Very nice Hotel . The only thing hotel beach had so many see weeds so we couldn’t use the beach when we were there at Spring break in first week of April. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend*****

Hotel was AMAZING from check in to leave. Food, drinks, and service were top notch! Only hick up was they had no rooms with king beds ready upon arrival but switched our room the next day. Manuel at the Sunset/Adult pool was AMAZING. Had drinks in our hand before we even finished the last one. Almost must request Alberto at Mole! He is the happiest/friendliest guy you will ever meet. Type of guy that will make your vacation. Service is really A++++

We were disappointed to find that the room didn’t have a microwave oven to heat babies bottles which made it extremely hard. We were told that if we were to upgrade to a one bedroom suite for an extra $280 per night that those rooms had microwaves. Even with a 10 month old baby they wouldn’t budge on helping us out with a spare one. 3 out of 6 nights the restaurants were all booked which only allowed us access to the buffet which was another major disappointment.

The hotel was very modern and the food was great . People were very friendly we had beach access from a walking distance. My only criticism would be that they needed more staff, room service more clean, a heated pool and our super shuttle from arrival took forever to take us to hotel. There was a lot of confusion going on with the hotel restaurant reservation so we only got to try 1 restaurant (Mole) which was ok, the buffet were better. I loved that they had 2 buffet restaurants and that they changed up the.

Excellent staff. Good Very good Buy not the best. I Found Hair 3 times in breakfast. Photo session Very good bit expensive. Masagge not what I expected, I slept in what it was supposed it was a sport and intensive massage!!!!!

We just returned from 14 nights in a 2-bedroom master suite. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is great! The pools are freezing! I have a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old who couldn't swim most days in the pool without blue lips. We finally found a heated pool on day 4 and was immediately kicked out. They said it was only for families, well what the heck are we?!?! They said we can have access to the pool for $80USD a day per person, seriously? There are 6 of us, that is $480 a day just to swim in a warm pool. The beach is way too small and has rocks everywhere! There are never any lounge chairs or 'beds' available to sit on because they get reserved with towels the night before. If you want a known alcohol brand, such as Don Julio or Gray Goose, they cost more. You cannot have seafood plates without extra cost, unless it is the cold fish at the buffet. The a la carte restaurants we ate at were fabulous but required reservations made days prior. It is horrible to be on vacation and know that you must rush back to get ready for dinner because all they had available was a 5:30 reservation. If you try to change you are sent to the buffet, which was awful! I would NEVER come back to this resort. We paid over $12,000 for the 2 weeks and were VERY disappointed. Another thing that they never told me was that the “included” room service cost $5USD per order, because we had a 2-bedroom suite our charge was $10USD each time. Ridiculous!!! Go to Azul Fives instead, they are amazing!

There are few really great things about that hotel and some not-so-great. So I'll just post my observations bellow. - The staff is very friendly and helpful! - Waiters at restaurants are extremely diligent! - The beach is being kept in a good condition (clean of weeds, but rocky). - Kids club is awesome: 9am-9pm, gives parents an opportunity to relax in the evenings. The also have a lot of activities for kids. - Kids love fish/turtle ponds. - Rooms were cleaned twice a day! Helps a lot when you go to the beach in the morning - Shows in evenings were average. They were hosted next to a bar - there was no special venue. - Kids pool was very cold in the mornings. We were going straight to the beach because of that. - Great coffee shop on site (make sure you stop by in the morning and in the evening) - Front desk could have informed guests better about amenities and events (we were checked in by a trainee though). - Alcohol (cocktails) in bars is terrible. The only exception is a molecular bar (next to asian restaurant) - there some cocktails are decent. - Restaurant at the beach wasn't good: Just few choices of food and drinks. Beach support team was apparently understaffed - you could wait for your order ~25(soda)-45(food) minutes. - Because the hotel has several tiers of guests - you don't necessarily can use all the features/restaurants of the hotel. For example, there is a separate beach areas for regular/family concierge/exclusive

This is our second time to stay at a Paradisus resort and we have been extremely pleased both times.

Hotel is great, close to the beach and shopping center.

By far - This was the BEST vacation ever! The resort has the best all around for everything.. Food, service, and accommodation! Book with Family Concierge if you are coming with kids, because it is worth it! You will have your own personal "butler" to do everything for you. The resort is extremely clean, and smell great. Thanks to the wonderful people at the Paradisus for making our family vacation memorable. Special thanks to: Antonio, Ivan (bell service), Carlos, Mildred (the Market), Luis (grill sunrise), Cristian (Family Concierge, Verlin and Paulina (Family Concierge butler!!) Honestly you can pick anyone from the resort for a class A+ service.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa de Carmen for 6 days. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are one of the best we have seen at an all inclusive resort. We travel a lot to all inclusive resorts and the friendliness of staff was top tier. We enjoyed our stay, however we were not impressed with some the restaurants, In particular, the Italian restaurant (Olio) had the worst tasting food. Our kids got the Pizza and by far it was the worst pizza they have eaten. We stuck to the Buffets because the food was very good. Overall a very good resort!

A truly amazing experience. We found Utopia and will return soon to take it all in again. Exceptional!

Beach is as advertised - not white sand and clear water - rocky, small beach. Pool was ridiculously crowded - people were up at 6m to reserve spaces. If you got out to any of the pools by 7am most if not all of the spots were taken. We paid for the family concierge section - which overlooked a section of the pool. On two nights, outside of our room, the hotel set up special evening evenings involving loud music and lights. With two young children, we thought we were getting the family section. It was annoying and unprofessional - loud crowds with loud 70s disco music, right outside of our room. After haggling for weeks, I was refunded for one night.

Wow! Where do I begin. It's great for kids and their parents. Many activities for kids to enjoy. Fabulous food, we stayed in a one bedroom suite (the family concierge) with a swim up pool. The beach was a minute from our room (walking distance). The employees were all fabulous in particular Enrique who served the pool from the Sunrise restaurant. He was the one whom waited on us for food and drinks. The whole week we were there. He was very helpful and accommodating. When we could find chairs to sit on by the pool, he went out of his to bring some from elsewhere. He was pleasant and easy going. Our concierge Selene and Jose Reyes were absolutely amazing as well. They made reservations for us, they had treats for our kids everyday, always greeted us with a smile. I recommend this hotel tremendously, specially if you have a family.

Our family group of ten was continually impressed by staff, facilities, food, services, etc. We were greeted by friendly staff wherever we went. The food and service was wonderful at all the restaurants we tried. And the beverages were kept flowing. I could say the entire experience was much better than we had anticipated. Pool and beach experiences were also enjoyed by all. We felt pampered and appreciated by all.

The a/c was horrible in the room. It was unbearably hot in the room at night to the point we couldn't sleep. We complained many times, and were told maintenance would fix it. When maintenance came they told us that the room was cold and there was nothing to fix.

This is a great resort for family vacations. Plenty of things to do for the kids. The food and drinks were great and the staff was wonderful. Our rooms were spacious and everything was easy to get to. We had a great spring break!

The food was great!!! The room was nice. We went with our friends and had a blast.

Overall it was a nice stay but there were a few things that I was not crazy about at this resort. The biggest problem for me was that the buildings were set far back from the beach. I didn't think this would be a huge problem but it really felt like we were not staying by the ocean. You have to walk about 10 or 15 minutes to access the beach because of the manGrove Forest and can't not see the beach from the pool area so it feels rather closed off and not like you are at the ocean in Mexico. However the beach it's self is very beautiful with lots of white sand and really no seaweed. They come by each day with a bobcat to pick any extra seaweed up so it is very clean compared to other resorts we have been to in the area. We splurged for a swim up room but but it wasn't really worth it because the water was super cold. We didn't see anybody else with a swim up room actually using the feature. The pool area was much less impressive than other hotels we have stayed at in the area also. You cannot see the ocean from the pools so there's really no difference then staying at a hotel in Orlando let's say versus This hotel. The rooms themselves are very luxurious but almost too large! The hot tub on the balcony was definitely the highlight. Roomservice was fabulous for breakfast on the balcony every morning. All of the restaurants were very very nice and fabulous interior design. We did notice though that the adults only side was significantly nicer than the family side.

Overall, the resort was great. However, the family concierge rooms should have better accomadations. I didn't see the benifet of paying extra for family concierge. The rooms were small for a family of 4.
