the main deal breaker for us was that there were no hot Jacuzzi's in the entire resort. we were looking forward to evening relaxation in hot water not cold pools. In Winter months it is essential. second issue is that the food was not up to par with a 5 star resort. the coffee in the buffet restaurants was always lukewarm. lastly, our room A/C was not functioning well and we spent two nights muggy which is understandable to a point but the front staff gave us no credits or sympathy for it. you pay high dollar for all to work well and when it doesn't they should, at the very least, try to compensate in some way.

Cheap food. Juices and some drinks are watered down. Coffee was always cold. Low reception/wifi in room. Low electricity. Breakers would snap as soon as we turned on hair dryer or iron! Small bathtub!! NO jacuzzi, unless you pay extra to use the spa which has services too high to afford!! Restaurants take loooong to sit you and then another hour or two to bring your food!!

The lighting in the room was terrible. I had to use my phone to read at night. The food was just ok. Being a large group, it was very difficult to plan dinner as most places wouldn't make a reservation for us. The pools and beach were lovely. The activities were pretty good.

We took our 2 adult children, their spouses and grandson and had an extraordinary trip. Staff is wonderful, especially Rosa. They went beyond expectations, for example with the trams and being so accommodating. Food is excellent and ocean was gorgeous. This was our Christmas gift and they all want to return next year.

Great Beaches with coral reef near to see, Great Staff, Clean Rooms. Room was chilly at first and we couldn't get the ac adjusted properly so we just shut it off and that was okay for us. We stayed there in October not sure about the summer time.

They put us in the wrong room for the first two nights. We should have had two queens and a sofa sleeper, they only had one King and a sofa sleeper. The sleeper didn't even pull out to a level bed, it had a hump/drop in it. The food at the buffets was mediocre, the actual sit down restaurants were much better

We just got back from a weeklong stay at the GP Kantenah and we had a wonderful family vacation. The hotel and facilities are quite nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are a lot of activities you can participate in (or not). The only negatives we had were the food, particularly in the buffets, was rather mediocre and requests for things from the staff, such as restocking the minibar or sending a tram, often took several phone calls to get it done. The kids loved the pool and the water park. All the wildlife roaming the grounds was a lot of fun to see. The setting and the beaches are gorgeous.

Despite emailing & calling in advance; despite reminders immediately upon arrival (AND I speak/write fluently in Spanish)...the Staff continually outed the surprise event we had arranged for 8 guests. Every day we would speak to someone about something that had been divulged. Every day something new was disclosed. VERY disappointing. Other than that: Staff was friendly; accommodations were clean; variety of foods offered. Rooms do need more outlets for charging electronics. Vacation Club pitches got to be annoying. No means no.

We enjoyed our stay, but were disappointed in some aspects of the facility. The beach and the pool were conveniently located; however the pool was too deep for some of our family members to enjoy and we found we had to continuously swim in order to get to the pool bar or to the other side of the pool. The kiddie pool and beach were great and both were conveniently located. The staff was very personable to everyone.

From check in to check out, everything was great! Angel deserves a special thanks and he is great! We had a room 8 steps from the beach and beach bar was right there. This place is huge with numerous restaurants which were way better than most all-inclusives. In fact any I have ever been to; especially the filet at the steakhouse! The pool was great with a great setting although we just walked by to check it out. With our room right on the beach in the very last villa and considering we are beach people we spent most of the days in the ocean or lounging on the beach. We even purchased goggles at the gift shop. There is a reef about 100 meters out where you can see all types of fish and reefs. Beautiful! There is something for EVERYONE here whether you are 3 or 83. Great resort and will visit again!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The food is very good. You can eat at the specialty restaurants every night, but in the end we felt like the buffets were best. The ice cream there seemed homemade and was especially good. The beach is nice with palm trees for shade, but they don't bring you drinks at the beach like they do at the resort next door. There is no good snorkeling at the beach there at all. You will have to buy a snorkel trip if you want to snorkel. There are tons of animals around the resort, which was cool, but there are also tons of mosquitos. Buy I think all of Riviera Maya is that way. Bring bug spray. The resort is huge but they have a lot of carts to drive people around and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride. The swimming pools are all 5 feet deep which I find makes them a little too cool and not relaxing, but they look beautiful. Most of the resort staff are super friendly and helpful but others are not. The segway tour offered at the resort was a highlight for my husband. The shows didn't start until 10:15, and we were to tired to go that late.

very organized and clean. There was activity everyday and we didn't have to leave the resort. It was one of the best hotel I have been to. Very clean and very nice staff members.

This is an excellent resort overall. It is shared by 4 other resorts offering all activities to all. The beach is beautiful and you can snorkel right there. We took a side trip to Chicheniza... Aztec ruin. Food was fine and rooms very comfortable.

This is review is a year late sorry. Palladium riviera maya is huge 4 hotels we stayed at Kantenah in a myan suite. Check in was seamless. Room was very clean and spacious the myan suites are close to the beach and have an outdoor shower! Pool/Beach- white sand blue water somewhat rocky in places the area in front of the Colonial pool beach area is very nice no rocks. Pool is huge and a little over 5 ft. deep. Bars by the beach and pool are good servers work hard drinks are good. Food- buffet is good the only reason I didn't give them a 5 was towards the end of our stay I experienced some stomach issues but not a huge problem it is somewhat expected with drinking and eating a good bit. Overall a great vacay would definitely go again highly recommend!

Had an awesome 4th visit here. We were upgraded to a Mayan Suite just steps from the beach. Saw some amazing sunrises and did a LOT of walking. Staff was awesome, especially Carlos at the Secret Pool and Javier at Hemingway's bar (air conditioned bar with premium liquor - perfect place for a nightcap). Food was sometimes hit or miss, but there is so much of it and so much variety that it's impossible not to find something! Now planning our next trip!

I went with my family last summer. It was great! Very nice hotel, an amazing beach, and the buffet was very nice! I would come back

This was the trip where I proposed to my fiance. But that was on the last day of the trip. Prior to that we had to experience the towel shortage and some long waiting times at restaurants. Of course, traveling over Thanksgiving week means that certain things should be expected - still, it was a bit disappointing. But - everything that was connected to our engagement was simply PERFECT. The staff, the location on the beach, the food - it was a fantastic experience. And even though I am giving Kantenah a 4 - we will definitely come back there. And I think we would have considered coming back even if we did not have a very happy occasion forever associated with it.

My husband and I couldn't have asked for more from our honeymoon hotel. We were located right in front of the beach. Staff was very helpful, excellent food and the pools were beautiful. We will definitely go back

This place is the very definition of "large" and "average". It's absolutely gigantic (it may be a full 10 minute walk from your room to the beach), and everything here screams "revolving door". The food is average at best and the service is highly impersonal. It does offer a nice kids water park and a fair amount of activities, if you are the type that must be constantly entertained. If you like cozy places that feel personalized, however, you'd do well to stay away from this place. The beach is large and the sand is clean enough - however, once you venture into the water, it turns out that only a small section of the sea floor (a little to the left of center) offers nice soft sand ambling around in the water along the rest of the beach is perilous, as the sea floor here is rough with rocks, coral, and god knows what else. There are definitely many better hotel choices available in Riviera Maya, in my opinion.

all expectations met. a wonderful place for families and friends. the staff was excellent and all requests granted.

Dear Azael, Thank you for selecting our Grand Palladium Kantenah for your winter holidays. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the beauty of our privileged location, with a fantastic beach, and that you found an added value in the variety of restaurants and the relaxing world class massage that you had in our Zentropía Spa. Nevertheless, it is very unfortunate to know that you were expecting hot Jacuzzis in our pools; we actually have some of our pools heated during winter times, and we are surprise to hear that you did not enjoy them. Your comment will be studied by our management to find a better option to our clients in the future and we also apologize for the situation presented with the AC in your room and the different experiences with food and drinks, this should not happen and we regret that affected your holidays. Again, thank you for your words, for your trust, and for your time. It was lovely having you here and we hope to welcome you back again anytime near soon and exceed your expectations. Kind regards, Rosa Rivero Hospitality Manager

Dear Guest, Thank you for making us your chosen Hotel for your family holidays and to celebrate your grandson´s birthday! On the positive side, we are pleased to kno that our facilities and the different activities that we have for your entertainment made this trip nice and enjoyable for all your group. Regarding the reservations for the restaurants, only 2 of our restaurants require a reservation made with guests relations, for the rest of the restaurant we use the system first come first serve, and we regret to hear that this was not as you expected. Dear Teen Traveling, First and foremost, thank you for your comments about your holidays in our resort and for taking the time to share your experience about some situations that you mentioned in your trip report. I would like to mention that it is important for us as a hotel to know how and where we fall short and what we need to do to better meet our guest´s expectations. Per the room category booked, in your case the junior suite, it can have 2 double beds and sofa bed or king size bed and a sofa bed subject to the hotel availability. I understand your preferences were 2 double beds and sofa bed and I am glad we could fulfill it during your stay. On the other hand, we can assure you that we will take very seriously your comments to enhance our services, as we strive to make every guests vacation one that they will remember as their best vacation ever. Warmest regards.

Our entertainment staff will be very happy to know that you enjoyed the many fun activities they perform during the day and the shows at night, thank you for highlighting this aspect of your holidays.
