Loved all the food options especially me being gluten free.

All is beutifull and excellent

Nice property but rooms and buildings look dated. Staff does try to keep them up to date. Great landscaping around the buildings. Nice big gym, but very loud music in the gym. Food ranged from very good for breakfast and good for dinner to very mediocre for lunch. Beach looks nice but not much to snorkel from the beach directly. Mostly used pools which were nice but pretty shallow. Decent selection of drinks at the bar and staff works hard to provide good selection of drinks. Got sales presentation invite by phone, not worth the time to attend. Overall nice property but could be better in terms of food, lack of entertainment and expensive shopping.

A little old style, should improve in the lobby areas, food and rooms. Not too many options for restaurants, buffet is just fine . Night shows should improve urgently. Won’t be back . 10 points for employees, every one is super nice and willing to help

VIP service is NOT honored here FYI for anyone scheduling for that reason. Also when scheduling Caribe they relocate you to Tropical upon arrival.

The property is beautiful and clean. The beach wonderful. The property is also huge. Pros. The room was beautiful and clean with a lovely view of the pool and ocean. The food was great and varied if you went to the different restaurants, which we did. Most of the staff were friendly and kind. Cons. I am disabled and have a very difficult time walking due to multiple spinal surgeries etc. I asked if a golf cart was available to take me to my room upon check in. It had been a hard long weekend of flights for me. I was informed they did not have golf carts by premium level check in( i was surprised given the size of the property) it took us quite sometime to get to our room( my daughter and granddaughter were with me) causing so much pain and exhausted me but we were so happy with the room and the jacuzzi . We missed our dinner reservation because of our misunderstanding about assistance for disabled in the barcelo complex. BUT the last day we spoke to Sebastion at the "vacation club" let us know if we became "club members" i would get a private golf cart to my room when we vacation with barcelo in the future. I WILL NEVER VACATION WITH BARCELO AGAIN. Never at any 4 to 5 star resort have i stayed in have i been discriminated against so outrageously, obviously. Ohh sebastion also told me about how my trip, i arranged was a "ford" but their offering is a "bmw" of vacations because you can pick your room in category and you can get a golf cart. And more

Beautiful gardens, very courteous service from happy employees. We had comfortable room with view of the sea. Buffets had large variety of food, not warm enough for us. Specialty restaurants were very good. Housekeeping was excellent. Most of the time we come during the same time (1st week of March) but this year it was a lot busier with spring breaks.

The property has really grown/expanded since out last stay. This was our 9th time here. We were upgraded to VIP due to a freak accident in our shower. The tiles fell down on me and cut my foot/hand. Staff and medical were called and I was very well taken care of for the cuts on my foot/hand. The manager, Kevin, then came up to tell us to pack up (we were on our 2nd of 11 days there) and we would be moved to another room. Little did we know we'd be upgraded to VIP beachfront suite. It was amazing! The staff/manager made sure we were well taken care of. The overall property has expanded to include an Adults Only section as well as swim-ups. The restaurants are amazing with such very good food. We loved this property long ago and still love it. One does not have to leave the premises as there is a mall/shopping center with bowling alley, escape room, casino, dolphin interaction, etc right on the grounds. We'll definitely return!

The rudest and apathetic staff we have ever encountered in 25 years of traveling to Cancun and Riveria Maya. Not once did we get kind service. It was all-inclusive, and we hardly could get extra or any n/a drinks like soda or water for the room. We stayed in the largest and most upgraded room, and it made no difference. We love room service. It always took over an hour and was often cold. Cold fries and burgers are no good. If we had not upgraded each room service plate would have cost $18. One of the most expensive trips we have taken and by far the worst. Keep in mind that the airport had no staff therefor customs and immigration took over 1 1/2 hours to clear the van we reserviced prior to the trip through Orbitz to take us to the resort was not in and we had to wait an additional 45 mins. It was not peak season and seemed fairly slow as far as the amount of guests. We will not return to a Barcelo resort and do not recommend going to one. The cleaning ladies did a nice job however we did tip $12 a day to make sure it was nice.

The staff in the front was very rude, we waited all day to get another room because the ac was blowing too much and we had to sleep in hoodies, then they finally got a room next day didn’t bother to let us know we had to go up front and ask for the room again. Also the last day the power went out at dinner around 8pm and didn’t come back on till 4am in the morning so we had to sleep in the hot and sweated the whole night.Definitely won’t be returning to this resort. Now the good part was the food that was the only thing we enjoyed on this trip. The beach was full off sea weeds so we didn’t end up swimming in the ocean at all.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Love the amenities and restaurants. Only negative thing I could think of was the bathroom was really dated.

Pools excellent, beach nice in parts, water clearness wasn’t what I thought it would be, drinks excellent, room was nice and housekeeping did a great job, bed made, floor clean, Hibachi style restaurant was excellent…..over all a great vacation

Great place to stay if you have children, they have a lot of fun activities for everyone also there is a walking distance cenote.Staff was very attentive,specially Ivan from caribe restaurant he made sure we had everything we needed while having breakfast at caribe buffet.

Great service, food, amenities and shows. Hotel complex is beautiful. Resort personal are very nice and attentive. Some rooms need to be updated but overall they are nice. Definitely I will go again and would recommend it to others.
