My husband and I booked this trip with family members.3 other couples. We enjoyed our trip very much. We were really never aware of the time and place of activities going on. I do wish we had reminders by the activity staff about the shows and games through out the day. The lists all the way in the libbies were hard for me to read.

The room was comfortable and the staff friendly, but this resort is way too big and my room was literally a half mile from the closet eating facility. There are few air conditioned common spaces and it is basically impossible to swim or snorkel at this resort, because of rocks just off the beach.

The hotel was very nice. The pool was the best. I thought the staff was very friendly and I would definitely go back.

Overall this was a great resort. Pools were amazing. Beach was also nice, although there was a little too much sea weed at the time we went (maybe the resort should invest in some equipment to clean it up instead of having staff do it with a rake... which is nearly impossible). Food was also pretty good, as was the entertainment. Overall a great value, but my only complaint was the size of the resort since it definitely was quite large. But, if you don't mind a bit of walking go for it!

We stayed here because of the day care for ages 1-2 (no other resort in the area has it) and it wasn't what we're used to. Not much air conditioning, closes in the middle of the day, not buttoned up, don't feed the kids so it was time consuming to pick them up for naps and food. We're used to receiving a sheet at the end of the day with everything they did too. Here, we were glad she was there, but she did look happy and the girls there loved her so the staff was great.

Had a wonderful time. Employee staff were great, very helpful. Enjoyed the beaches, very beautiful ,loved the infinity pool. Restaurants were awesome. The food was wonderful! Would definitely visit again. And would definitely recommend this resort to friends and family. Staff was very helpful for excursions. And very easy to get transportation to see sites. Over all a wonderful place.

This complex (4 hotels) is HUGE, so if you do not want to lose some calories walking - stay somewhere else. This complex has everything - nice beach, nice rooms (beds are a bit on firm side), restaurants, bars, entertainment, pools. Staff is extremely friendly (ok, few exceptions, so what :-) ) and efficient. What we particularly liked was that a la carte restaurant reservations were not necessary (unlike some places that you can have 2-3 reservations during your stay). Bottom line - if you want to find something to complain- you will find it. Otherwise, relax and let people at Grand Paladium spoil you!

I went with three friends. It was a girls week without the kids and husbands. We felt safe. The staff was very friendly. The resort is massive. Larger than I thought. I would recommend and go back.

The resort property is very clean and well maintained. It is set in a picturesque atmosphere with an abundance of flora and trails carved through the tropical jungle. The beach is very clean and we really enjoyed the seafront saltwater pool. My only complaints are that it is easy to get lost getting to your room especially at night, and there is lots of walking required to get around. There are golf carts that pick you up but we found they were inconsistent and random. Overall a great place to stay, but the resort is massive and you may be required to spend time figuring out the quickest ways to get around.

For the money I paid I expected a lot more. Room was large but pull out sofa bed was dirty and stained. Pillows were rock hard and you had to pay to get a better one from the pillow menu. Called 3 weeks in advanced to make sure my room was 2 double beds to accommodate 3 guests and was assured it was. Arrived to find a king and sorry cant switch us till the next day. Had to check out by 10am of our old room and couldn't get into a new room till check-in at 3pm. Ridiculous. No Poolside or beach wait staff. You have to get your own drinks and snacks. Staff was mostly uninterested in accommodating requests and questions. Hard to find coffee unless you go to the buffet or make in your room. Food was just OK. Service at restaurants was few and far between if they came to your table at all. If you go to 5th ave in Playa Del Carmen eat at a restaurant on the corner of 5th Ave and 30th. I forget the name something like El Alamente. Amazing! I would say if your only going to relax by the beach or pool and don't care about service then go here. Next time I will stay elsewhere.

Dear Beth, Thank you for taking the time to share your comment about your stay at Grand Palladium White Sand, we are very happy that you enjoyed your holidays with your friends at beautiful Riviera Mayas. We thank you as well for your suggestions regarding the announcement of the activities of our entertainment team, usually when you check in, in your welcome package you have the schedule of all the activities that are performed during the day, as we do not wish to be pushy, we usually extend our invitation for the activities in a very discreet manner, so we do not disturb most people´s relaxing time, however we will send this information to the Entertainment management, so they can consider possible new ways to encourage people to join the activities as well as announce them ahead of time. Again thank you for your opinion as this help us to be a better Hotel, we look forward to your return to this gorgeous paradise. Bets regards,
