Aventura Mexicana

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Aventura Mexican is such a wonderful hotel - you should stop searching the endless options and book here! The reviews are right in that the kids pool is a little small but my 3 kids loved it and I couldn’t pull them out. The restaurant breakfast (included) was great and there were so many friendly people staying there we all had a great time. Most importantly, the staff was *exceptional*. Enrique and Luis were always so helpful and kind - I would recommend a stay based solely on the staff. The location is great - 1 block from 5th Ave and 2 blocks from the beach. We used the Kool Beach Club discount they offered and that was a great time too. I would anticipate a lot of street noise at night which I could see might bother people, but I liked it. It made the vacation feel vibrant and fun. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Thanks Adventura Mexicana!!

Friendly stuff from Jose At front desk To all waiters at bistro cafe

Culture, location and the most comfortable beds in Playa Del Carmen!

This was our 6th time staying at this property. Close to all that 5th ave has to offer.

Second time we stAyed here. Everything was good. Since our first stay, the restaurant has gotten even better. Staff is very accommodating. Hotel is close to 5th avenue.

Great location. Close to the action but has a secluded courtyard design which blocks out most of the street noise. Even our street view room was relatively quiet as it was on the edge of the main area. Good food. Friendly staff. The beds were much more comfortable than any other bed I’ve slept in a Mexican hotel.

Located one half block off the main shopping street. Nice and clean with lots of charm. A boutique hotel not a resort. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Would highly recommend for an in town non resort type of hotel. The price was good.

Last time was six years ago and we enjoyed it then. This time we sprung for the extra $10 a night for a suite and it was great to have the extra room. The included "order off the menu" breakfast was a great addition. I was surprised to not see another person tip for the service at breakfast. That was puzzling. Pleasant employees and a quiet environment. There was a large group of divers that came in a couple of nights before we left and even though they congregated very near our room we had peace and quiet inside. I'd stay again.

Everything was clean! Staff was super friendly. The food is delicious! I would recommend the chilaquiles for breakfast. The hotel is right off the Main Street where you can find restaurants and shops. I will be staying here again when I come back.

Aventura Mexicana is like a miniature resort right in the center of 5ta Avenida. The good: location couldn't be better! Beautiful property with pools, fountains and rustic decor. Staff is attentive. Breakfast is included and pretty good. Room was three steps away from the pool, spacious and beds were really good. The bad: details like small holes in one of the drapes, a musty smell in the lobby and a mystery stain on one of the pillows. All in all, a great stay and we'll book it again when in Playa.

Great location and great staff. The hotel is really nice, close to shops and lots of restaurants. About 3 blocks from the beach.

Had a great time at this wonderful hotel. Great service from everyone from maids to front desk. Free breakfast is made to order and the best we have every had at a hotel. Excellent location, walking distance to most everything. Interior courtyard is beautiful. Room comfortable. Only downside is weak WiFi in room.

There is not one bad thing that I can say about our time at this hotel. We'll never vacation at a big resort when visiting Playa Del Carmen.

This was our second trip to the Aventura Mexicana. We love the location and the hotel staff really appreciate you being there. We did have an issue with ants in the room. They were quick respond.

We had a great time, enjoyed everything in Playa del Carmen, hotel and staff very nice!! Definitely we recommend it to our friends!!

Family hotel all the ladies that work there very friendly and helpful.

This is our 4th time staying at this hotel. We love the staff, the waiters and waitresses!! So accommodating and friendly! Rooms are very clean and comfortable!

I stay 8 nights, enjoy from food, service. Many thanks to chief, food was so delicious.

The hotel has a tropical look that we enjoyed every time we walked the corridors to get to our room. Palms and flowers surround the pool, and the hotel's restaurant is next to the pool, and very convenient for ordering drinks while sitting by the pool.

This is a very nice boutique hotel right next to all the action, yet is an oasis of its own. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and they offer complimentary breakfast daily. My husband and I will be back!!!
