It was a great hotel and service was great. I just think it would of been even more better if they had more stuff going on around the pool area because I've noticed after 5pm there was no music playing.

All inclusive food was not very good... Service was poor at most restaurants! We almost had our meal finished before we would receive our drinks.

Wonderful I like the secluded beach diferent places to eat bunch of food drinks are ok we eat at 3 a la carte restaurant all of them good no reservations required at the end so pleased to choose this hotel...

Hotel es muy limpio muy cómodo comida excelente. Bebidas muy buenas personal del hotel muy amable.

Beautiful views, friendly staff, clean, and very nice! Great service

Good place to get away! Comfy beds and good restaurants on site.

We had a FANTASTIC time at Catalonia Riveria Maya! Upon arriving, we got there before check in time and they let us enjoy all the amenities and leave our bags until our room was ready. They also upgraded us to "Privileged" because we booked through Orbitz, so instead of having 1 A la Carte meal a day, we had this for any and all meals...which included the Crepery, BLoved, (which was the BEST with a fantastic view), and more. The staff was incredible (mainly staff at the Chill Out Bar) and never left us empty handed without a drink. Before we were finished with one drink, they had another ready to go. They came by our room in the evenings after they had cleaned earlier in the day with refreshed bottled water if needed. There is plenty to do on the resort & it is all included at no extra charge. We checked out the bikes several mornings and road around to the harbor and down the streets. It is an extremely safe neighborhood that has some great vacation property. The roads had a separate bike lane and are not like what you hear on typical Mexico...it was extremely safe. The resort also has a mini catamaran you can reserve for a 30 min time slot and they take you out in the ocean and it was a blast! Just be sure you do this early in the AM to reserve your time slot - only 2 people can go at a time. They also have shows in the evening...opted for this one night but found this a bit cheesy, but when you are seeing Aladdin in Mexico, you can't have too high of expectation

So happy. Everything from the staff to the meals exceeded our expectations. Great place for a family. Will visit again.

Had a good time, beach bar staff were great!! Food was OK, better in the restaurants than the buffets, custom made omelets were very good. Japanese restaurant was excellent and fun too!

Staff was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Many options to choose from and they will work with you to tweak the menu. Nice rooms! A lot of amenities. Nice facility all together, not too big or small! Views were great.

The resort was great on all public spaces, and offered constant activities that catered to every type of person and interest. Upgrades were half-decent, as long as you are offered the deal on them. Staff were great, food choices were even better. The room was.... nothing to write home about. Our stay was short and the first two days we spent listening to our safe beep CONSTANTLY. We had to be in our room for anyone to come look at it, so spent a lot of time wasted waiting around for technicians to come. (They replaced after finally deeming it broken). The staff were super nice though :) Theeeeeen the TV broke, which wasn't a huge deal as we didn't have it on very often (and after it broke, it wouldn't stay on at all). Theeeeeeeen the sink started leaking, a lot. All over the floor. We made this discovery the day before we left and ended up just telling the hotel, but not wasting anymore time sitting in our rooms waiting for them to fix it. Unfortunately, even with all of these problems, we never got an offer to swap rooms, and the upgraded "Privilege" room wasn't SUPER amazing. Overall though, good people and great food would keep it in mind.

Nice hotel close to the beach in an exclusive area, like a small bay, kind staff, good food, animation staff awsome! I highly recommend this hotel, we had a really good time!

The resort was average for the price. The staff were friendly and their buffet restaurants were good. However, the fine dining is a joke. The food and service in the fine dining locations are terrible. The resort has a private beach and the water and the ambience was good.

Orbitz first started out with not honoring there Best Price Guarantee. Second there staff on the phone is terrible and knows little. Had to take care of everything myself with the airlines upon flight canceled.

Overal, a nice medium-sized resort, with a extremely friendly and helpful staff. The pools and beachfront were very nice and inviting. Bartenders were very quick and wiling to do just about anything to satisfy your drinking needs. My only complaint would be the margaritas, you would think that a resort in Mexico would have them figured out well, but they didn't. My favorite liquor is Tequila, and though they didn't carry my favorite Tequila, Milagro Añejo, they had some, less costly but suitable replacements. Back to the Margaritas, I was highly disappointed about their taste, since that's my favorite drink. I could surely teach them how to make the perfect Margarita. The food was very good, but lacking in the "Mexican Experience" apparently they have a "Mexican Night" which we happened to miss, so I can't rate that particular food. I will say that their guacamole was EXCEPTIONAL and was offered daily. The Premier Room was large and very well appointed, our only complaint, the lack of an ice machine. We had to call room service every time we needed ice, which with the super small ice buckets they have, it was 2-4 times per day. Pools were nice as was the beach areas.

Catalonia Riviera Maya was a wonderful destination for my husband and my 10 year anniversary. The staff was great and setup of resort was wonderful. We were "Privileged" and the service was exceptional at the special bars set up for us. If you go to this resort you have to get this service for the beach bar alone.

Clean rooms, nice staff, good food. For the value, this is a great stay. We keep returning to it.

Friendly staff, good food, fun activities for all ages. Had a great time just wish it wasn't so far from the airport.

Good for the price, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants are very good but the buffet(s), they lack of variety, same things over and over every day. My room was to close to theater and very noisy for our baby to go to sleep, changed it to one of the villas, and same thing, all night was a non stop noise. It was a fan running non stop from a storage close by.

overall it was good beautiful hotel on the beach food was amazing staff was great with the exception of a few miserable chefs when you are on holiday you would love to see all staff smily and happy
