The location was perfect....close to everything but just far enough away to not be kept up all night with loud club music. Superior and friendly staff....attentive to any needs and with a smile on their face. Loved the romantic and lush green setting with the roof pool and hottubs. Nice perk to have bar service on the roof. The best included breakfasts I have ever had! Can not wait to come back

Room was very nice and updated. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Room service did an excellent job each day. Highly recommended.

The reservation was mistakenly made for only one person and and additional 1100 dollars for the week was assessed Not happy but otherwise good

This hotel is in a great area, close to lots of restaurants and not far from the beach. the rooms are nice and the grounds are very pretty. it faces a park, but as the military had taken over the street and the park, there wasn't a view. our room faced the large military tent and they were able to move us to a garden/pool view room, which was very nice. Michel, and all the staff, were very nice and helpful. breakfast is really good and included, and the rooftop deck is great.

Very quaint hotel. Very clean and very nice staff. The only downfall is the sizes of the room. Everything felt cramped. Walking distance from the beach and the nightlife but further enough to not deal with the noise of the nightlife. The breakfast that’s included is phenomenal!!! Not your typical hotel continental breakfast They have live music both during breakfast and dinner hours which adds to the nice ambiance.

Had an amazing time in Playa. I would recommend this hotel...much better choice than all-inclusive hotels.

My boyfriend and I arrived to La Pasion Thursday August 24 and stayed until Tuesday Aug 29. Our stay here was nothing short of amazing! The rooms were clean, cool (very refreshing after walking around Playa for a few hours), the bathroom was spacious and shower was great! Oh, and the rooftop pool was a blast! I've only previously stayed at resorts when vacationing so I was a little worried before hand but after reading previous reviews we decided to give La Pasion a try, and I'm SO glad that we did. We WILL be back!!

Nice roof top pool and jacuzzi 's.. Great breakfast with euro plan... Friendly staff..rooms a bit small.. As well as bathroom crowded ... Within walking distance to beach and 5th avenue..

From its central location, to the outstanding staff, to the various amenities and style - Hotel Pasion is my preferred choice for staying in Playa Del Carmen. Location wise, one has easy access to the beach as well as 5th Avenue's promenade. A Walmart is 100 yds away for any things you may need. The look and style of the hotel is appealing to say the least with many plants, exposed wood, 3 pools, lounge chairs, sitting areas and libraries. The included breakfast is well-executed too. The most important element - to me - is their staff. They could not be nicer, more accommodating, helpful and professional. I made "friends" with at least five of them. Throw in free underground parking, a guitarist to serenade one in the morning, and well, it's a home run. Go. Stay. Enjoy.

The best part of this hotel is the warm reception you receive when you arrive. If you arrive in the evening you were greeted with wine and cookies. You are escorted to the room. And anything you need this taken care of for you right away. There is a lovely rooftop pool and lounge area with a Jacuzzi and bar . Very nice for late afternoon and evening relaxation. The hotel is in a quiet area with many restaurants nearby. Beach is a short walk. While a little small the room is very nice with a lot of cute touches. The only complaint I had and I believe it is only the room I was assigned, 204, is that the bathroom was really tiny upon checkout I asked and was told that other rooms have a larger bathrooms. Overall it was a very very nice stay.

Quiet, great location for catching ADO back to the airport. Great restaurants on either side.

We stayed at La Pasion due to other positive reviews and they are right! The best thing about La Pasion are the people. All the staff is so nice with the greatest recommendations and such a friendly and helpful manor. The location is perfect for walking to the beach, shopping and the ferry to Cozumel. There are many great restaurants close as we avoided the overly touristy places on 5th ave. The breakfast provided was plentiful and delicious...a great way to start the day. Can't wait to go back!!!

Our room had a few stairs and zig zag to get to room if you had a lot of luggage this would be a problem other rooms have easier access overall great hotel with character. PS no children allowed we didn't know this we wanted our granddaughter to spend a couple of ours at the pool but we couldn't she lives in Playa Del Carmen

Best experience I have had at a hotel probably ever. Could not improve upon anything. Amazing housekeeper. All members of staff were helpful, sincere, and spoke perfect english. They even washed and folded my laundry for basically free. Rooftop pool, spas, and cabanas were clean and fun. Location is right where you want to be...not too noisy but only a couple streets away from the action. 5 min walk to beach. BOOK NOW

Staff was great, and the service a 100%. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone

I really didn't expect much from a hotel in Playa del carmen but I was impressed from first walking in the door all the way until checkout. The staff is wonderful (especially Rudolf). They went way out of their way to make sure you felt welcome and you were enjoying your trip. I would not stay anywhere else non-resort wise.

Very nice people and environment, convenient place, close to beach and public transportation

This was a great option for a romantic hotel in Playa for a couple on a budget. The hotel has beautiful details and decor and feels very secluded despite being in the middle of Playa, a short walk to the main shopping area. The hot tub and pools were great, clean but not immaculate, more than we expected for the price. The king sized bed was wonderful, breakfast was included and delicious. Handsome and friendly younger staff with a casual atmosphere.

Had a great experience here . The hotel itself is charming and quaint . Rooms are on the small side but very clean , comfy beds . I didn't like the brown bedspread myself , it's a synthetic and I hate that. Half way through our stay our house keeper Rosie put a nice white waffle cotton one on , liked that . The breakfast was excellent , fruit plate ,juice , pastry , omelette( or other main) and toast , coffee or tea . The staff are fantastic. Super friendly and helpful . Pedro , Melvin , Pepe, Rodrigo , Martin , Nazario and all the others really made the stay. Loved the location across from the town square , off 5th Ave but close enough , 10 mins to the beach ( always love to be closer , hence the 4/5 ) , near lots of great restaurants . We will be back for sure !

Hot tub was cold, pool wasn't clean, and the rooms were just so-so. Definitely a budget stay and that's it. With that said, breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and kind.
