine the up charge prices are at least double any restaurant in the States for the exact same wine. Other than that this place is first class and we would not hesitate to go again.

The hotel was great, the only problem we had was that I wanted two beds and the room that we got only had one. I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival by email and via orbitz and no one told me the room category I had didn’t offer that option. They offered me an upgrade for $600. Besides that the hotel was great, food and service were great as well.

We went for 4 days. We were greeted with an upgraded room for free and a welcome cocktail. Food was excellent. This usually makes or breaks an all inclusive and I was impressed with every meal that we had while we were there. For dinner we ate at The Market, Bana, The Grill and La Palapa (listed by ranking of how I enjoyed each). The pool had its strong and weak points. The staff was excellent. Anytime we needed something they were there. The swim up bar is great and they played music most of the time we were there. My weak points were that the pool should have been heated as it was too cold for most of us to go in and I would have appreciated more activities like volleyball or water polo in the pool. We hung out at the red lounge at night which was great atmosphere for drinking and dancing. We enjoyed the music that they played. I used the gym facility which had top of the line equipment and I believe was open 24 hours. The alcohol selection was great as it had high end liquors and beer included with the package. Pinot Grigio was an upcharge which I thought was very odd and would be one of my only complaint.

This place is amazing! The cleanliness, staff, food, drinks, room! Everything about the place was excellent! Not one complaint! The New Years Eve bash was awesome! If you go here and don’t like it, you are just one of those people who can’t be pleased! I even lost hearing aids at the party, I reported it the next day, & Bammm the day after I reported the loss, someone found them, & turned them into security & return to me! Next time we’re getting the Royal Service!!

Overall an amazing hotel. Most staff are excellent. Great food and restaurants. Large and modern rooms. Beautiful grounds. Fun live entertainment. New Year’s Eve party was cool. On site BD travel booked great tours. Now The bad: mole restaurant was absolutely terrible, pool is cold & no jacuzzi, if you are going to have rules enforce them- on multiple occasions kids were running around the adults only side & dress code rules are not followed at restaurants, in some areas you can hear multiple songs playing at once, Djs weren’t great. I personally was misled by lobby staff in regards to my airport shuttle pick up, it created a bit of a disaster as I left. With that said a lot of the bad is nitpicking, this resort is a few fixes away from absolutely perfection!

The food is amazing and the hotel is clean and beautiful. It is annoying they will only allow you to have one towel per person.

We loved our stay. The facilities were clean and beautiful, the beach was well maintained and the staff was friendly. We even were upgraded to a premium room upon arrival. The only thing that was strange was that the resort had very limited dinner reservation opening, but on the days we did get reservations the restaurants were only half full. Not sure if this was orchestrated by the resort or not. Luckily there were other restaurants on site that didn't require a reservation and had phenomenal menus. Overall a great experience and will recommend

We recently returned from our first stay with this hotel and I have nothing but positive to share! The staff was not only accommodating but truly pleasant and kind. The dining was exquisite and the service was unparalleled! We spent most of our time on the beach, where we were met on a regular basis with fresh cold water and beverages/snacks. The Suite was clean and regularly restocked and tidied. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Paradisus!

We had an amazing time! The resort was awesome! The resort was so clean everyone treated us like family. The biggest thing for me was that I have a lot of food allergies, and they keep me from traveling a lot. The website said food allergies no problem, so I hoped it wouldn’t be an issue. When we checked in I told them my allergies and they made laminated cards with every allergy on it, to show the restaurants when I got there. At each restaurant they had the chief and server come out and talk to me about food options. They made something special for me eveytime!!!! I have never eaten so well! It made my week non stressful and I loved the food! Every place we ate had amazing food! We miss it already!!! We will defiantly be coming back and I’ll be telling my friends and family about it! We had a couples massage one day, it was so relaxing! I liked that is was adult only, it made i it restful for us. If you have children the resort next store is for families we walked over and checked it out. It looked so fun!

The food, room, service and facility were outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My only negative experience(s)was finding out upon arrival that my room was NOT ready and I'd have to check out and move the next day. 3 hours later I got into my room and then checked out the following morning. I then found out (again) that my new room wasn't ready and had to wait to get into room. Although they did upgrade me to a nicer room and was able to eat & drink at the restaurants located on La Perla side, I still was disappointed because of the multiple inconveniences I experienced. I asked for a free massage and was denied.

I absolutely love it here and can’t wait to go back. We stayed on La Perla Royal Service with a swim up room - a must for us! I love the convenience of the access to our own pool and own sun bed. The food is great. Definitely go to all the specialty restaurants!

My husband and I spent almost a week here for our honeymoon. We had a FANTASTIC time. The food was excellent (way better than other resorts we’ve stayed at), the staff all cheerful and helpful, and the swim up room was so worth it. Everything was clean and gorgeous. We cannot wait to visit this resort again!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was beautiful and very relaxing. The resort was great. I will say they take a while to clean your room each day, but they always did a great job. The beach concierges were so helpful, full of information and brought drinks and snacks at request. We would definitely stay here again!

It was the best expirance for my first trip out the USA

We had an amazing time. The staff was top notch in hospitality and the resort was beautiful. The spa was the place to get away for the day and relax. Do the water ritual!! Amazing! The only negatives were that we arrived just after high season, so not everything on the calendar of events was updated and accurate. Also we wanted an adults only resort and this resort had a kid friendly resort connected to it. So, some of the restaurants were on the kid side as well as some of the activities. Overall, we highly recommend this resort.

We arrived to early to be greeted by any one. We arrived at 7:30am and couldn't check in at 3:00 pm. No problem sat by the pool and started our vacation then. No one tried to up sell us ever. We even tried to add the Royal Service and didn't hear back. We had a great time with out it! They said it $90,00 per person , per day The food is wonderful. The resort is clean and very pretty. The staff was very nice. Loved Nancy at the Mbar. They are very serious about dinner reservations so get yours in early. All the restaurants are very good. Some indoors some outside. The drinks flowed and were tastey Over we had a great time!!

Our vacation at Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla was perfect in every way. The beautiful accommodations, cleanliness, friendly staff, exquisite cuisine, drink selection, as well as the fun activities and nightlife were all first class. I chose the Royal Service upgrade for our stay which was well worth the extra $. Our wonderful and friendly butler, Alma was very accommodating of all our requests, especially my requests for a few “secret special things” to be put into place so that I could ask the woman of my dreams to marry me while we were there! My beautiful fiancée, Karen and I are thrilled to announce that we got engaged at La Perla on the 21st night of September 2017! Thank you very much to everyone at La Perla for making our vacation and our engagement all the more special. It is a trip that we will remember forever! :-)

The resort was nice. Clean rooms with friendly staff in all aspects except one gentleman with a smirky aditude at the front desk. Excellent waitresses at the restaurants which served mediocre food. Typical watered down drinks throughout the resort bars which is typical for these kinds of resorts to my experiences. This is a nice, clean and safe resort. 5 minute cab ride to 5th avenue made it a nice location. We had an awesome vacation.
