Great location, good staff. My room was noisy and hot, had old furniture. The bartender at the pool probably tried to charge me two or three beers (I only drank one before leaving and the lady doing my check out treated this matter in a professional way --I told her about the charge because it wasn't in the bill). Unfortunately, as others have said, location is the very best this hotel has to offer renovation and better selection of (some) personnel might help...

The hotel is far from being what the picture or the description shows. The room was old and had a stale smell, when I turned on the AC, water was dripping from the ceiling.. I only stayed 1 night so didn't really bother me but I wouldn't go back. Breakfast was good and the view even better. Staff very helpfull and friendly with excellent English speaking skills.

The hotel is directly across from the beach. Location is very safe and just a short cab ride to Copacabana.

The hotel was at a great location in Leblon which is a quieter upscale area. The views from the roof and also our room was great! The breakfast was good quality. For internet you have to go to the lobby. The elevators were very slow and dumb. However I think Rio in general does not have good elevator technology. But the room was great and I am happy I stayed there and would recommend it.

We had a fabulous room with a direct ocean view. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and we had no bothersome noise. The hotel personnel were very helpful to us, and the best meal we had the whole three week trip to South America, including 16 days aboard a luxury cruise ship, was served at Marina Palace's second story restaurant. We definitely plan to return.

Lackluster, had to switch rooms to find comfort but finally did. Has the basics. If they renovated all of the rooms instead of 2 floors, I'd probably go back. Make sure you ask which room you are getting.

We had a week long family vacation in Rio staying at the Marina Palace in Leblon. It was great. The breakfast was good. The pool at the top of the hotel, while small, was a nice place to stay and you can't beat the proximity to the sea with the availability of towels and beach chairs. A nice hotel to stay with your family.

The Marina Palace is right on Leblon beach, the less known neighbor of Ipanema and Copacabana that is equally gorgeous. The views are spectacular and beach service means you can walk the to beach in your swimsuit and staff there sets you up with towel, chair, and umbrella for free and a waitress for drinks. Bike rentals available in front were a good way to get around, since there's a bike path along the beaches. Staff were plentiful and helpful, but beware that a minority of them speak English, so you may need to go to a second person when you need something. Our room was spacious and comfortable with great views. A great place for vacation!

Beach Front in Leblon beach...great breakfast and friendly staff. great location, I had an amazing view of the sea...must have. also great little pool bar on its roof deck with spectacular view. only downside was poor WiFi.

lebon it's the best beach and hotel has a great location

The hotel is right on the water and our room had beautiful views of both the Christ and the beach. We had to ask for a renovated room, though, as apparently the older ones are quite run down. Our renovated room was nice, clean and very comfortable. The hotel breakfast was great with fresh fruit etc...and the beach amenities were just what we needed. The only two complains are that there was a terrible sewage smell in the lobby that was really unbearable and internet was very costly. For those of us from abroad who depend on wifi - I paid ~$20 for 24 hours of access to wifi.

I travelled with 2 friends and our stay at the hotel was amazing from beginning to end. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Location was perfect- right across from the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice. The staff was accommodating. However the elevators would take a while to retrieve the guests and I got stuck once with a father and his baby. The food for breakfast was pretty good for your typical inclusive breakfast but the bacon was mostly fat. The maids did a great job cleaning. The front desk was super kind along with the bell staff. Overall location was wonderful. You're near pier 12 here and Ipanema and Copacobana are about 1-2 kilometers away.

Location on Leblon beach cant be beat. Got a great deal online (beat other websites by $100+). The room itself was average but good enough!

This Hotel is just at Leblon Beach, best beach and neighborhood in Rio. Walking distance close to great restaurants, bars, shops and most beautiful beach in Rio. The facilities are old, with noisy AC and windows that do not open (bedroom) or that do not close (bathroom). Be Aware they charge you extra for Internet USD 20 per day and parking USD 25 per day. Breakfast was avarage. Overall I recommend!

Not easy to get online. A bit expensive for US standards. Very good location. Many good restaurants within walking distance.

You can't find better value, hospitality or location than this trendy yet personable hotel. The staff is genuinely caring, the views are spectacular and location is convenient to all the hot spots.

Leblon is a great place to stay in Rio. Very safe and close to many restaurants. Hotel lobby is small, but nicely equipped. Elevators were slow and outdated. I rented a basic room with two beds. The beds were old and saggy. The room itself was very small. The bathroom was very small and not very clean. Overall, I would recommend stretching a bit more on price to stay at a better hotel in Rio. In general, hotels in the city are not a fantastic value for the money.

The staff was friendly. The room was basic but we had a nice view on the beach and the Christ. Fairly noisy, you could hear the room next door from time to time. Didn't try the restaurant since they are somany great places to eat around it. Had service once and the food was good. The roof top pool is great to relax. Great location for buses, the metro station ias far !

The location is great! The amenities of the room are okay (not great shower). The staff work hard and are really helpful, even if you don't speak Portugese.
