Nice roof top pool and jacuzzi 's.. Great breakfast with euro plan... Friendly staff..rooms a bit small.. As well as bathroom crowded ... Within walking distance to beach and 5th avenue..

From its central location, to the outstanding staff, to the various amenities and style - Hotel Pasion is my preferred choice for staying in Playa Del Carmen. Location wise, one has easy access to the beach as well as 5th Avenue's promenade. A Walmart is 100 yds away for any things you may need. The look and style of the hotel is appealing to say the least with many plants, exposed wood, 3 pools, lounge chairs, sitting areas and libraries. The included breakfast is well-executed too. The most important element - to me - is their staff. They could not be nicer, more accommodating, helpful and professional. I made "friends" with at least five of them. Throw in free underground parking, a guitarist to serenade one in the morning, and well, it's a home run. Go. Stay. Enjoy.

The best part of this hotel is the warm reception you receive when you arrive. If you arrive in the evening you were greeted with wine and cookies. You are escorted to the room. And anything you need this taken care of for you right away. There is a lovely rooftop pool and lounge area with a Jacuzzi and bar . Very nice for late afternoon and evening relaxation. The hotel is in a quiet area with many restaurants nearby. Beach is a short walk. While a little small the room is very nice with a lot of cute touches. The only complaint I had and I believe it is only the room I was assigned, 204, is that the bathroom was really tiny upon checkout I asked and was told that other rooms have a larger bathrooms. Overall it was a very very nice stay.

Quiet, great location for catching ADO back to the airport. Great restaurants on either side.

We stayed at La Pasion due to other positive reviews and they are right! The best thing about La Pasion are the people. All the staff is so nice with the greatest recommendations and such a friendly and helpful manor. The location is perfect for walking to the beach, shopping and the ferry to Cozumel. There are many great restaurants close as we avoided the overly touristy places on 5th ave. The breakfast provided was plentiful and delicious...a great way to start the day. Can't wait to go back!!!

Our room had a few stairs and zig zag to get to room if you had a lot of luggage this would be a problem other rooms have easier access overall great hotel with character. PS no children allowed we didn't know this we wanted our granddaughter to spend a couple of ours at the pool but we couldn't she lives in Playa Del Carmen

Best experience I have had at a hotel probably ever. Could not improve upon anything. Amazing housekeeper. All members of staff were helpful, sincere, and spoke perfect english. They even washed and folded my laundry for basically free. Rooftop pool, spas, and cabanas were clean and fun. Location is right where you want to be...not too noisy but only a couple streets away from the action. 5 min walk to beach. BOOK NOW

Staff was great, and the service a 100%. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone

I really didn't expect much from a hotel in Playa del carmen but I was impressed from first walking in the door all the way until checkout. The staff is wonderful (especially Rudolf). They went way out of their way to make sure you felt welcome and you were enjoying your trip. I would not stay anywhere else non-resort wise.

Very nice people and environment, convenient place, close to beach and public transportation

This was a great option for a romantic hotel in Playa for a couple on a budget. The hotel has beautiful details and decor and feels very secluded despite being in the middle of Playa, a short walk to the main shopping area. The hot tub and pools were great, clean but not immaculate, more than we expected for the price. The king sized bed was wonderful, breakfast was included and delicious. Handsome and friendly younger staff with a casual atmosphere.

Had a great experience here . The hotel itself is charming and quaint . Rooms are on the small side but very clean , comfy beds . I didn't like the brown bedspread myself , it's a synthetic and I hate that. Half way through our stay our house keeper Rosie put a nice white waffle cotton one on , liked that . The breakfast was excellent , fruit plate ,juice , pastry , omelette( or other main) and toast , coffee or tea . The staff are fantastic. Super friendly and helpful . Pedro , Melvin , Pepe, Rodrigo , Martin , Nazario and all the others really made the stay. Loved the location across from the town square , off 5th Ave but close enough , 10 mins to the beach ( always love to be closer , hence the 4/5 ) , near lots of great restaurants . We will be back for sure !

Hot tub was cold, pool wasn't clean, and the rooms were just so-so. Definitely a budget stay and that's it. With that said, breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and kind.

This is a quiet, well-maintained boutique hotel located about 3-4 blocks from the beach/5th Avenue. Although it appears to cater primarily to couples, everyone (groups/singles) is welcomed. Perfect for relaxation. Breakfast (included) was very good, with decent menu variety. They also have nice little touches such as robes and slippers, refrigerator (with sodas and snacks available to purchase), an in-room safe, complimentary wine and snacks at night at the reception desk, and purified water and tea/instant coffee available anytime. Hotel staff were extremely helful and friendly. Minor criticisms: the pool, although nice sized, was unheated and cold, making swimming less than enjoyable. Bathroom was small and cramped--but in perfect working order. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at La Pasion.

This hotel is a little gem! Rooms are spacious and clean - pool area is perfect to just chill out. Location couldn't be better - a few minutes to 5th Avenue and the beach but far enough away to not be kept up all night. Staff are friendly and helpful and can organise tours etc for you. Great breakfast to get the day started.

the staff hotel delivered excellent customer service throughout our holiday. Always attentive and friendly to us. Gave us some gifts on arrival and departure of the hotel, and also useful tips of Playa Del Carmen. The location of the hotel was fantastic. Close to the 5th avenue and the beach too. No problems at all with the room, or anything else about the hotel. Excellent value, considering the customer service, location and free breakfast. Top customer service!

Heaven.Located at a perfect spot, just a short walking distance from the 5 av and the beach, quite at night , the staff is amazing and very friendly, the breakfast is very good and freshly cooked. El tapas, the spanish restaurant, is great...we went three times. Decoration is cosy and cute, and we love the garden and pools

Staff are friendly, and the hotel is located near city hall and town square, close enough to beach and 5th ave, but not the noise. (Unless there's a major event at the town square, such as Carnival) Room is plain and fairly clean, can use a few extra power outlets. The included breakfast was basic, with hot egg dishes, but instant coffee.

good experience - good location - nice hotel - friendly staff - we had a crummy view of 10b street

The hotel was simple and nice right next to the government/police buildings and away from the tourist area (I liked that but others may not) yet only a couple streets from main ave and beach. From our room, which was with a nice balcony in the courtyard, we could hear the church bells in the morning and night dance club music into the wee hours (but during the day it was silent there). The room was small but clean and comfortable. There was safe (note: computers/ipads may not fit inside it) but the hotel was relaxed and did not seem to have any security issues. There was no restaurant or bar but the tasty breakfast was served with a nice partner restaurant down the street. As for drinks or poolside snacks, the hotel staff said they could bring you drinks from nearby places to have by the pool or whatever since they do not permit you to bring your own (I think perhaps they are building a bar to be part of the hotel which was under construction next door). Overall it was a very nice stay and I would stay there again for a comfortable hotel not far from anything.
