The hotel is very nice. All buildings connected to each other with a roofing structure and in case of rain or a very hot sun you can walk under the roof to the beach or to the cafeteria. The beach is very nice and clean. There is a laguna and the water is calm. There is also a lazy river. The rooms are very clean. Nice variety of food and there are seven restaurants and the nice size cafeteria. There is a coffee place on the hotel's property. Great entertainment. The spa with the water therapy is a must. There is also a place for kids with the kids club - their own pool.

We received an updated room without asking. The building was close to the lobby. Which was great. The resort is large, so we did a lot of walking. Animals everywhere! Don't miss the botanical gardens. Saw monkeys and toucans there. The food at the japenese and steakhouse restarants was awesome. Tender filet cooked just right. I decided I don't like curry so the Thai wasn't good. My husband liked what I ordered, but didn't like his. The wings at the steakhouse and bbq shack are more smoked than hot wings. They are unbelievable!! My husband could polish off a plate even when we just had lunch!!! Okay, to be honest I ate a few off that plate! The bike trip was a bust. The cenote water was not blue due to the recent rains. On the beach behind the disco there are turtle nest marked. We planned to snorkel, but the flag was yellow or red everyday. We tried on the yellow day and shouldn't have. Bring water shoes! Ours were a lifesaver. I liked the rocks and coral, but not to walk on! Overall, We would go again. Wish it was adults only!

good food friendly staff beautiful clear bath warm water, you can see several kinds of fish close to the shore excellent snorkeling.

I booked my trip package to a different resort but wasnt enjoying it so we booked 2 days at grand sirenis had an amazing time.

This hotel has the best beach and pool. The pool did not have a lot children making noise and splashing water. The beach was never crowded. I recommend this resort for the pool and beach.

Second stay within the year...we came back for the snorkelling but unfortunately the water conditions did not cooperate and love the lazy river. The hotel is showing some wear, lengthy lineups at the beach bar, and inconsistent drinks from bar to bar (Diego is fantastic). When we were at the Thai restaraunt the drinks were very bad. The marble floors and staircases are quite slippery and dangerous when wet...knowing this we were very careful but I still slipped..as did others. There is also no notice or board that tells what is hppening on the resort other than the regular daily activities, the tree lighting, Mexican night, singers in lobby as well as outside the coffee shop would be nice to post in the lobby to inform guests. Overall nice place but we won't go back.

This resort was advertised as The #1 snorkeling resort in the Caribbean!. I was expecting to see colorful coral and fish. This was not the case. When I questioned it, the bellman told me it was really better snorkeling at Akumal. We made the short trip over to Akumal, only to find less to see when snorkeling. Other than that - the resort was very nice and friendly. The free alcohol was not available in the rooms, and the brands of alcohol were not recognizable. The only time I became upset was when the concierge lured us with a free spa treatment and Mexican breakfast because we were considered VIP guests, due to the upgraded room we purchased (for a view of the ocean). When I asked him if we had to listen to a sales pitch for time-share, he said No. Then when we arrived at the breakfast, they said we would have to participate in a 90-minute presentation. We felt betrayed and we declined to participate. By this time, we had missed the regular breakfast buffet. Needless to say, we were not happy about this delay in our day. Aside from the focus on time-share sales, we really enjoyed this resort. You should be aware, this is a very spread out resort, which requires a LOT of walking. Bell carts come by fairly often, so you can usually catch a ride to wherever you are going.

this is the 4th time in last 6 years that we have been there. they keep updating and adding more improvements. we are low maintenance people who just want to soak up the sun and relax. staff is friendly and accommodating. they do not have top shelf liquor unless u r a member. great snorkeling. if it rains there is not much to do.

We traveled here with two small children (ages 1 and 5) and had a great time. This was the first vacation where we never felt inclined to leave the resort. Everything was provided for in the resort. The food was good. The beach was excellent. And the snorkeling was on the resort. We also got to ride with the dolphins which was also part of the resort.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff was beyond accomodating. Everyone was so grateful and sweet. The only knocks I have on this place was the front staff in the lobby were kind of rude. We had an issue with the ATMs and they were not very helpful. Another issue was with internet. It is not included and the service was not that great. I was planning to do a bit of work on my trip but was not able to. Overall, the trip was great and the hotel was amazing. I would definitely still reccomend it.

Grand Sirenis is located on beautiful grounds. It is well maintained. The rooms are spacious but could use a little updating. The food was plentiful, fresh and well displayed in the buffet line. Although the food was not spectacular, there was a huge variety and one could find something filling and substantial. The staff was always very pleasant and helpful. The property is very large, making getting around a bit difficult if you are not up to long walks. Ground transportation could have been more available.

Went on family vacation with 2 boys. Very good place for all ages. Bad thing is that the beach is quite rocky, not enough smooth water entrances for such a big resort. also, you cannot have a long walk along the beach, but snorkeling is impressive - lots of sea creatures including turtles, squids, tropical fish and even octopus. Plenty of friendly wild animals for kid's fun.

We visited this resort and it was a great time. The staff was great and extremely friendly. The rooms were far from lobby and activities .... We had a little car picked us up however not all the time they are available. Not many daily activities during the day inside the resort. Overall we had a great time ...food was great and good drinks.

The hotel has dirty beach. The staff is unrenspansive to guest needs

The resort had great amenities however the staff was unattentive and not very helpful. Our dinner reservations were incorrect each time. We had room service but the phone stopped working the second day there and wasn't fixed until last day of stay. On the last night we returned to our room to find the A/C leaking water all over our personal items. Staff assistance was not very responsive or polite. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

The resort had really bad food. Rooms were a little dirty looking. Beds were horrible! The overall beach was nice of course, but we got sick of the food really quick. **There is no internet available in rooms** nor is there any wifi. you have to purchas everything!
